xxxx999jon:
it's a wrong title calling him "Oba" it's Alohu..Egun and Yoruba is as distinct as Igbo and Yoruba language..nog similar at all.
undecided are you from badagry? The Akran is an oba in your yorubaland…..Akran is just the title of the kingdom he presides over so stop confusing yourself.

Rear 100 pcs of broiler and be consistent in your turnover and same routine..you come back and thank me by July because you became a millionaire
grin this advise would be appreciated if the op as an experience or an expert who can guide him through or else he will regret venturing into it….and also most importantly he must have a ready market or off takers to buy the boilers when they reach maturity or he will have a huge loss…..over all, he needs to do a feasibility study before investing in poultry farming because it comes with huge risk but if we’ll managed it quite profitable.

Don't teach me who is oba or not.
If Oba Ooni doesn't sound proper then oba akran too don't sound normal.
I live towards Badagry axis and it doesn't sound proper.
grin you are just a clown and your argument is neither here nor there…….the road named after his predecessor in Ikeja is called oba Akran road….so do you know more than the govt officials that put the oba before his title? I will say this the last time…..the word oba is still valid because they are all Kings in yorubaland which in local language, is called oba regardless of the title or how it sound and that doesn’t still take away the fact that they are still all oba so take your confusion elsewhere undecided

The Egun are not Yoruba sub group, they have their distinct language and culture. They are found majorly in Benin republic and badagry which is a border town with Benin republic.
so are native Yorubas not also found in Benin republic? undecided we share common ancestry and the oyo empire didn’t just end on the borders of Nigeria…….read your history books and educate yourself undecided

Make it make sense

Oba Oni of Ife
Oba alake of egbaland
Oba awujale of ijebuland
Oba alaafin of Oyo
Oba oba Lagos
Oba oba of Benin
Oba Olu of Warri

undecided undecided undecided undecided
undecided you are the one confusing yourself…….they are still referred to as oba because they are all kings in yorubaland….the oba is the local word we use to describe kings in yorubaland regardless of the title…..so I still don’t understand what you are arguing about undecided

Kalulu44:
The question here is: Is Egun from Yoruba or another tribe different from Yoruba, Lagos and Nigeria entirely? Just asking
Egun is a sub group of the Yoruba just like the Awori, Egba, ijebus, ijesha etc which all have distinct dialects but all speak and understand one unified Yoruba language which is the Oyo dialects….so yes, it right to call them Yorubas and don’t forget they are also found in Benin republic just as we have indigenous yorubas there too.

Christlike01:
It is an Egun name. However, the truth is that the Egun people see themselves as a sub-group of the larger Yoruba ethnic group now. As a royal from Lagos, I can state this authoritatively—there is no one from Badagry who does not speak the Yoruba language fluently, including the late Akran. Also, there are indigenous Yoruba natives of Badagry.
you are right…..Yoruba is still the dominant language though the Egun language is still very much used to communicate amongst the locals but they all still speak and understand Yoruba.

Akran is the title. Not oba of badadry
But Akran of Badagry
he still referred to as Oba Akran because he is a king in yorubaland land while Akran is the title he hold over badagry kingdom as the paramount ruler.

the popular oba akran road in Ikeja was named after his predecessor the former oba.

Is this a Yoruba name?

May the gods rest his soul.
thats not a Yoruba name….badagry people are predominantly Egun people a sub group of the Yoruba tribe and they also have the Aworis who are also indigenous to badagry but not as much in population as the egun people.

huh One of the longest serving monarch in Nigeria……his reign brought peace and progress to the good people of badagry. Visiting badagry my paternal grandmother home town, i am always impress with the level of development badagry have experienced and I hope and pray the next Oba will follow in his footsteps……may his soul continue to rest in peace.

obi defeated both tinubu and and his son in lagos Abuja before inec began to panic tinubu is to small for obi
grin NwOSU is obi campaigning to be governor of lagos? There are 36 states plus fct and Tinubu won the majority and recorded the mandatory 25% vote across at least 24 states of the federation while your agulu packaged fraud was largely rejected in the north and Sw aside Lagos which accounted for the majority of registered voters…..why the obsession with just Lagos your yes daddy agulu package fraud won with less than 10k votes? Btw we will be waiting for him in Lagos in 2027 to come and do the magic again grin if he win one local govt in Lagos make we see wetin cause am grin

grin I like the way you ipob/ obidient minions craftily use the word “rig” as a last defence mechanism for the potential loss of your lord and saviour bitter obi grin even when it is clear to even the blind that your yes daddy Agulu packaged fraud as never and will never be a match for Tinubu……the difference is like night and day grin

NOT TO SUPPORT FAKE PRODUCTS BUT NIGERIA ITSELF IS A COUNTRY OF FAKE UNITY, IF NOT, WHY IS IT THAT THEY HAVE REFUSED TO ALLOW THOSE WHO ARE TIRED OF BEING A PART OF THIS COUNTRY NOT TO LEAVE ?
undecided tell your elected reps in the NA to sponsor a bill for referendum, that’s the right way to go about it……Azikiwe didn’t include it in the constitution, even though Awolowo and northerners asked for it inclusion. He made it a treasonable offence. So you should blame him for that undecided no president, not even your saint obi, even if he makes it to the Aso rock can grant you that without amendment of the constitution……so stop crying and ask your reps to sponsor a bill for it to be added to the Constitution, and while you at it, migrate back to your region and stop your migration to other region so the rest of us can take you clowns seriously undecided

Politics › Re: Obi Became Anti-Democratic After 2023 Election - LP Chieftain by SonOfDSoil01: 3:35pm On Jan 11
InyangO:
Those who say that Obi was incompetent should answer how an incompetent governor was able to take his state from 48 position in WAEC to first position for several years. How incompetent was he that he was able to leave money for the incoming government, which his successor openly acknowledged. He might have been very incompetent that his state was given an award of excellence by WHO. The only reason people, his Igbo brothers hate him and say all manners of evil against him is because he didn't allow them steal and he didn't steal. All those saying evil against this man are doing so because the evil people cannot speak well of a man who is not like them. If he had stolen and shared money to some power brokers, he would have been a hero but since he chose not to be a typical Nigerian then he's a villain. I am not an Igbo man but the problem with some of us Nigerians is pulling down good people, our people and sadly this pulling down is common in every sub nationality in Nigeria perhaps worse with the Igbos.
undecided who be this one? Pls read the gibberish you wrote Again and see if it makes any sense? So you call all that you listed achievements?🤣🤣🤣 no wonder you clowns are celebrating mediocrity….so student passing waec and saving money in the bank that should have been used to develop the state achievement? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 now you are even blaming some of his people for exposing his incompetence……abeg carry your hypocrisy go one side……the good news is that, he will never be president,,kiss the truth grin

undecided I guess they are just waking up to their duty…..I guess they have an office and personnel at our ports and point of entry where all this deviants that have sworn to kill Nigerians with fake drugs and substandard products bring in their goods? This are economic saboteurs just because of their greed for money, in the name of business don’t mind killing Nigeria with fake drugs and products undecided

It’s high time this government agencies take their jobs seriously and not until social media start exposing this criminals before they take action……it was really shameful and appalling to see some shameless people justify this criminality on the other thread yesterday just because of their ethnic bias and sentiment, yet this bunch of self righteous clowns will be quick to call out Tinubu and elected govt officials like they are saints just like their leader who as kept silent ever the news broke out….bunch of hypocrites undecided
