Unimportant matches? You mean cup games are not important? Kog45: Yes they do rotate when it comes to unimportant matches. |

Let me burst your bubble. Wenger rotates his GK. Cech for league, Ospina for cup Pep - Ederson for league, Bravo for cup Enersto - Ste the gen for league, Cilleson for cup. Etc Alot of white coaches rotate their GKs too, yesterday was just a wrong approach in terms of tactics sir. Ajiboye's last game was a disaster, conceded 4 goals, if the coach had benched Odah using Ajiboye, what would you have said if he was the one picking the ball from the net 3 times in 15 mins? Kog45: Honestly not condemning the keeper but why white coach always stick to their number one and not care about 2nd choice performance if the number one is available.
I remember when Courtious got injury and Cech stood in with good performance but when Courtious returned,Mourinho handed him his number one position straight.
That's my point not blaming Odah for those goals i even expect Odah to move to another club to command regular shirt, watching him in NPFL invitational tournament showed that he has it. |

Was this how England, Spain, Italy etc built their league? Encouraging their best to leave just because the coaches aren't up to foreign standard? The coaches abroad, how did they become good or was it overnight? Most of the coaches doing wonders in some of the best leagues in the world are foreigners. If their home coaches were that good, foreigners won't be employed. It seems some of us just like setting different rules for the NPFL. One time, you're berating the league of poor play and standards, next moment, you want the best to leave. So pray tell, how do you want the league to improve? tbaba1234: Omoyele is good for the level, he is playing now.. You do not know how good he truly is, till he gets tested. We have seen shining lights in the NPFL unable to reproduce elsewhere.
If he is to improve and challenge himself, he has to leave. That is just the fact.
The level of coaching in the league will not help him improve himself. The quality of the league will not help him challenge himself.
I want good prospects to leave to clubs where they can achieve the height of their potentials. I want them to leave early so they can learn and relearn the basics of the game.
I can not in good conscience encourage a prospect to stay. Even if he is earning the best in Nigeria, he will not reach the heights of the game. |

I'm actually saying it the way it is, you're the one trying to bring in sentiments. I asked again, why has Rohr been using him all these while when we have always had options or are you saying we don't or didn't have LB around the world? Secondly, where is Oshaniwa that deputised him during Keshi's reign? That guy was fairly good too but went into oblivion after confederation's cup. MetalJigsaw: I am not saying he's a bad player though. But in essence he isn't among the best right now and I am sure the coache is aware of this.
And I'm really baffled the way you're being so economical with the truth.
Thank God you're not Rohr, it would have been the same old story for our dear SE team. |

And what are you presently doing to improve the league? Criticism is the easiest thing to do, providing solutions and acting on it is the hardest. Everyone can criticize but only few can make right. I wouldn't call anyone an hater, never will I when it comes to the league but will call out those who berate the league without inputs on what they have done to correct it. Icon4s: That was the same "hate" tag placed on me all through the CHAN because I don't condone nonsense football.
Some of us have come a long way in the followership of the local league. We know how it was and we know how it is now.
The league is in a sorry state.
No hate tag can stop me from saying things the way they are.
Hate my comments from here to the moon and back. |

Be fair to the coach abeg, fine he started the game with the wrong approach but he was the same person that rectified it which brought the game to a respectable 4:2. Odah was the GK while Ajiboye was away and he had alot of clean sheets, it was normal for the coach to continue with such GK who didn't give him any reason to change him. (Don't fix it if it's not broken they say). According to Tbaba, the defence exposed the GK and also the tactics, maybe Ajiboye would have been the one conceding the 3 goals just as he conceded the 4 goals against CHAN morroco and that would have soiled him more. I hope you got my points sir? Kog45: TheSuperNerd did you known why our coaches will always receiving bashing and knocks.
I don't expect any coach to drop Ezenwa or Ajiboye on the bench based on their experience with national team.
This is more reasons foreign coaches would always have an edge. They don't joke with their first choice unless on injury or card situation.
In NPFL they changed keeper like clothes, one for home the other for away,so how do we get a good keeper for national team.
Truly Odah had a great start this season but that should not give him an edge in this particular match, not blaming the young man but the coach.
Sometimes they got carried away with little show, remember how Oliseh benched Mikel for Onobi, craziness. |

Okoro is no where near the player being talked about from the CHAN eagles. Not a solid 2 nor is he the best 7 we have even though he's the best crosser of the ball I have seen of the eagles so far. gbosaa: The other player could be Kalu Orji. He was solid in defence till the disaster in the final.
Osadebamwem Okoro...decent performance, good crosses and again till the final match.
Gabriel Okechukwu.
Gk. Oladele Ajiboye
I think Ajiboye might nick it. |

And which league made him this good? So if he leaves the league, what happens to the league? You can't eat your cake and have it sir. When next you want to talk down on the league, remember the best aren't encouraged to stay behind. tbaba1234: That guy needs to develop elsewhere.
If he stays in Naija, he will not improve. He looked much better than what i saw from Okpotu and Gabriel in CHAN. |

tbaba1234: First thing, i stated: No shape, no tactics. What does that refer to? I did not even talk about the quality of the league?
You got defensive and started going down memory lane and talking about the league.. In recent times, we have been terrible in Africa. zuchyblink: 2 goals under 3 minutes. Tufiakwa we have no league The quoted was the person I was correcting and didn't even start with you until you also brought in the league. When Roma walloped Chelsea at home 3:0, people blamed Chelsea and not the FA or the whole league. That's my point. |

Tactical error from the coach then. Maybe he wanted an early goal. tbaba1234: I would have expected them to stay defensively tight for the first 15 minutes. They started too open and were punished. |
