barcaboi: so punishment shd be without biases.....dats d law.....what message do u send 2 other potential politifians......dat u can forgive them?.....dats injustice.....take it and stop using sentiments. ....what is bad is bad.....when u punish a big fish, a small fish knows what he'll face if he tries it.....if anyone is guilty, let him face the music irrespective of tribe, affiliation and stuff..... was alameisegha not punished and humiliated when he was found guilty of theft? you speak as if he was not punished at all, sir, HE WAS! see, am not saying Jonathan should forgive all offenders, NO what am saying is, it is within the rule of law for him to forgive offenders especially after they have suffered to an extent for their crimes. |

hahn: Isaiah 45:7
KJV: I formed the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the lord do all this things.
NIV: I formed the light and create darkness: I bring prosperity and create disaster: I, the lord do all these thing.
NLT: I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the lord, am the one who does all these things.
ASV: I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create evil. I'm jehovah, that doeth all these thing.
So, explain that I think you need to balance these scripture. check out Ezekiel 28:15, Ezekiel 14:2-5, Leviticus 20:26, 1 john 1:5, James 1:13-15, when you balance these scriptures, you will understand that God created satan and also freewill, that is why he claims responsibility for evil, yet, God is NOT evil, NEITHER DID HE IMPUTE EVIL IN SATAN, Satan simply chose evil. also, freewill tests our faithfulness. you being around ladies and yet not being unfaithful to your spouse makes you worthy of her and earns her love right? so it is with us and God. the CHOICE of evil was there and Satan took it. mind you, taking it MEANS ignoring that which is good. its not that there is a created thing called evil, NO. absence of good IS evil |

hahn: Of course I am responsible for my actions. But the government didn't create the sins, god did. If your android phone blows up in your pocket as a result of a malfunction won't the manufacturing company take responsibility for it? ...that is, if I had a manual for the android but neglected its instructions, then its my fault, not the company's. company give manuals for complex or important devices, or don't you agree? also, God has a manual he placed in us alongside freewill. its our responsibility whatever we make of the freewill. LASTLY, freewill is not a licence to sin. Grace is not a license to commit sin and apologize later, (after all, God is gracious and merciful right?) besides, the last example you gave refers to we (now) imperfect humans, how much more a perfect being who created everything good and give it a 'manual' to remain good? |

barcaboi: right. ..why not pardon petry thieves....instead of 2 families that u agree milked d whole nation dry......beauty kwanu.... it depends. if 90% of the money stolen is recovered, then there can still be pardon. also, some people easily forgive than others, Jonathan's nature is that of one who easily forgives, same can't be said for buhari...at least for now. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Religion : Evangelism And The Fear Of Apostasy. by SonOfEl(m): 2:04pm On Oct 04, 2015 |
hahn: How can Satan chose something that doesn't exist? If god didn't create sin(he created all things, right) satan wouldn't have sinned. God is actually responsible for satan's problems.
Besides, god is both good and evil. Not so? No. anything that is NOT good, IS bad. any thing that has the absence of good, is bad. BAD means THE ABSENCE OF GOOD. God giving us the freewill to make decisions does not make him responsible for our actions, we are responsible for our own actions. for instance, in your country, when the law of the constitution highlights ALL that makes you a GOOD citizen, and you do the exact opposite, is your country responsible for YOUR action? |

hahn: That's true.
But he created sin, why then should I be punished for it? No he didn't. Satan conceived it. freewill gives one the right to chose good or bad and bear their respective consequences. just as a bleeding nose is a natural consequence of ones nose being punched, so is death the natural consequence of sin. GOD REPRESENTS ALL THAT IS GOOD, ANY CHOICE MADE OUTSIDE HIM BECOMES EVIL, AND SATAN CHOSE THE LATER. |

barcaboi: go tru ur writeups and see who diverted d issue.....and see wch makes sense because all dose u accused were pardoned by ur role model.....so who is 2 blame? one being pardoned means the person acknowledge he or he is guilty and is at the mercy of the constituted authority. governors pardon criminals every year after they must have acknowledged sincere remorse....it a norm within the law of democracy. |

hahn: This is confusing. God is supposed to be the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Are you trying to say that after givin those commandments in the old testament, he changed , realised that his commandments were too brutal and inhuman and sent his son to earth to die for sins that are still committed today?
You make it sound like god is confused No. He isn't. his actions in the old testament only shows HOW GRAVE the consequences of sin can be, so that we won't take his grace in the new testament for granted. if you don't know the how grave the weight of being guilty is, you won't appreciate the power of grace and mercy. if you don't fall sick or have life threatening diseases, you WONT REALLYVappreciate the importance of medicine. got it? |

hahn: Lol. If the old testament is irrelevant then why is it still a part of the bible? because it gives a historical and symbolic view of God's dealings with his people. the new testament means the new covenant. old testament means old covenant. Jesus came to fulfil the law by becoming the sacrifice for sins, thus ushering us into the new covenant. the old covenant allows us to see the terrible weight of sin through its consequences by the law, while the new covenant allows us to appreciate the power of mercy and grace to live above sin or anything abominable before the sight of God. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Religion : Evangelism And The Fear Of Apostasy. by SonOfEl(m): 12:58pm On Oct 04, 2015 |
OP, you are misquoting Christianity. what you read was an old testament law practiced by Judaists as recorded in the bible in the new testament, Jesus said, love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you.." (Matthew 5:44). Jesus corrected and balanced the scriptures.
so your notion of Christians killing or hating unbelievers is a LIE, Jesus our lord never commanded us to do such. we are Christians, christian means Christlike, we are followers of Christ. APOSTACY has consequences, but killing and hating those involved is OUT OF IT.
stop misrepresenting christianity....its called blackmail....STOP IT! |

Kenai: Many of you who frequently read the cacophony of political opinions expressed on Nigerian Twitter have most likely come across a certain @OgbeniDipo - a well known APC Internet Knight, Tinubu admirer and Buhari fan. Dearest Ogbeni was also part and parcel of the vocal critics of Goodluck Jonathan's administration on the microblogging site, especially on areas that involve his handling of the dreaded islamist sect, Boko Haram.
Most memorable of Ogbeni, was his outcry at the time of the Nyanya bombing which happened in 2014. In case you've forgotten, this was his tweet:
https://s12.postimg.org/ebs2qpkgd/IMG_20151003_171238.jpg In the tweet above, Mr Dipo attempted to help us understand the state of insecurity and hopelessness of the GEJ administration by emphatically making it clear to us that Nyanya was just a 15 minute drive from the Nigerian Army Post Service. In other words, Boko Haram had become so strong it could strike an area so dangerously close to a federal government facility. Well and good.
Now... fast-forward to a year and 5 months after, Jonathan has been ousted and Buhari has been crowned... and BOOM! Boko Haram strikes at the SAME Nyanya district!
And this is our dear Ogbeni Dipo's tweet:

SECONDLY, buhari could not account for spent 2.billion dollars while working with abacha, 'kwarapt' leader. THIRDLY, global oil prices fell, thus bringing about the use of reserve to cushion the effect on the economy, so what's the fuss about that? FOURTHLY, abacha family once boasted that they can not be as poor as dangote....what does that tell you? LASTLY, the debt incurred by the Jonathan administration was around 2.billion dollars, which is very low compared to the overall debt accumulated by the past adminstrations. dude, do your research well. |

"We are not moved" .Also be reminded that the former Minister for Petroleum would have been investigated but she couldn't be touched because she was shielded by Jonathan who believed that stealing wasn't corruption. this stealing-is-not-corruption mantra is a farce. Jonathan has severally debunked that line of thought you guys are towing. he was quoting one justice abdulahi who said corruption is a an ambiguous term whose usage varies, that stealing should be called stealing, not corruption. |
