I love the miracle stories recorded in the Bible, both in the new and old testaments. However,my best miracle story is the story recorded in the 3rd book of the Acts of the Apostles. In this story, shortly after the death and resurrection of Jesus,Peter and John went to the temple to pray aroun 3.00pm.A man, lame from his mother's womb was placed at one o the gates of the temple called beautiful.Seeing Peter and John,he looked at them hoping to receive money. However,Peter, full of the Holy Spirrit made the now famous short speech"Silver and gold I have none".Then, exercising faith on behalf of this man,he grabbed his arm and pulled him up,and the lame man started walking and leaping and praising God!All the people were filed with wonder and amazement because they knew this guy! I love this story soooo much because God honoured thief faith even when the lame man was not expecting to be healed. Our God sure is a wonder worker! |

I was born and raised an Anglican too.Though,I presently attend a Pentecostal church,I am still an Anglican at heart.I still attend my old church, that is,my parents church once in a while and I keep on loving it.Today,we have several vibrant and spirit filled Anglican churches where the undiluted word of God is preached and God visits and resides with his people there. |
I love the book of psalms very much cos I find strength, succor and encouragaement in them.Nowadays,I am getting to love Psalm 145 vey much.It talks about the awesomeness and might of our great God! |
@deluxecad I think that your lady friend who enjoys being slapped once in a while grew up in an abusive enviroment.Guess her pop beat her mom frequently,so the poor lady grew up in such a perverted home enviroment and is clueless how a man and a woman can settle conflicts amicably without resulting to violence.Pity, but pleas tell her she can have a beetter life devoid of domestic violence! |
Who says Oprah is a wannabe?OH ME GOSH!She is arguably the most powerful woman in the world!and that is not talking of my head!go check the statistics! |
He Did, He Can, He Will - Martin Luther , . The God that stopped the sun on high And sent the manna from the sky Laid flat the walls of Jericho And put to flight all Israel's foe Why can't He answer prayer today And drive each stormy cloud away? Who turned the water into wine And healed a helpless cripple's spine Commanded tempest, "Peace be still" And hungry multitudes did fill. His power is just the same today So why not labour, watch and pray? He conquered in the lion’s den And brought Lazarus back alive again He heard Elijah's cry for rain And freed the sufferers from their pain If He would do those wonders then Let's prove our mighty God again! Why can't the God who raised the dead And gave little David, Goliath’s head Who cast out the demons with a word And sees the fall of one wee bird Do signs and miracles today In that same good old-fashioned way? He can, He's just the same today! He will answer your prayers! |

Love is important but it is definitely not all in marriage.Actually,I have seen quite a number of people who were not in love when they got married,eg arranged marriages, wives posted to the UK and US ,and the marriages are working pretty fine.I beleive commitment, trust, respect and maturity of two people in a marriage relationship will make the marriage work even if both are not in love. |
Up OBAMA,up MARTIN LUTHER KING jnr,up ROSA PARKS and all oter American civil rights leaders who didnt live to see this day. |

i overheared some ladies discussing an event in thier university where a young man accused three ladies of raping him.the man said the ladies forced him to have sex with them one after the other and he had to do it because he was afraid and he didnt want to die because he had a gun pointed at his head.after the ordeal,he reported the case to the police. So,i began to wonder if it is possible for a woman to rape a man?according to elementary biology, sexual intercourse can only take place when there is an erection of the penis and this is brought about by sexual excitement.the guy in question was afraid and was not attracted to any of the girls.infact,he despised them.can he,or any man force a 'hard on'? |
hi house.my closest friend is in love with a father of 3 children.his wife died 4 years ago.he has asked her to marry him but she has asked for some time to think about it.she is sceptical about having step children and having to deal with the late womans family.Though she loves him,she is scared shitless.she is in her thirties, and has never been married.should she wait for a single guy or marry this guy?what do you think? |
