Franc, have you written a new poem? Please, do share!

Hi Frank, yes, I've moved from one town to another last year. About messenging, I actually prefer the forum. I try not to spend too much time online nowadays anyway.

Mhm, I changed unis and subjects. Hence, the difference I am noticing between BA and MA might have to do with any of those two. At BA level it was hard to get a 60-69 and almost impossible to get something above 69. Now, almost everybody can get the latter. Our first assignment even had an AVERAGE mark of 72! However, work load has much increased. At my old university, you wrote an essay for the end of term and/or an exam in the third term. Here, you constantly have to hand in assignments during the term, sometimes up to three in a week (while in other weeks you got none)! But it seems the BAs here also have to write graded assignments.

The Third Twin is also a great book, full of suspense and unexpected turns. I did a presentation on it during my A-levels. Just loved the book!

Hi Franc, I'm actually not so interested in Chomsky and co. but more in Emenanjo, Bamgbose, Ohiri-Aniche, Egbokhare, Adewole, Himmelmann, Mosel, Ladefoged, Williamson, Austin, Gibbon, Ostler, Levy --- and Chrystel too. How's your MA? Stressful?

Franc, I started a course in linguistics last autumn. Thanks for your offer to help. Are you a student as well? (sorry, if you mentioned it before; must have forgotten it then)

Frank, I'm still around though I'm busy at school a lot. The course I am doing is highly interesting but also demanding. Most of the time, I'm looking forward to when I will have handed in my dissertation. And in the remaining time, I worry what I will do once the course will have finished!

Hi Franc, for me it is a poem sha. Since I often don't understand poems or just tiny aspects of them, yours very much qualifies as one to me! But joke aside, I get that you are feeling blue right now. Let me tell you that life has more colours than just one and that you'll reach the bright/warm side of the palette again. Until then, we're here for you. If you wish we can cry or we can footle with you. Nilla, Macalurs, isn't that true? Franc's not allone. Dear Franc, take care! *hug*

Franc, I just saw that you are from Kogi State and I came accross that name during some research in the last few days. May I ask which language you speak (besides English)?

Franc, thanks for your gift (your beautiful good-bye poem). Merry Christmas again (to you all). I'll post the poem that I promised some time ago now.

I've been travelling too much lately --- maybe, I should add a mobile phone with Internet access to my list for Santa Claus! Anyway, merry Christmas (just in case we don't see again until then).
