Dont argue. You have Google, look it up and see if that "Turbofan" is all China buys from Russia.
Chinese Jets, AWACS, Tankers, Air defense systems, Missiles, even some satellites are all licensed Russian copy.
Even Submarines.
Like I said, continue underrating Russia, they'll continue surprising you.
You think say na today Russia start this military business?
China is still a baby militarily where Russia is. Una sabi underrate China sha😊.
It's a general Nigerian thing, by the way. We grew up believing all Chinese products to be "chinko" which translates to low quality and unreliable.
Sorry bros, have you been to, and actually spent time in China before? |

WriterrNg: China is reliant on Russia bro.
I don’t have time to explain it. Just do your research.
80% of all Chinese weapons are a licensed Russian copy. "80% of ALL Chinese weapons are a licensed Russian copy?"
😂😂.
Because China imports about 80% of its Turbofan engines from Russia alongside the technology required for its operations, now translates to ALL of Chinese weapons?
Baba, dey calm down! |

WriterrNg: You guys underrate Russia alot. Have you ever been to China? Do you know that Russian scientists and experts are presently in China helping them build next generation stuff?
Do you know that China sends their scientists to Russia to gather knowledge on many modern technologies.
Whenever you guys hear about Russia, the only thing that comes to your mind is the Soviet Union. An old dilapidated country with nothing going on for them. I urge you to visit Russia and see for yourself.
You'd be shocked to find no single difference between Orenburg or Krasnodar and Amsterdam/London. They basically look the same in architecture. Third tier cities in Russia look exactly like the top cities in America. I call them third tier due to their sparse population.
Without Russia, there would have been no BRICS awareness. Russia's aggressive de-dollarization push is why today many countries are now trading in their local currency. Why BRICS is now expanding. The
China is powerful yes but only economically. They're too docile and left with them there would not have been no alternative to SWIFT or other critical western technologies.
Militarily, China is still heavily reliant on Russia. Even in some other critical sectors.
If Russia is living in past glory then what would you say about the US & Europe? Already Dead? China is not docile, Chief.
Centuries of mass bloodshed and destruction are enough for any nation to want to primarily focus on society building and development.
Now they just want to grow so the Chinese people can live better lives in relative peace.
It would be ultimate folly on anyone's part to mistake China's calmness for weakness. Even the US itself never contemplates such assumptions.
Modified: And no Chief, China is not heavily reliant on Russia militarily. That Russia has had the stage to display military might today, shouldn't be a yardstick for you to make such an assertion. |

nairalanda1: As I have said many times, the solution is simple...raise the fees....or ask government to take a loan that may pass 10-20 billion dollars or more just to fund universities and pay world class salaries.
I mean, if government could not pay the N3 trillion naira promised in 2009, in 2012 when oil prices were at 100-130 dollars per barrel, dem go pay am now when oil prices are low.
Many of you will quote me to shout saner climes. IN saner climes, it is either high fees, or high taxes (half your salary in places like Denmark and Germany, in the latter you pay higher if you are richer)...or both (see the UK...that's why a UK citizen takes loans for university, unless you are from Scotland).
If you tell me you should not compare Nigeria to saner climes because minimum wage, then that means that you are admitting that we should keep our bad universites. Remember our budget is half of what say the UK spend on police. And our education budget is one third of what Harvard spends on itself. And we are not spending it on univertsites alone
Again in sane climes most people on minimum wage cannot afford university there. Either loans or scholarships if possible
It's funny when people come and abuse me for telling the truth. And then they go call me agbero...when I knew about this since 2013. That was when GEJ told the lecturers some cold hard truths...about university funding. You have the mindset of a brutal capitalist, and it is very disturbing to see you always displaying it with such reckless audacity! |

Pakistan is starting to behave like Israel, repeatedly provoking neighbours and violating sovereign airspaces.
If militants and terrorists are launching attacks on Pakistani border posts, shouldn't the right approach be a coordinated ground offensive against those elements, while collaborating with the governments of the countries where the said terrorists are allegedly holed up?

Obedience40: You this fellow always scribbling to trigger emotional and insultive responses from your clan!!
If Blackwater operating in Nigeria will bring the necessary change in the tide against the killings especially of Christians in the north, it will be a welcome development!! While also factoring that alot of your clan buddies also applauded the removal of French forces in some African countries with and her subsequent replacements with Russia backed private operatives.
Anyone with any atom of reasoning, who's frontal lobe isn't dysfunctional knows a paramilitary group like "blackwater" can't operate in Nigeria without approval from the Nigerian government..The Nigerian government will have to give the greenlight for any defence firm or establishment to operate in her territory
Your friends are coming to like and share your post while insulting and throwing shades at Mr Hoaxen!! Mission accomplished!!.👏👏 Brotherly, I'll respond to you with a decent measure of civility because you have proven overtime, to be capable of sound reasoning irrespective of your personal convictions.
French forces and bases were expelled in those listed Sahel countries by the respective governments because it was roundly felt that they had outlived their "imposed" presence and usefulness. You're learned enough to know the difference between a willful invitation by concerned parties and coerced presence and occupation by the foreign mercernaries, so I'll leave it at that.
Between 2013 and 2015, when Goodluck Jonathan hired mercenaries from South Africa to decimate the Boko haram scourge, we all know the group of people who went haywire, labeling it as ethnic cleansing. Again, I'll hang this point here.
However, should the current Nigerian government administration decide to hire the Blackwater corporation security outfit to eliminate bandits and terrorists, every Nigerian with good conscience has no reason to condemn the move because we've all grown tired of the terrorism in our country. But for that same group to start making insinuations about entering Nigeria to "defend Christians from genocide", you'll be very dishonest to yourself to endorse that move for whatever reason and whoever supports it, deserves a head check.
And as for you insinuating that I drop opinions to solicit reactions from "my clan"? Lol. Come on man! You can do better than this level of infantile reasoning. No be all of us dey survive on social media validation. We're not all called Gbadebo! |

Hoaxen: The funding of terrorists against Israel in Syria, Yemen, Hezbollah and Hamas is what?
Is black water in Nigeria yet? What is wrong with some of you Nigerians on this thread?
One moment you were arguing that the arrival of Blackwater mercenaries is a welcome development, someone points out the folly in your assertion and you doubled down that it's okay for them to be invited since Wagner is in some African countries, even when you know Wagner operates based on official invitations from governments of those countries. Even when that useless opinion of yours was shot down, you're now asking if Blackwater is in Nigeria already .
This is why some of us just quietly read updates here without making contributions, because you people willfully exhibit ignorance even when it's mighty obvious that your arguments hold no substance.
You're just aimlessly dancing from one unrelated statement to the other, simply because you want to hold up the argument.

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has reportedly taken in for the former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari. Another former President, Goodluck Jonathan weighed in on the matter, advising that Buhari marries Tonto Dikeh at once, given the precarious state of the issue.
It is the back and forth between Buhari's media aide and GEJ, that's forming the essence of this thread.

Abdul05: Bros, for me, the way l see kanu l believe is the same way the reminder see him too.
While concern for kanu's health is understandable..but l feel that nigerians cannot ignore the danger he poses.
Kanu is not just an individual .. As we all know him, he represents a movement that could destabilize the whole Southeast and beyond..
His influence can mobilize large groups , incite violence and threaten national security..
See bros, our government has a task to protect millions not just one person .
So taking extreme caution here is not parochial sentiment --- it is responsibility.. Nnamdi Kanu poses more danger to the Nigerian populace than the killer boko haram terrorists that the FG has been "rehabilitating and reintegrating" back into the society since 2017?
Double standards like these account for why the Igbos have consistently insisted on exiting the Nigerian template. You don't treat people like conquered animals and then begin to convulate when they protest.
There's always a limit to everything under the sun. And it will be in the interest of the FG to make sure Kanu doesn't die in custody. I don't know why some of you Nigerians find it hard to tell the truth! |
