There's a lot of cheap TVs there that boast of the same quality as the ones sold here at significantly higher prices, and I'm tempted to buy a replacement from there.

Same here, I just count my loss and move on. And I had planned those were going to be my last orders on AliExpress, before I stopped using their service

Sadly some of us are considering this now, Ali no longer a faithful friend

Blame is also the Government because Ali won't take strict and harsh judgment on Nigeria shoppers with this tragic refund method

had similar issues about 5 refunds since November last year got refunded for some later bank claimed I wasn't charged, went to Ali they collected my bank details later got an email from the escalated team to go to my bank I requested for the ARN they said it was just a system issue that I should go to my bank

Its 3 months now uba credited me some while others are pending or no update yet

Uba refund process is a mess 😳

It's not only uba both zenith

As it is now do not buy items on Ali that will get you refunded

Safest Bank right now is Opay or your Bank dollar card

not just Naira cards. Some of my refunds failed and AliExpress has been denying me my refubds, saying they didn't charge me for the order. Even the ones that were successfully refubded, no arn to process it with my bank since Dec.

Paying in usd is the best, but it requires you to have a usd visa or master card which isn't as easy to get as visa and master card naira debit cards

Omo henceforth i will be using opay on AliExpress to see how it perform, high rate is better than having your money disappeared without nobody to hold em shirt.
The annoying part is even the coupon they gave me doesn't work, i tried to use it to purchase for someone it didn't work. Omo at this point i have accepted that this money is gone.

Do you know how to apply for "APPEAL" ?
If you can do it, just go to the order and click the refund info go down you'll see the apeal if am accurate enough.

Something isn't right man, usually it's not advisable to cancel your order because you will get a coupon+refunded amount back to your bank if seller failed to ship it on time.

Also Something some folks haven't know in AliExpress bank to bank transaction is if your bank converts your money(naira master card) to AliExpress they might give their own said conversion to AliExpress and sometimes seller won't find the amount comfortable most especially if your bank refuse to accept that amount refund to them the bank.

Example is Zenith Bank it's a very terrible experience with them they can even add minus to your account balance deducting their money (profit) if their's a refund(very complicated)

The most efficient and safest way to get no money issues on order transactions is to use OPAY.
They offer same day refund and discounts on final amount upon clicking order payment

N/B: their conversion rate slightly higher than normal banks but very safe

Omo i bought wavlink outdoor access points, seller refused to ship for almost 2weeks, i cancelled the order and normally automatic refund started processing,after some days refund status changed to failed, since that day i have being struggling to get my refund. Even after chatting with AliExpress Customer agent when they offered coupon refund i rejected it and told them i need my money to my bank account. They told me my refund has been processed and it will take 1 to 10 business days. All of a sudden i received a mail from them saying they have issued me coupon. I have complained to them ,they said the issue has been escalated and i should wait 3-20 days to see the refund, but i will keep disturbing them every 3days.

Likely Nipost, they could charge you 1k to 2k base on weight, if EMS you'll be paying up to 50k

It's EMS crafty nature, they'll eventually start opening room for Negotiations when you refuse to take your item.
