Politics › Re: Akwa-Ibom Vs Cross River: Which Is The Most Peaceful State In Nigeria? by SonOfWords(m): 8:37pm On Aug 29, 2025
Let me give you an unbias opinion as a Cross Riverian with an Akwa Ibom paternal grandmother.

In the years Godswill Akpabio and Udom Emmanuel governed Akwa Ibom, it was significantly considered to have been more peaceful than Cross River. But the government's inability to invest in Human capital development over the last five years has culminated in the frequency of petty robberies, burglaries and theft, alongside the increase in oil bunkering activities. So lately, Cross River has slightly been more peaceful than her sister state.

But if you're considering the overall cost and quality of living between both states, Akwa Ibom has the edge due to the availability of very basic amenities like electricity, clean rural roads, portable water, affordable housing and healthcare.

So if I'm to make a long-term choice of living, I'll pick Akwa Ibom over Cross River cause I can easily bolster my personal security with access to the easy living standard Akwa Ibom currently promises.

Good thing I have apartments in both states anyway😊.

Everything is not politics. Tax evasion is a criminal offence anywhere. Most money people in this country don't pay real tax.

They gave him BOJ (best of judgement) assessment. Pay me for consultancy and I'll tell you. We joke with tax in this nation. That's why our tax to GDP ratio is one of the lowest in the world. How can you be ridding cars worth millions and living in mansions worth millions and your are paying a few hundreds of thousands as tax?
You're completely deviating from the actual point I sought to make grin. Read my message again, but this time, very slowly.

Goodvibes007:
Adeyanju even hates Tinubu. He is a PDP guy. I don't see any reason why Atiku would want to get back at Obi.

What happened was Adeyanju sued Serah on Monday. Serah, Peter Obi's now rumored side chick, called Adeyanju's wife ash××wo. Adeyanju sued and gave Serah a week to retract the comment. Instead, Obi also counter-sued Adeyanju 2 days later.

When Obi's wife was dragged, Obi did not even care until Serah got dragged grin

Because I dont understand why Obi would stoop low and be dragging with Adeyanju, who thrives on controversies if not for some issues of the heart grin
So it's no longer Aisha Yesufu that's Obi's side chick, your camp has now roped Serah Abraham into your rhetorics of lunacy grin?

If them sue your papa, shey you go fit provide evidence? No be to begin lament dey find public sympathy tomorrow o?!
Politics › Re: Dino Melaye Faces Criminal Prosecution Over Failure To Pay Personal Income Tax by SonOfWords(m): 11:31am On Aug 29, 2025
Goodlady:
That abracadabra is really worth explaining.
Are they saying someone earned N6.5m. and the tax was N230m?
Wetin dem dey talk wey no add up?
Going by the recently signed tax reform bills, annual income tax for principal amounts between 3million and 12million naira is 18%.

In other words, if we're to calculate Dino's income tax for the 2022 calendar year which the IRS itself has claimed Dino declared 6.5million as that year's earnings, he should be paying between 900K and 1m.

Now we all know politicians are all crooks and almost never disclose their actual possessions, so it's safe to assume Dino made more than that for the 2022 calendar year, which in itself is not the bone of contention here.

The curious question here is, where did the IRS dig out the over 230 million naira income tax slammed on Dino for the next 2023 calendar year? Are they implying that Dino earned 6m in 2022 and somehow magically earned over 2 billion naira in 2023? Because that's how much you need to earn to be paying over 230 million as tax for a single year.

Clearly, someone is manufacturing figures because they're trying to build a case against him grin.

He declared personal income of 6.5 million naira in 2022, but by some stroke of magic his taxes for the very next year skyrocketed to over 230 million naira, how😂?

Did he gross personal income of over a billion naira the very next year to have attracted such a humongous annual tax?

He has been extra vocal in the political space lately, so Gbajabiamila and Wike have opened his book of retribution😭.

grin

When the Nigerian government begins to do media trial of "supposed criminals", it is primarily for the purpose of hoodwinking Nigerians.

They'll keep flying to the press, while adjourning the case until the public loses interest, then quietly release the criminals back to their homes because the government itself is complicit in these Benue killings.

They're only doing this skelewu dance because the Yelwata killings attracted more global attention than they expected.

Every sane person knows Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa states are currently being attacked because someone wants to deplete our National food supply, just so they can craftily introduce GMO seeds.

Make DSS getawt!

🇺🇸🇺🇦 US State Department approved the sale of aviation munitions to Ukraine worth $825 million.

According to information from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), part of the Pentagon, the Ukrainian side submitted a request to purchase up to 3,350 long-range precision missiles and the same number of navigation systems. The proposed supply package will also include related materials.

The agency stated that these supplies "are intended to enhance Ukraine's ability to counter current and future threats, provide self-defense, and carry out regional security tasks," while emphasizing that they "will not lead to a change in the fundamental military balance in the region." It is noted that funding is planned to be provided by Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, as well as through the US Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program.
When the US is done using the ephemeral phool Zelensky to further their greedy course, even the next five generations of unborn Ukrainians will be labouring under the stoopid debt from this unnecessary war.
