Crime / Teen Brothers Allegedly Rape Their 96 Years Great-grandmother, by sonofjos(m): 5:51pm On Feb 26, 2019
26 February 2019 - 16:44
By Iavan Pijoos
Two South African teenage brothers were arrested after they allegedly raped their 96-year-old great-grandmother over an extended period, Free State police said on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson Sgt Mmako Mophiring said the alleged abuse was believed to have started in December 2018 in a township in QwaQwa, Free State.

"They approached her in an inappropriate manner and they ended up raping her. She conveyed the message to her grandchildren on how these two boys were abusing her," she said.

Mophiring said the mother of the two boys initially "didn't buy the story".

"Other children came into the picture and saw the behaviour of their mother. They brought the families together and she [the grandmother] repeatedly told the same story," he said.

The elderly woman was then taken to a local hospital.

Mophiring said the family did not inform the police about the incident and had disciplined the boys themselves. After the alleged abuse continued, the family finally opened a rape case on Sunday.

The older brother, 19, handed himself over to the family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit at the Makwane police station. He is expected to appear in the Makwane Magistrate's Court on Wednesday February 27.

His 15-year-old brother was arrested shortly after his older brother handed himself in. He appeared in court on Tuesday. His matter was postponed until next Tuesday March 5 for a formal bail application.

"The community is very angry," said Mophiring, adding that the police were expecting "most of the community members to attend the court proceedings".

Family / Thread for the Black Sheep of the Family by sonofjos(m): 6:05pm On Dec 08, 2018
Ever family has issues. One of such, are the 'black sheep' family members.
The black sheep could be any of the children, or even a parent.

In the case of my family, it's our last born. This guy is light years ahead of us all in doing wrong and tarnishing the image of the family.
He had these tendencies since childhood.
Now In his twenty something years on earth, he stole our parents money way beyond reason. He recently acquired our dad's bank account pin and freely transferred amounts to self and friends. He once broke through my ceiling and stole my money, he used razor blade and tore my sister's new clothes because of misunderstanding. He is the only one among us the children who got our parent summoned many times to school for wrong doings. He is the only one who has made our parent cry over and over again. The list goes on and on.

Punishment has done nothing to help. The guy has Koboko marks on his back and buttocks like a zeebra.
Sometimes he resolves to live right but it's like he is driven by a power to just go and commit wrong.
We all have our wrongs but this one has broken all records.

Are you a black sheep in your family?
Do you have one in your family?
Do you know one around?

Come let's talk about it.
I believe sometimes we are too hard on them. Maybe if we listen to them more or support them more, we would help them out of their destructive ways. After all, we all do bad.
And like the saying goes,
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

If indeed you are believers, then I say to you, pray, brother pray. The Lord is well able to make her reason.

Phi 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you

I tried to reach out to the mods but there was no response.

Agriculture / Snakes Under Our Rice Sheaves by sonofjos(m): 12:37pm On Nov 23, 2018
I recently bought rice reaping and threshing machines. I operate around Shendam and Ibi local governments of plateau and Taraba states. This area is infested with varieties of snakes, both harmful and non poisonous. These snakes usually take rufuge in farmlands under the sheaves because of the many cattle around. The farmers who wear nothing for protection frequently encounter such snakes under the dry rice when they pack the sheaves to the threshing machine. It's been almost two months and thank God there are no casualties.

The fans on a facebook page are calling Him a coward let down, corrupt etc. some saying he may have been bribed by Nigeria and others even calling for the guy to be stoned. The guys are really furious because they obviously expected their country to petition because of the cancelled goal

The number +233264545641 send me an sms on Tuesday with the threat that my life is in danger this 2017.
Initially i thought one of my friends has gone to Ghana and was playing a prank on me. the same number called me day before yesterday -Wednesday, a guy at the other end claimed he was General..... ( i did not really catch the name) he said no police or soldier can save me in Jos (my home town) except I pay the sum of 500,000 naira or else i will see. he told me where i lived and he had many of "his boys" around my area. He said they were calling before striking as a courtesy because one of his boys told him I was a nice guy. i told them i dont have that kind of money. the person switched off with a threat.
The guy who spoke in pidgin english called today again with further threats, it was at this point i took the matter seriously considering the fact that there has been cultist activities in my area- a few people got killed and other violence. I thought they were targeting my dad who is a politician. so together with my dad, we reported the matter to the police who told me to play along. when the criminals called again, I told them I did not want any trouble and was able to raise 200,000 naira and its in the bank. the guy told me to go and cash before he will tell me what to do.
we got the money and i later told him I had the cash and he said i should go and deposit in this account - zenith bank- collins Esio .2054555146. we went to the bank with the police and the manager confirmed that account did not exist. I told him and he gave me another account same zenith bank Chima Anyanwu 2000256771. the manager told the police the account was genuine and the address of the person who owned the account is No.19 Ali street tinubu street lagos Island, Lagos.
At this point, before we deposited the money and as the police were arranging with the bank on how to go on with the arrest, this criminal discovered I was with the police and send me an sms that we can block the account go and arrest the "innocent" victim as they are gone already. claiming they got my number from the internet adding that "men must survive".
interestingly enough, this guy even went ahead to send me another sms advising me to trust in God for protection. later on the DPO called my dad informing him that a lecturer at the university of Jos has come with the same complaint of threat with the same number.

Its a really long story with many dramas but this is just the summary
I believe these guys bought the airtel sim card at Ghana and are using roaming feature in Nigeria so as to make it difficult for police to track them.
i was in ghana about a year and half ago and discovered they sell pre-registered sim cards at togo Ghana border even within Ghana too.
My entire day was was ruined, besides the money we use settling police etc.

I am glad we solved this threat because I will not have to live my life in fear.
hope this saves someones money and time.
Please forgive the english and the way it was written.
(see the pics of the messages they sent to me below)
