Hello NL Family,
Good to see this thread is still as rich as it was when I joined a while ago. I’m a product of the information on this thread(I shared my transcript at some point)
Many Thanks to all who have stayed on to answer questions day and night and who have kept this thread going.
I’ll try to keep an eye on this too and contribute my quota to the upcomings.

To all who are aspiring- Never give up
To all who have failed like I did- Never give up.

Hi Nairaland Family, good to see this thread still thriving.
I have missed being here day & night reading through the countless pages as they came up.
I shared my testimony in Part 14...got carried away with school and all the hassles involved in being here.
I'd like to give back somehow to this platform, as it benefited me in 2018.
Almost rounding up my MBA @ Calstate.
I'd readily answer questions unless I'm occupied, but I'll try to catch up!
I wish everyone success in this thread..
God bless @ Lagosismyhome, Justwise, Walspring, and all others that have continued to make this thread successful.

I tapped into someone else's testimony at the beginning of Pt 14 of this wonderful thread. I learnt so much from this family. I eventually shared my testimony in August 2018. Can't believe I've been in America for 3months already...almost done with my first Quarter even.I've answered a few people, please dont stop asking questions here if you need clarity.
I'm sharing this just to encourage you guys....keep the faith and don't stop pursuing your dreams.

To all F1 visa hopefuls, here is my transcript, if i can make it...then anyone determined enough can make it.

I had my visa interview on Aug 28th 2018 at the Abuja Consulate.

A little bit of my background....I'm married and also a mother of 3, i work in a private Company here in Nigeria. I started this journey in 2016 from Part 12/13 and now part 14 God decided to settle me finally...along the way i was denied first for B1/B2 in 2016, scammed of some substantial amount in March 2018, denied Canadian Study visa in May 2018....went through 3 different agents all to no avail.....this time around i decided enough is enough i must do it myself. So from the admissions processing to the end of this F1 study visa application i did by myself. So i know first hand what its like to Fail, and yet i never stopped pursuing my dream of studying abroad.

Before going in finally for my interview...i went into the bathroom, and gave myself a perp talk...and also asked the Holy Spirit to take over.

I was on the queue and while waiting I noticed pink papers flying around....i refused to be fazed by the rejections around.i was interviewed by the man in window 9.

V.O: hi goodmorning (a small smile)
Me: good morning

V.O: passport and I20
Me: handed it over

V.O: i see you've chosen the California State University San Bernardino..why this school?
Me: I chose Calstate SB because they have one of the best business management programs in the world, according to US News and World report from 2014 till date.

V.O: He looked at my i20 and said whats the relationship btw business management and information technology(thats whats stated in my i20).
Me: i said yea ...(smiling) My course is not fully captured in the i20, im going to be studying an MBA with a concentration in Business Intelligence and Information Technology.

V.O: How many schools did you apply to?
Me: 2 schools...i mentioned them, University of Massachusetts Lowel and CSUSB.

V.O: oh, I see, Why Calstate SB ( for the 2nd time)
Me: Actually i was drawn to CSUSB because of the course Business Intelligence and Information Technology, the course objectives particularly gives me all i need.

V.O: while typing his attention was drawn to something...next he turned to me and asked have you ever applied to any other schools in anyother country?
Me: i said yes..i applied to the University of Guleph in Ridge Town, Ontario CA.

V.O: (He tried to play a fast one on me here by asking) University of Guleph is in Waterloo right?
Me: The name sounded off...i said no, not at all...University of Guleph is in Ridge Town Ontario CA.
V.O : Oh i remember now.

V.O: why are you going for your Masters?
Me: I've been offered a conditional promotion in my Company as a business development Mgr for surpassing my monthly and quarterly targets successively, one of the requirements for this offer is i must have a masters degree.

V.O: if you had an opportunity to study in any other Country...will you take the Offer?
Me: i said no...not with this course I'd be doing..the course offers me all i need.

V.O: what do you do for a living?
Me: I work in xyz as a Senior Business Executive in the Business Development Unit.

V.O: So what do you do for your Company when you resume work every morning?
Me: i develop business...I'm tasked with sourcing for new clients, ensuring that xyz's products are evenly distributed in our local markets here.

V.O: May i see your bank statement?
Me: i passed them over

V.O: how will you fund your program?
me: first i said my husband and i earn monthly and then I'd still be earning 50% of my monthly take home because of the conditional promotion from my Company, I'm also a director for a local production outfit here in Nigeria and then my husband and uncle will also support me fully.
VO was perusing my bank statements at this time.

V.O: i see a lodgement from xyz company
Me: Oh yes..that's my company, Im a director in that Company.

V.O: (He was now on my sponsors statement) why is this person willing to give you this amount of money?
me: I said he's my uncle,he's actually my dads only brother and he does alot for me from time to time

V.O: I will need to verify this statements, i hope you know if found to be false, youll be banned for 10years.
Me: i said Im aware..go ahead
He asked me this 3times
if it checks out, you will have your visa (photocopied my 120)
Me: Thats fine.

N.B
All this happened within ten minutes or so in the most cordial mood possible, my composure was 199%, i answered all the questions looking into his eyeballs. I was also very well dressed.

Exactly One week after I collected my pp.

It has been a very busy period for me.

I took time preparing my application. I was over prepared.

Tips: Fund your account, be truthful, look and act responsible and then pray, pray, dont stop praying.

I want to thank each and everyone that posted his/her transcripts, it helped me a lot.To all that did mock with me,my God reward you.

Referring to someone in this manner is wrong....even if you're trying to correct the person. Lets be civil pls

Stop thinking like a fish bro, this thread is meant for us all to make meaningful contributions and ask questions,
if you don't have response to people's question, why can you just keep shut and save your data

This looks bad.....
But try applying again...this time if the issue comes up try to give them strong reasons to prove your case.

steinmajor:
Hello house! Please I need help from those who have been through what I'm experiencing at the moment. My interview was on July 25th in Abj. I was placed on Administrative Processing for nearly two weeks and when I checked the CEAC site on the 6th of August I saw 'Refused'. I felt really bad, can't lie about that but I didn't know the scary part was incoming. I went to pick up my passport and besides the pink paper, there was this white paper attached and there was one part where "Fake bank documents" was handwritten. My uncle who's also my sponsor kept assuring me that the statement of account was legit even though I asked him twice before I was refused. I can swear anyday, anytime that I had no idea the statement wasn't legit. Throughout my school days I no even get mind carry expo enter exam hall not to talk of presenting an altered statement of account to the US embassy that is thorough. I don't have one fraudulent bone in me. The problem is I don't know if I have been banned cos the VO warned me I'd be banned if the statement isn't authentic. Please what do I do now? I'm so confused and in a very bad place right now. The US embassy is not a place you can walk in to iron issues out. I sent a mail several days ago and still no reply. Some people are encouraging me not to wait too long before trying again so I wouldn't look guilty (with a different sponsor tho). Others think I should just give it time before trying again so I don't look suspicious when I bring two different statement of accounts from different sponsors within a short period of time. Please anybody with an idea should feel free to chip in. If you have been through something similar and you don't want to say anything here, please email me. I feel lost right now. PLEASE HOUSE, HELP.

Why apply to two departments in the same school??
Will that not also limit your chances?

Macaulay10:
1) will I pay separate applicantion fee when applying to two different department in a school?

2)Also, will I send two separate transcripts to different departments in the school? Or they can just check their archive and make use of just one i will be sending.

After perusing the documents and typing

Vo: I will hold on to this document for confirmation, if found false you and your uncle would be banned for 10 years, do you still want to submit it

The airport pickup is actually the least of my problems. I'd be missing my flight from JFK to Detroit, and the money is non-refundable. Also, spending 28hours in a lounge in Cassablanca is not even something I want to think about now.

Is there really nothing that can be done? Like get them to put one on an earlier flight? I've sent them a mail but no reply yet.

If I'm to ask
What has being married got to do with Applicants not receiving their visa approval.
State the reasons for this your statement, and please be very certain about your information so you dont mislead others.

Dolorsa:
I hope you are not married cos from my observation, they have declared war on married people.
