Politics2015: Oke Ogun PDP Endorses Former Oyo State Governor Alao-akala For Gov. Race by Solutioncrib(op): 7:17am On Oct 03, 2014
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in
Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, on Thursday, at a meeting in Oje Owode, endorsed the
aspiration of Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, to govern the state again on the platform of the party.

In a communiqué, issued at the end of the meeting, which was signed by the duo of Ola Adigun Irawo and Chief Gbadebo Adetoro, the party also lent its support to the senatorial ambition of Honourable Abisodun Kareem Tajudeen, currently
representing Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West in the House of Representatives.

The party, which lauded both Alao-Akala and Tajudeen, for their support over the years, called on both the national and state secretariats of the party to ensure that all aspirants are allowed a leveled-playing field.

"The purpose of democracy is served
when the wishes of the people are
allowed to prevail," the party noted.
"It is, therefore, important that the wishes of the members of our great party with respect to those that will represent them in the general election be allowed to prevail. This can only be guaranteed by allowing a leveled-playing field for all the
aspirants."

Oke Ogun PDP assured the leadership of the party at both the state and national levels of its readiness to ensure the victory of the party in the ensuing elections.
"Our resolve to return Oyo State to the fold of the PDP-controlled states is well known. We shall, in cooperation with other zones in the state, ensure that we deliver the state to the PDP in 2015," the
communiqué stated.

While congratulating the Federal
Government and the nation at large on the country's 54th independence
anniversary, the party called on the
Federal Government to complete ongoing projects in the area.

Politics2015: PDP Insists On October Deadline For Nomination Forms by Solutioncrib(op): 7:04am On Oct 03, 2014
THE ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday, insisted that the sale of its nomination forms to all aspirants under its platform in the 2015 general elections would close on October 30 as contained in its guidelines for congresses and primaries for the general elections, saying there would be no extension whatsoever on the deadline.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh.
According to the party, "all aspirants are therefore advised to adhere strictly to this directive as the party shall not extend the sales beyond this date."

It therefore urged all aspirants to carefully study the guidelines and party's code of conduct for elections and ensure that they conduct their campaigns accordingly as it
warned that "it shall not condone any
aberration or abuse of its internal
electoral process."

This came as the leadership of the party warned its members at the state levels against the endorsement of certain aspirants for elective offices in the 2015 general election without the approval of the party at the national level.

According to the statement, "whilst the party cannot stop individuals, groups or communities from endorsing persons of their choice, the national leadership wishes to restate in the strongest possible
terms that elected party officials at the state, local government and ward levels must not be involved in such, as they must remain as unbiased umpires in the nomination process."

It clarified that "for the avoidance of
doubt, only the National Executive
Committee (NEC), as an organ of the party can officially endorse a candidate under the PDP constitution."

It advised all party officials at all levels to be guided by the constitution of the party in their day to day administration.

PoliticsThree Boko Haram Members Sentenced To 25 Years Each by Solutioncrib(op): 9:52pm On Sep 30, 2014
https://solutioncrib.com/discussion/foto/arrested_boko_haram_suspects_abia.jpg

The Federal High Court in Lagos on
Tuesday sentenced three Boko Haram
members to 25 years imprisonment each.

However, journalists were not allowed to cover the judgment.

Only lawyers in the prosecution and
defence teams were allowed in court.
A source, who witnessed the verdict, but craved anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, told reporters that the fourth defendant was acquitted.

The court, on December 3 last year, barred journalists from covering the trial of 17 suspected members of the sect.
Justice Ibrahim Buba made the order
following an application by the Lagos
State Attorney-General and prosecuting counsel, Mr. Ade Ipaye.
Men of the Department of Security
Services (DSS) had prevented journalists from covering the suspects' arraignment last November 27.

The accused are - Ali Mohammed, Adamu Karumi, Ibrahim Usman, Bala Haruna, Idris Ali, Mohammed Murtala, Kadiri Mohammed, Mustapha Daura, Abba Duguri, Sanni Adamu, Danjuma Yahaya, Musa Audu, Mati Daura, Farouk Haruna, Abdullahi Azeez, Ibrahim Bukar and Zula Diani.

The Attorney-General, it was learnt, had entered a nolle prosequi (Latin for "do not prosecute"wink in respect of two of the defendants, who were subsequently discharged.

Later, another 11 were also discharged in the course of the trial following another nolle prosequi by the prosecution.
Only four - the first to fourth defendants - went through a full trial.
The suspects were first charged with
conspiracy to commit terrorism, illegal
possession of firearms, and being
members of a proscribed organisation.
They allegedly committed the offences on March 21 last year, at Plot 5, Road 69, Lekki Phase I Housing Estate, and at No.
24, Oyegbeni St., Ijora-Oloye, Apapa-
Iganmu, Lagos.

They were alleged to have in their
possession three packets of explosive
construction pipes, 15 detonators, and 11 AK47 rifles with 30 rounds of live ammunitions.

PoliticsChief Olusegun Obasanjo Backs Tambuwal For Presidency In 2015. by Solutioncrib(op): 12:34am On Sep 21, 2014
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo
appears to have given his nod to the
rumoured presidential ambition of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, ahead of the 2015 election.

Tambuwal is believed to be nursing a yet-to-be -declared presidential ambition, which could see him challenge President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

The Speaker had flagged off consultations in recent months and had met leaders, including Obasanjo, and former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida.

Sources told the Our Source that
when Tambuwal visited Obasanjo at his Abeokuta Hilltop mansion recently, the former President was unequivocal in his support for the Speaker.

The former President was quoted as
saying "Tambuwal, go ahead and contest the presidency in 2015. I am behind you."

Though the Speaker's spokesman,
Mallam Imam Imam, has insisted that the Speaker is still consulting over his
ambition come 2015, the Speaker's
body language appears to be tilting
towards presidential contest on the
platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was also confirmed that the Speaker had recently consulted Babangida and former Head of State, General Abdusalami Abubakar, on the way forward in 2015.

Sources however confirmed that only
Obasanjo gave an express permit to
Tambuwal, while the two other leaders were cautious and prayerful.
Reports had indicated recently that
Tambuwal was set to declare for the 2015 election on the platform of the APC.

According to the calculations, Tambuwal is expected to benefit from the goodwill of former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, who is expected to hand over SouthWest voters to Tambuwal at the presidential primaries.

It is believed that the likes of General
Muhammadu Buhari, former Vice
President Atiku Abubakar as well as Kano state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso, would share the votes coming from the Northern states, and bloc votes coming to Tambuwal from the South-West would make him the man to beat at the primaries.

The Speaker, a member of the Peoples
Democratic Party(PDP), is however yet to announce his defection to the opposition APC.

Politics2015: Alao-akala Picks PDP N3m Nomination Form For Oyo State Guber Race. by Solutioncrib(op): 9:08pm On Sep 19, 2014
https://www.solutioncrib.com/discussion/foto/Akala-200.jpg

Former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State and an aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday collected the nomination form for the 2015 governorship election. The aspirant, who paid the mandatory N3 million fees, collected the form at the party's secretariat in Ibadan through his Committee of Friends. Razak Gbadegesin, the aspirant's former Chief of Staff, who collected the form on his behalf, said the committee picked the form because the aspirant went to Abuja for an assignment. "We are here to collect the form on his behalf and it is due to the fact that we believe in his ability to deliver when he becomes governor Oyo State", he said. Gbadegesin said there was no other person that could wrestle the position from the incumbent, Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, other than Alao-Akala. Dr. Kola Balogun, another member of the committee, said that the group believed the aspirant could represent the yearnings of the people of the state. "I want to urge PDP members in Oyo State to work hard to see Alao-Akala elected as governor of the state", he said. Responding, on behalf of the party, Mrs Kehinde Eboda, an official of the PDP, confirmed that the aspirant had fulfilled the necessary condition for the collection of form. Earlier, Kehinde Salawu, state Public Relations Officer of the party, who represented the Chairman, Olayinka Taiwo, said it had no anointed candidate. "We are going to allow a level playing ground", he assured. The number of aspirants who picked the form on the platform of the party has now increased to five. Others are Femi Babalola, Kehinde Olaosebikan, Prof. Olusoji Adejumo and Dr Gbola Adetunji.

Wayne Rooney has described former
Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, as the "best manager there's been".

Ferguson bought Rooney - who was a
teenager at the time - for £25.6 million
(€32m) from Everton in 2004.

However, the pair fell out on many
occasions, before Ferguson finally stepped down as coach last year.

"At the time, I came into the squad as a young lad and there were a few other young lads. He brought all that together and made us world club champions," Rooney told MUTV.

"I'm very grateful for everything
he's done. It was a great feeling.
"Sir Alex is the best manager there's
been and for him to recognise my talent and want me to join this club was a great honour for me.

"He drove me over [to Old Trafford], just the two of us in his car. I remember being nervous but he was great and made me feel comfortable."
Rooney, who is now United captain under Louis van Gaal, expressed his gratitude for Ferguson's insistence to buy him back then.

"He was vitally important," the England striker said.
"I 'm grateful to him for having the
faith to bring me in from Everton. I think he's an incredible person and manager, the way you see his desire for the game.

"He certainly helped me a lot and helped us all."

https://solutioncrib.com/discussion/foto/image72.jpg

The Zamfara State Government has further extended the resumption date for schools from September 22 to October 13, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of
Education, Alhaji Lawal Talata Mafara, said.

The October date had been fixed by the federal government when the Ebola Virus Disease (BVD) broke out in the country but brought it forward to September 22 after the government assessed the situation to
be under control.

Addressing journalists in Gusau, Mafara said the extension of date by the state government was the result of a stakeholders' meeting.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), he said the Ministry of Education considered the peculiarities of the state,

"More especially is the Sallah festival
which is just a week from the date."
Mafara explained that many children in primary and post-primary schools might not resume as expected and so the stakeholders agreed to move the date.
He added that the decision also affected students on exchange programmes in the state.

Health10 Simple And Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast by Solutioncrib(op): 7:50am On Sep 05, 2014
https://www.solutioncrib.com/discussion/foto/natural-ways-to-get-rid-of-acne.jpg

Pimples are a normal skin condition which affects many people. Pimples are an inflammation of the skin in which the sebaceous glands (oil glands) become infected with bacteria, swell up, and fill with pus.

Pimples generally occur on the face, neck, back and shoulders and though it is not a critical condition, it can make a person feel miserable due to their appearance.

There are various ways and methods to get rid of pimples, some are natural while others toxic (use of chemical and medicine). The natural methods are safe and not dangerous for the skin and are the best and fastest way to get rid of acne.

Also, there are some foods that must be avoided for removing acne. These foods are milk, chocolates, sweets, desserts, cakes, fat and oil. You need to eat vitamins and minerals rich foods to get rid of acne.

Below are natural methods of getting rid of pimples within a very short period.

1. Lemon Juice
By applying lemon fresh juice to your skin you can easily get rid of acne overnight.
Take 1 lemon and squeeze it in a bowl. Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice and apply it to the pimples before going to bed.
In morning, wash your face with
lukewarm water.

2. Orange Peel Rub the orange peel on the pimple for 2-3 minutes and leave it overnight.
Wash the face gently in the morning.

3. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera leaf will also help you in
removing acne. Take an aloe Vera leaf
(gel) and wash it with fresh water then apply it to acne and rub it slowly like 5 minutes.
Not only is the aloe soothing, it
works as an anti-inflammatory,
decreasing redness and swelling. It also has antibacterial properties.

4. Applying Egg White
The egg white can remove the acne
overnight. Take an egg separate the yolk of egg and take the white of egg and apply to the acne before going to bed until tomorrow.
In morning, wash the face with water and you can see that your acne become dry.

5. Honey
Honey is the best thing for acne. It kills skin bacteria. Dip a clean cotton swab in honey, put it directly on the affected area and leave it on for half an hour.
Wash the skin well with lukewarm water.

6. Cucumber
Cucumber is a rich source of potassium and vitamins such as A, C and E.
It also has a cooling and soothing effect on the skin.
Cut one or two fresh cucumbers into
pieces and soak them in water for about an hour.
The nutrients, such as vitamin A,
potassium and chlorophyll will transfer to the water. Strain the water and drink it, or use the water to wash your face.

You can also make a face mask by grinding one cucumber. Apply the mask on your face and allow it to dry for 15 minutes.
Wash your skin with warm water.

7. Banana peel
Banana peels contain something called
lutein, an extremely powerful antioxidant that reduces swelling and inflammation, and encourages healthy cell growth.
Take the banana peel and rub in a circular motion all over your face. When you feel as though you've covered all of your face, let it sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

8. Garlic
Garlic is an antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of pimples. The sulfur in garlic also promotes quick healing of pimples. Cut a fresh garlic clove into two
pieces. Rub the garlic on the pimples and leave it for five minutes before washing the skin with lukewarm water.
Repeat the treatment several times a day.

9. Baking Soda
It is the most powerful method to get rid of pimple overnight. Baking soda is a good option for all, but especially those with sensitive skin because it will not cause any
kind of skin irritation.
Make a thick paste by mixing one teaspoon of baking soda
with some water or lemon juice. Apply the paste on the affected areas and allow it to dry for a few minutes. Wash your face with warm water and apply a moisturizer.

Repeat the process twice a day for quick results.

10. Steam
Steaming is wonderful for your skin at any time, but particularly when you have pimples.
The steam will open your pores
and allow your skin to breathe. This helps get rid of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation.

Fill a large container with hot water and allow the steam to come in contact with your face for a few minutes. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and, after drying, apply an oil-free moisturizer.

Lastly, don't touch your face (more
specifically, your breakouts)
This means don't itch, scratch, pick, peel, pop, or rub at your skin. It will help the healing process go smoother and more efficiently.

Hope you found this useful.

Heavily armed fighters "attempted to
cross the bridge at Fotokol" in the
extreme north of the country and opened fire on Cameroonian soldiers, the ministry of defence told state radio.
"Cameroon defence forces energetically reacted to this assault which lasted three hours," the ministry said, adding that one soldier was wounded by mortar shrapnel.
There was no independent confirmation of the battle.

Gamboru Ngala, the Nigerian town on the other side of the bridge, fell to the Islamist extremists last week after they reportedly overran the Nigerian garrison there.
For several days people living in towns and villages in northeast Nigeria recently captured by Boko Haram have been fleeing towards Cameroon to escape the militants.

The extremists, who have waged a bloody insurgency for five years in northern Nigeria, seem to have changed tactics in recent months, going from spectacular kidnappings, massacres and suicide attacks to attempting to conquer territory.

Cameroon's Defence Ministry said that
246 Nigerian soldiers and customs
officials who had fled Gamboru Ngala into Cameroon to escape the Boko Haram offensive "have left the Fotokol area under military escort" to rejoin their units in Banki in Nigeria.

Several hundred Nigerian soldiers
abandoned border posts further to the south along the long and isolated border last week in face of the militants' advance, military sources said.

The Nigerian army denied its troops had fled into Cameroon, instead calling the retreat a "tactical manoeuvre".

PoliticsBoko Haram: FG Acquires 12 Fighter Jets by Solutioncrib(op): 6:22am On Sep 01, 2014
AS the armed forces get set for final on slaught against the Boko Haram terrorists, the latest fighter jets in the world would start arriving the country this week.

Informed top military sources disclosed to our source at the weekend that the fighter jets, up to a dozen in number, were purchased directly by the Nigerian Air Force.

The source revealed that the jets are capable of bombing in the night, adding that this would enhance the operations of the soldiers.

According to the source, modern equipment such as the Shilka guns for the army would also arrive soon, to fast-track the war against insurgency.

The source revealed that what was happening in the insurgency war was enemy within, as some disloyal troops relayed strategic information on operations to the insurgents.

It was authoritatively gathered that when an operation for bombing was being prepared, some insiders passed the information to the terrorists, a reason much impact was not being felt.
The source also added that analysis so far made on the weapons recovered from the insurgents did not show they were superior to those of the armed forces.

It was reliably gathered that most of the weapons being used by the terrorists were those collected from various police stations which were attacked by the insurgents.

Authoritative military sources said the massive arrival of equipment for the
armed forces this month would see a new phase in the war against terrorism in the country.

Areas such as Gwoza, being held by terrorists, according to the source, would soon be liberated, as more troops were now being deployed to take the insurgents head on.

EducationUNILAG CSO Sunday Adejumo Murdered In Akoka Lagos Bar by Solutioncrib(op): 5:53am On Sep 01, 2014
https://solutioncrib.com/discussion/foto/334af.jpeg

Suspected assassins have killed the Head of Operations, Security Unit, University of Lagos, Mr. Sunday Adejumo.

The 50-year-old was shot dead at a beer parlour on Oyenuga Street in the Akoka area of Lagos on Friday evening.

Our correspondent learnt that Adejumo on the fateful night was in the joint with three of his friends when some strange faces stormed the pub.

They were said to have headed straight for their target where he sat and hit him in the chest, before firing shots at him.

The gunshots were said to have caused confusion in the area.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the deceased died some minutes later because he could not get help on time.

When our correspondent visited Akoka on Saturday, he observed that the area was quiet, while the beer parlour was locked.

A resident, who did not identify himself, said the owner of the drinking house had been arrested and was being interrogated at the Bariga Police Station.

He said, “The incident happened around 8.30pm on Friday. We suddenly heard gunshots and we all rushed into our different houses because we did not know what exactly happened.

“It was later we learnt that one of those in the beer parlour was killed.

“It was not a robbery because they did not steal anything or injure anybody else. Immediately they killed him, they left.”

A source, who pleaded anonymity, told our correspondent that Adejumo might have been killed by suspected cultists.

He said, “When the gang got in, they went to where he was sitting. They had different weapons, ranging from cutlasses to guns.

“One of them went to him, hit him in the chest and he fell down. He then brought out a gun and shot him point blank.

“On the table where he was drinking with his friends were a pay slip, his ATM cards and his car key.”

Our correspondent learnt from another source that the men wanted to go away with the deceased’s ash coloured Pathfinder, marked, Lagos APP 404 CM, but could not.

“We don’t know exactly what their intention was. But there were blood stains on the car and the car key also had blood stains. We suspected they wanted to drive it away, but abandoned it when they saw it was not responding,” he said.

Another police source told PUNCH Metro that the corpse of the deceased was taken to the police station late in the night from where it was taken to the Yaba mortuary.

It was learnt that Adejomo’s car and that of one of his friends with whom he went to the pub, were taken away by the police.

Our correspondent gathered that his three friends were also being interrogated.

A source said, “Since he had been going out to drink, he had never gone out with these friends. So, they are also suspects. Although one of them claimed to be injured during the incident, there may be more to it than meets the eye.”

The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Lelma Kolle, confirmed the incident.

He added that the Bariga Divisional Police Officer led his men to the scene where they found the deceased in a pool of blood.

He said, “Investigations revealed that the man parked his car a distance away from where he was drinking. The police also discovered that there was a blood stain on the car and the car key was found within the vicinity, also with blood stains. This can only mean that after they killed him, they attempted to go away with his car. They actually succeeded in opening the car because there were blood stains on the car seat. But the car did not move because of the security system in it.

“The owner of the bar has been arrested and he has made statements. We cannot categorically say whether this was a robbery or an assassination plot. The matter is still under investigation.”

Our correspondent called UNILAG, and a former registrar of the institution, Mr. Olu Sodimu, said the school would call back.

However, an official of the university in the information department confirmed the shooting.

The official, who pleaded anonymity, said, “We heard that he went to a party with some of his friends and there were gunshots. He was one of the people hit during the incident. That was what we heard. We are not aware that he died. I am just hearing that from you and I will have to confirm that information by making calls.”

PoliticsJonathan Responsible If Ebola Cases Worsen In Nigeria, APC Tells Nigerians. by Solutioncrib(op): 1:51pm On Aug 31, 2014
https://www.solutioncrib.com/discussion/foto/lai-mohammed.jpg

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said Nigerians must hold President
Goodluck Jonathan personally
responsible if the Ebola Virus Disease
spreads more than it has done in the
country, after he failed to stop a rally in his support in Port Harcourt on Saturday, despite warning from individuals and groups.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said never before has a President of a country sabotaged his own Administration's policy and endangered the lives of his compatriots as President Jonathan has done over the issue of Ebola.

It said the same President who declared a national emergency on Ebola and advised against large gatherings to prevent the spread of the virus was the first to flout his own advice by his failure to stop the rally by the so-called Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) in Port Harcourt, a few days after the virus was detected in the city and at
a time that contact tracing was going on to find all those who may have had
contact with the medical doctor victim
of the disease.

''On the altar of political desperation,
President Jonathan put the lives of
Nigerians in danger. In order to realize
his ambition for re-election, President
Jonathan has shown he is ready to
sacrifice as many lives of Nigerians as
possible.
There goes the President's statement that his political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian. This President simply says what he doesn't mean.

''As we said in our statement of Aug.
28th 2014 calling on President Jonathan to halt the TAN rallies, especially the one in Port Harcourt, could anyone guarantee that none of those who have had contact with the medical doctor who died of the
disease will attend the rally?
That is why we are calling on Nigerians to hold the President responsible if Ebola spreads more than it has in the country,'' APC
said.

The party said shortly after it made the call for a halt to the TAN rallies, others, including the NBA and Prof. Itse Sagay, in a clearly patriotic duty, issued similar calls.
''In fact, the APC in Rivers described such a rally most appropriately as a 'firing squad against the people'.

But because he will rather be re-elected than give a damn over the safety of the same people who voted him into office, because he will rather transmogrify than transform President Jonathan ignored all the calls and allowed the rally to hold.

This is an unprecedented act of political desperation,'' it said.
APC said for those who might try to spin the issue by saying the President has no control over the organizers of the rally, they should be asked who the rallies will benefit, whose top officials, including Secretary to the Government Anyim Pius Anyim, have been attending the rallies and what is the source of the funding of the gatherings.

''The TAN rallies are government-sanc
tioned. The TAN rallies are the Jonathan Administration's cunning way of beating the INEC ban on campaigns for next year's general elections.

The TAN rallies highlight the impunity of the Jonathan Administration.
President Jonathan is the sole beneficiary.
He can stop the rallies today, if only he wants to put the nation's interest above his own personal interest,'' the party said.

SportsMaigari Arrested Over NFF Fire Outbreak —NSC by Solutioncrib(op): 12:53pm On Aug 31, 2014
The National Sports Commission says
outgoing President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, was arrested on Tuesday over the recent fire outbreak at the secretariat.

Maigari was reportedly arrested along
with General Secretary of the federation, Musa Amadu, and Chris Green by security operatives in order to stop them from presiding over the congress of the football body in Abuja.

But a statement by Patrick Omorodion, media aide to the sports minister/Chairman NSC, Tammy Danagogo, on Saturday, read, "The NSC wishes to put the record straight on the reason for the arrest of former President of the NFF, Aminu Maigari, by men of the Directorate
of State Security Services.

"It is however, on record that the former Acting President of the NFF, Mike Umeh, had immediately after the fire outbreak at the NFF secretariat in Abuja, said he suspected sabotage by 'some people who are desperate to perpetuate themselves in power and called on the police to investigate the incident.'

"The arrest of Maigari and some other
officials of the NFF by the DSS is part of its routine to investigate the fire incident and interrogate some suspects based on the report of officials of the NFF and therefore
had nothing to do with the NSC, as is
being erroneously insinuated.

"It is a fact that arson is a serious
offence in Nigeria's criminal law and
anybody who is suspected to be involved,no matter how highly placed, must be investigated to verify his or her culpability or otherwise and appropriate sanction meted to such individual."
