Family › Re: Why Some Husbands Slowly Shut Down Emotionally. by Sormeh: 11:17am On Dec 28, 2025 |
Kobojunkie: Nonsense! Why should it be the wife's responsibility to police a grown- arsed man's emotions for him? If a man emotionally disconnects from his marriage, it should be his responsibility to detect and immediately correct himself.
Abeg normalize divorce and stop pretending men are adult children women need to take care of in marriage...the same marriage these men are supposedly leaders/heads of. No wonder sex goes out the door after a while with women eventually realizing their husbands are no different from their own children in that they too need raising.😩😩😩😩
Normalize divorce make women freely exit such relationships. A grown man still unable to do the basic inner work required of all adult humans needs a mother and not a wife and no woman's child should be burdened with such nonsense. 😩😩😩 Lols. Are you a man? If yes, are you married and for how long? |

The decision to implement a full CBT was obviously ill-timed and hastily done. They knew they were heading for massive disaster if they had continued with the decision. Even by 2027, a large percentage of candidates will still not be adequately prepared. Where are the facilities in our schools? |

FreeStuffsNG: Smh.
It's obvious that you have not had case in court before or got involved in land matters litigation.
That is bad PR to the retired officer. He could actually land in bigger problems ,even arrested and prosecuted.
The Minister represents the President. If he takes on the Minister then he is taking on the President and that's bad for him.
Interestingly, the retired officer wouldn't send his own son on such errand and when he was a young officer, he wasn't having a shouting match publicly with constituted authorities or behaving the way the young officer behaved to the Minister. If he was behaving like that he would not get to the pinnacle of his career.
FG will investigate the appropriateness or otherwise of a serving or retired senior military officer to give order to a junior officer to restrain a Minister on his lawful duty from performing his duty. That will be visited to ensure that such disgraceful scene never happens again.
That Junior Officer should have known the limits of his discretion and just kept quiet after saying he was obeying order which has now turned out to be an order given by a retired military officer.
So if tomorrow, retired or serving officers tell him to slap a government official, he will do it niyen.
It was the President he was challenging by placing the 'order ' above the authority of the president delegated to the Minister.
Whatever incentive he got or was promised by the retired Senior Officer for him to behave in that manner must be investigated too. Haba!
It is completely unacceptable that the Minister was prevented from performing his lawful duty by a junior officer acting on the order of a retired military officer. Everyone including the junior officer and the retired Senior naval officer should by now have been rounded up and quizzed if it's not already done.
That video is a very sad event that embarrasses the President and the nation. You are the only person that I've come across so far, that has spoken with full intelligence and real understanding on this matter. It's just unfortunate how majority of Nigerians reason as evident from the comments so far. |

Nairaland General › Re: Help!! Is My Inverter Running Normally At This Capacity? (PHOTOS) by Sormeh: 10:04pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
TenQ: 1. Too bad, you bought a TOY 2. Sellers of Inverters will sweet talk you into bad purchases Let me break it down for you 1. Your One Panel 18V 30W: Means that if the efficiency is 100%, as long as the sun is up, the maximum load it can carry is 30W between 9am and 5pm (8 Hours) If there is no NEPA (Mains Electricity), it means you can use 60W of power for 4 Hours OR 120W for 2 Hours 2. Your battery capacity of12V 12AH Lead-acid battery Mean that at full capacity, it can store at 100% efficiency 144W of Energy it means that at best you can use up to 144W of Energy for 1 Hour OR 72W of Energy for 2Hours 3. Your Inverter of 220V 150W. Mean that at 100% Efficiency, you cannot plug loads up to 150W without blowing up the inverter. This is the maximum power you can draw from it if your battery capacity will allow it.
Now, you are driving it with a load of 95W OX fan Laptop at 65W
Let me shock you that the efficiencies of solar panel that is properly optimised is less that 50% from the rating Your Battery can have 80% Efficiency only when brand new, as you use it (especially when overloading it) the efficiency can drop to 40%
So, don't use your inverter for your fan or laptop, restrict it to giving you lights at night. Don't even bother augmenting with extra panels or batteries because it will still waste your money
Recommendation: Even though costly 1. Two Deep cycle Batteries of at least 200AH capacity 2. Three to Four Solar panels 3. Charge controllers rated for the four panels with a power not less that 1200W 4. Inverter (Sine Wave) of at least 1500W (Much higher is better) Less is a waste of investment

As far I'm concerned, there's no logic in a company leaving a country where your products hold healthy comparative advantage and are hugely sought-after among the residents. This thing is not rocket science to decipher that exiting such place is not primarily hinged on purported unfavorable government policies, there's more to it. |

Omowale2023: Your assertions are very wrong. 1+1=2 2-0=2 We must not all follow the same thing and expect a different result. The world knows its time for the south, PDP removed themselves from the equation long before the main elections started. There's no way the south would vote for Atiku even if Obi wasn't in the picture. So your assertions are mere fallacies which holds no water. Obi won Lagos without a structure and Atiku with all the "structure(s)" couldn't even get 10% of the total votes cast in Lagos. So whose fault is that? Atiku or Atiku. I leave that for you to answer. Can you guys please engage in constructive discourse devoid of sentiments? I mean address real issues. |

dahmie2013: Even if they conduct the elections in heaven, Obi will still lose. Conduct the election 1million times, Obi will lose 1milliion times. Just like Atiku mentioned, you need votes from everywhere to win an election. Are most of our youths actually mentally lazy to decipher striking reality from sheer delusion or are they intentionally acting fool!sh? I don't get. The truth is, Obi lacks virtually all the ingredients required to (1) win an election of this magnitude (2) run a government of national unity (3) lead the country out of the present economic quagmire At least his glaring dispositions and antecedents lend credence to these facts. |

Politics › Reasons Obi Lost The 2023 Presidential Election by Sormeh(op): 7:05pm On Mar 02, 2023 |
The Seat of Nigeria's presidency is one of the most keenly contested positions in the world. Ambition for such an office requires a lot -- long time planning, strategic alignment and realignment, calculations, north-south consideration and leanings, etc all of which could require more than 10 years.
Peter Obi started his really active presidential scheming six months before the elections which I believe is too hasty and too late. His candidacy is more like a "trend" which is rather an "unplanned" sudden phenomenon that preys on emotions of the gullible. It primarily seeks to exploit the seeming ethno-religious polarity being experienced across the land.
Similarly, rather than build an organic fan base with "real" purpose and substance, Obi-Datti movement maliciously tries to ride on the crest of the aftermath of the fallout of "EndSARS".
As a "sensationalised trend" that Peter Obi's candidacy has been, "Obidient" movement effectively drove the campaign harping on the power of visual graphics and all social media tools possible to hoax and promote his candidature among the young people who do not often think for themselves but are easily driven by any social media trend for that matter. For anyone who tried to reason at all, Obidients never disappointed in using the other tools including coercion, cyber-bullying, curses, intimidation, death-wishes, etc. (This particular reason is why I backed off. If something is really good, you don't have to force it down my throat).
Peter Obi lost because he didn't do his due diligence. He only wanted to get to power riding on the sentiments of ethnicity, religion, and youths' anger with the government.
Peter Obi is a "trend". It is a mere momentary sensation; a mirage. It is unreal. It fizzled out the way other social media trends do.
