Thank you for the response. I know I'm expected to pay the courier service. I was just wondering if there's another fee involved. It's all clear now. Grateful. Anon123: You mean passport in your possession to vfs?
Yes...
You mean passport from vfs to to the embassy? No |

Thank you, big chief. lentomac: If its Lagos VFS you did your BIOMETRICS, you are not to pay the 7k transmission fee
The only fee you are going to pay is the one for the Courier company you choose to use to send your passport to Lagos VFS either with DHL or UPS, the choice is yours
Note: Make sure you do the Two-Way Courier for your Passport |

Hi everyone, Am I required to pay any passport transmission fee to vfs office in Lagos considering that I had my biometrics there? If no, is there any other fee? Thank you. |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by SonOfaNobody(m): 8:56am On Dec 16, 2020 |
Uzomachukwu: I'll say you should submit the e-medical slip again and then follow up with emails and webforms explaining you've already done the medical. Or are they asking you to go for follow-up medical exams? Thank you. I have sent the e-medical slip through mail to the Nairobi office (I found out that's where my application is being processed) on Tuesday, December 8. From the automatic response mail, they're meant to reply within 5 working days. However, no response yet. Do you think I should continue sending mails? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by SonOfaNobody(m): 11:13pm On Dec 15, 2020 |
Uzomachukwu: Nope! Interesting. I asked because I submitted my upfront medical slip in September only to get a medical request in December. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by SonOfaNobody(m): 7:27pm On Dec 15, 2020 |
Uzomachukwu: So IRCC finally updated my medical today on GCKey (there was no email notification). A part of me already feels like I've secured my study permit & visa approval; for me, the medical was the major fear.
Applied on June 16, Upfront medical on Sept 01, Biometrics collection on Sept 08, Eligibility review and background check still ongoing August, No other update from IRCC since after biometrics was updated on Sept 8 Medical updated today — passed!
Waiting for further updates: correspondence letter and hopefully PPR! Please, did you receive a medical request even after submitting the upfront medical slip? |

Thanks for the explanation. I'm grateful. fratermathy: Do you sponsorship after your funding? NO.
Just submit your account statement if you're working. If your intention is to state that your uncle will pay your flight or accommodation fees, then let him transfer the money to your account and you'll indicate such in your SOP.
Congrats on your admission. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SonOfaNobody(m): 11:04am On Mar 18, 2020 |
Thank you thus far. Is it compulsory I submit my statement of account alongside his? Or I can just submit his alone? Blema111: You can use him as a sponsor then for your itineraries-flight and accommodation if you don’t have sufficient money for that in your account or prepare a deed of gift and have him transfer a reasonable sum to your account. The latter is more feasible. |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SonOfaNobody(m): 10:01am On Mar 18, 2020 |
Sure, I have. I'm more concerned about the sponsorship. I intend to use my uncle, do I have to include mine too? I do not have enough in it. Blema111: Why not read through the previous threads on the documents to submit and how to go about it. Then you can mention the documents you intend to personally submit and ask specific questions. |
