Okay firstly I'd like to express my dismay at the poor diction and obvious lack of requisite knowledge Nigerian commentators portray in our NPFL matches and international matches vs other countries.

And secondly why are Nigerian commentators always expressing their support for the Nigerian side? what happened to just giving a fair commentary like it's done in foreign matches i watch on t.v?? you hear statements like "our" boys are playing well.

This lackluster unprofessional show of mediocrity did not start today but the commentator for today's match vs Egypt was very annoying, i mean it irked me so bad i had to volume down the t.v. but on a second thought i felt i should listen and laugh at his dumbfoundness.

As i kept watching the match, i wasn't satisfied with just listening and laughing so i started documenting (yep it was that bad).

So for those of you that didn't watch the match and those that were too angered to listen to the commentary, here are the one's i picked. Enjoy!

*The game is looking 3 points for the super eagles...really??
*Ogene Caro slide the Egypt number 11 and the ref says play on so If he likes he can lie down for the rest of the game....isn't this partial and rude to the opponent??
* As the captain of the side he would get up....(he said this when Mikel was fouled)... so only captains can get back to their feet after being fouled??
* A kick and a yellow card to....to...(trying to check for the players name but probably didn't find it)...to...(then he realised he could just say the country's name)...to Egypt
*Ogene trying to find his man...As it is this time or that time it did not work...
* As it is now the Egyptians would be satisfied going home conceding all 3 points to the super eagles...who told him that??
* He didn't need to do that a goal would still give us 3 points...showing preference and disrespecting the opponent again (this happened when an Egyptian defender cleared out Moses' golden chance to double the lead)
* We have 3mins to play and if you do 3min by 60 seconds we have 180seconds...the eagles should not slip up...d eagles should not slip up...oh! the Egyptians have equalized!

So there you have it, our joker of a commentator. Add up the one's i missed

sir, please, i don't mean to rubbish ur work but i am kind of confused here. Do not u think u shouldn't have used the apostrophe sign in ur ONES? Lyk, i am of the opinion dat u shud have typed thus; d 'ONES' i missed instead of d 'ONE's' i missed

saddening! whosoeva behind dis low results dat has been fittering in since d start of dis exam wil knw no peace. i dare jamb to cum out clean. lot of negligence in d system. so many results needs thorough scrutiny. rectify d system nw, else, peace wil continue to elude u.

It saddens nd baffles one hw a university student(self acclaimed though) could confidently argue dat op's headin is nt correct. O.p is very much correct.. Kudos. I'm nt surprised. It takes REAL student to knw the rule(s) guiding that word-'high time'. So, mr i'll b graduatin next year, i knw ur pomposity wont let u admit ur naivity nd unwariness. MY BITTER EXPERIENCE WITH JAMB YESTERDAY

I happened to write Jamb yesterday in a school named Felicia and Barnabas School,Along Owerri-Aba Road, Ngor Okpala LGA, Imo State.
The exam which was scheduled to kick off by 11am, was first of all delayed due to substandard and un-inspected Desktop systems they had in this center. Also annoying was the fact that their snail-slow server refused to log us on till around 2pm when we finally did.

After some minutes of answering, the server auto-logged everyone out such that they had to ask us to leave the hall briefly. Later on, they asked that a group from numbers 1-100 should go and continue while the rest waited.

Their systems kept giving us issues and so did their servers that no one could answer for a successful 10-20 m so this continued till around 6:30 when the generator set shut itself down leaving people like myself with about 1:25hour remaining of my time and some others whose own systems have not displayed their questions nor their time till that moment.

The Gen set was serviced and underwent repairs for about 2hrs and then around 8:30pm the 2nd set were asked to go in while the 1st, not yet concluded should wait, but after some minutes of confusion we, the 1st set had to go and join them.

The servers came up with its issues and troubled for quite some minutes till around some minutes after 9pm when everyone was forcefully asked to conclude as we were all automatically logged off by the admin on the server room.

I share this experience because i know its going to affect our results and performances and a such beckon on all who have louder voices to help us get this issues to JAMB officials to consider our plight.

It was really nothing to write home about. In fact, I plead that CBT should be re-organized or scrapped.

I am actually havin a hard time on which of the numerous plays, poems nd prose to read for the 2016 ongoing jamb. As it is customary, they do use a play/prose/poetry for a period of 3yrs bfore dumpin it. As it stands, i am lost in thought as to whether they wil still repeat d ones of last two years- 2014 nd 2015 or wil b using the ones in d new syllabus_2016 to 2020. Has anyone written lit dis year? Pls clear d air. Mine is march 5. Mods, pls come to my aid.

@mitchyy: in concurrence to fellow nairalander's advice on this thread, a seer was consulted bt surprisingly nd giving credence to baroba's comment, the issue of it being a spiritual attack was laid to rest. He asserted dt it was a mere bite borne out of natural occurence. Again, as directed by anoda commenter,a certified physician was visited. Bt most surprisingly, the prescribed drugs were almost if nt the same wit d ones prescribed by anoda commenter on dis same thread. Guess wat...........

Bia, there is nothing like spiritual attack, what is wrong with Africans? cats are carnivorous animals that rarely bite, doesn't mean you don't have isolated cases, even when it happens, its usually due to been provoked or teased...Please take you mother to a good hospital let them run test on her, there is a possibility she was infected from the bite, hence the swelling and inflammatory response.

A good dose of Co amoxiclav IV antibiotics or any good broad spectrum ABX for 5 to 7 days plus anti inflammatory pain relief should sort her out.. You can apply ice pack and give her Ibuprofen before heading to the hospital..

Please don't take her to any so called traditional roadside quack "doctor", find a proper physician..

My family owned cats for close to 25yrs and no one has ever been threatened talkless of been biten.. Good luck

On 27th of january last month at exactly 2am, mum's scream halted our joyous sleep. Jerked back to reality by her scream, discovered our very own cat has bitten her. We never read any meaning to it nt until d leg started swelling after two days. As i type this, we are awake which has been a tradition after d ugly incident. Can't type much. Pls help a brother. Things are gettng worse day by day. Only an insane person posts incredulous story. Will eva b ready to answer any question. This is a true life story.
