I seriously agree with u let's say 93%. In my place far north, there are so many Igbo's there, who were born and bred. They even behave more like Hausa's sef. Its just when they mention their name, that's wen u know they are Igbo's. I had this Igbo friend then, I.k. I just love their family. This guy look Hausa finish, dress like den, speak d language sef. When boko haram started their carnage in borno, their family refused to leave o. Saying they rather die than run away. Unlike one tribe like dat , na dem full luxurious buses, going to d west. among the three major tribes, Igbo's are d most hardworking. I respect and envy them for that. Unlike my fellow Hausa's. We are the laziest. We no like work, except to beg and wait for government allocation.[quote author=legendte post=53129992]Well I appreciate your advice on putting our house in order but I would like to point out another stereotype from your assertions. Igbos have regards for constituted authorities and I would like you to prove me wrong with facts. The kingship has been a tool of governance in Igboland till date. We elect people to lead in every corner of the world we find ourselves. That is why you hear things like Eze ndigbo in Lagos, Texas etc. Under Ojukwu's command, we fouqght the war to show you our level of fellowship. The peaceful demonstration of Nnamdi Kanu's arrest proved most people wrong. Some were saying that we can't close shops for protest. We still have governors that we only unseat by democratic process. Why do you think that this would change if we are to govern ourselves? An average Igbo man only hates any form of intimidation no matter where it is coming from. Now on your example of a student contesting in the east, I have a question for you. How many tribes have followed the Igbos in national integration by living in every corner of the country. I tell people that we act more Nigerian than any other tribe. We go to the west, live peacefully and build mansions there which is actually robbing us of economic growth in our region. How many yorubas have houses in Igboland. The stereotype has made them to believe that we are bad. Have you heard that Igbos killed a yoruba man before? Just look at Lagos for example and see how we have contributed to the growth of the state. I had a yoruba friend while I was in the university. He was even getting more love than majority of us. We are not violent in nature but we are always bold in fighting off any form of deliberate attack on us. |
Mine too is quite similar. Even at my office sef, one of my Yoruba colleague was eyeing a girl that is(still) tripping for me. He added her on Facebook. This guy is married fa. He was telling her say me I be junior staff(which is a lie) and him be senior. He will spoil her better Dan me. Told her hes not married, etc. This life ehn.. LecciGucci: |
You didnt specify, if Na modem, phone or mifi device u subscribe am put. |
I no get problem with any tribe. We are all one Nigeria. But sincerely, I feel more safe, if im away, and my gf is at home, with my igbo friend, than a yoruba friend. I honestly dont have yoruba frnds sef. I see most peeps say igbos always feel as if they re d wisest. That's a lie. Its yorubas that always feel that way, which they arent. One time in skool, I had a yoruba frnd. He was quite close to a girl I was admiring. I told him to do the connect, which he did. Along d line, he started feeling jealous. Lng story short, he ended up snatching d girl from me. D girl is also yoruba. And other several betrayals ive gotten from yoruba FRIENDS. If u see a yoruba guy ND girl, calling their selves names like AUNTY MI, BRODA MI, SISTER MI, UNCLE MI, etc. If u do a background check, they re nacking each other. moral of the whole story, NEVER EnTRUST YOUR YORUBA FRIEND WITH UR GF ![]() |
That one is different, im being realistic. afterall, the op didnt write they were coming from the places u mentioned. I bliv our parents sent us to skool to study.. And im quite sure the driver was drunk. Im sure d parents would be thinking their kids are in skool, only to hear they died in ibadan, worse still, from a party.. If this kind thing happen to ur close relative, (God forbid)u go understand.. Odani: |
Why you crying more than the bereaved? Did d article say she was going to church? Parents will put kids in skool to read and learn, na party dey go use am attend. Go to places and see small university kids in d hospital cos of drunk driving. Some will even die. Putting parents in anguish. Post ur own RIP and gerrout too. Bash10: |
stay in skool and read ur books, NO.. ![]() ur parents didnt send u to skool, to start attending parties.. just like one girl in my area thst told her elder broda she was going for vigil. as d broda allowed her, she go her frnd house, change from church cloth to party cloth. they had an accident. she follow die.. RIP sha. |
this one don enter one chance?? but the girl set sha ![]() |
world is coming to an end.. time to leave this earth.. ![]() |

Well, I was not there when it all happened. Let me not go and say what I have no knowledge about . |
Abeg, who get the soundtrack to TALES BY MOONLIGHT? I really need it. Thanks. Ishilove, pls point me to d right direction. |
It is easier, for a camel to pass thru the eye of a needle, than for an Igbo man to become the president, in this our present generation . Who wan vote am? The Hausa's or yoruba? Except we all change our mindset, and embrace ONE NIGERIA, remove selfish interest, nepotism, etc else, this country no go move anywhere. I prefer peter Obi tho. If him contest, I go vote am . heard he really tried for anambra. |
I've been in this country since birth, and I'm just hearing this news. Let me go and read more about it online, since the op didn't give us d full gist. The only one I know obj did was when he sent soldiers to clear out a village like that in Benue. But this odi own is new.. |
