Powers to do what in this present scenario? Acquire knowledge pls. I'm irritated by ignorance. If I have the time to school you myself, I will. Pro bono. The work for humanity must go on.

Clearly you seem to be full of yourself yet know nothing in particular. No need to banter with a birdbrain.

The infamous words of laymen.

Simmer down. What you posted is one of the quickest ways to identify the ignorant ones here. Governors do have certain powers, but there are limitations also. They are not emperors. Open the constitution and read! You people don't like reading. What you see most times are the abuse of such powers, which is illegal.

Try to acquire knowledge of the law, so you don't go about regurgitating nonsense and mystifying basic things.

Keep quiet and go back to bed. All these Wike apologists! I never said you shouldn’t be neck deep in Wikes’s ass! I am saying a sitting governor that is elected does have powers!

Then came your quote of laymen. You ilks ate digusting in your thoughts and processes, always trying to twist a narrative in your favor. I have never underestimated the power of stupid people in large numbers! Get lost!

Which nonsense power? Power yet security agencies in the state are working with orders from above? If you in Rivers, go to the council to make trouble on the 17th of June if you have the capacity.

You’ll be surprised! Must of you guys online here on NL always talk the talk, but will take flight when the time to walk the walk.

Haha! You don’t know what power a sitting governor wields!

Lol, let me give you a breakdown of what will happen on the 29th, bookmark my post, I'm on ground and I don't rely on comments from uninformed social media commenter, firstly on the 29th, the court of Appeal will affirm the 27 lawmakers as the authentic Rivers state House of assembly members, secondly a judgement will be issued from the High Court in Abuja, instructing the governor not to tamper with LGA funds and also giving validity to the tenure elongation since he has refused to conduct an election, I'm sure you're surprised? That's because empty barrel makes the loudest noise and fubara the empty barrel has been making a lot of noise, 21 out of 23 LGA Chairmen are not leaving the council on the 17th of June and nothing will happen, they will also be provided with adequate security from Abuja

You must be misinformed and totally bereft of the provisions of the constitution. This is not a family and friends affair that you can do anyhow and get away with it. I am sure you know what happened to deputy governor in Edo State?

Politics / Re: 'Nigeria, We Hail Thee': Bill seeking return of old anthem gets Reps, Senate nod by SouthSouth1914: 3:36pm On May 23

It's bad. And it is bad because we are resource dependent nations. Meanwhile, china, which is a large contraption , as is India, have some developemtn because they diversified their economies from one track to many tracks. Manufactured goods and services.

While all you guys want is cheap fuel and electricity, which prevents growth of the power sector and by extension industrial growth.

Being a resource dependent nation also prevents domestic manufacturing from growing. Ye don't want to do the hard work

And let's be honest, when african nations break up, they promptly look for a resource to sustain them

Anyway, if you want division, get your senator to pass the appropriate laws. But also consider that as a Nigerian, yer mentaility needs to change from there being a loaf of bread to divide into how we make that loaf of bread, and how we make the equipment to make the loaf of bread.

Every disadvantage has an advantage.

Nigeria has the worst system of government. Terrible human capital developmental structures, decrepit government bureaucracies, mundane policies, zero standard of living!

Most African countries are all colonialists projects. Before they were colonialist projects they were massive warzones, where bigger tribes are smaller tribes. The truth is that unifying us into bigger contraptions ended a lot of mess that we have.

If I wanted to travel from say Sokoto to Onitsha, I can do so peacefully. For most of the route. If I wanted to do so 600 years ago, I would have had to be rich enough to hire an armed guard all the way, because of the anarchic nature of the route. If I get kidnapped on the route, nothing like ransom. I would probably be sold as a slave, taken to say Brazil, and never see my family again. (Ajayi Crowther was lucky a british warship stopped the slave ship that was taking them to Brazil. If not, his fate would have been to be a slave forever).

As much as we would want to split up NIgeria, the result is going to be worse than the Balkans war. Bigger tribes will eat up smaller tribes. War would be all over the place. The result might not be what you want. It's not going to be a peaceful split.

GO and join a party and be the change you want, instead of grumbling about the british. ALl countries, are contraptions. Nothing like people came together in peace. Ethopia that was never colonised...they grew their country by WARS OF CONQUEST...and yes the issues from way back are still affecting them today.

What is the standard of living of Nigerians and other African countries?

In the ongoing travesty of justice that defines our beloved nation, the case of Yahya Bello epitomizes the rot within the Nigerian judicial system. It is nothing short of a national disgrace that while she is swiftly tried, judged, and sentenced within a mere 24 hours, those in the corridors of power continue to roam free, untouchable and unaccountable. This stark contrast lays bare the selective justice that pervades our society.

In Nigeria, the axe of graft and corruption falls disproportionately on the low cadre and the economically disadvantaged. The poor and the powerless are made scapegoats, paraded before the courts and the media to give a false sense of justice being served. Meanwhile, the bourgeoisie and the politically exposed individuals, who plunder our nation's wealth in billions, escape without so much as a slap on the wrist. They are never arrested, never questioned, and never held accountable for their egregious crimes against the state.

These individuals blatantly defy the government, refusing to appear for interrogations or questioning, their arrogance and impunity shielded by their wealth and connections. This gross miscarriage of justice not only undermines the rule of law but also erodes the trust of the average Nigerian in the system meant to protect and serve all citizens equally.

It is an indictment of our justice system that those entrusted with the welfare of the nation are the very ones who bleed it dry, facing no repercussions while the common man bears the brunt of their greed. This selective justice is not just a flaw in our system; it is a cancer that threatens the very fabric of our society.

The Nigerian government must be harshly reprimanded for allowing such blatant inequality to persist. We demand a justice system where the law is truly blind, where the powerful are held to the same standards as the powerless, and where corruption is eradicated not selectively, but universally. Only then can we hope to build a nation where justice prevails, and every citizen, regardless of their socioeconomic status, is treated with fairness and dignity.

Beating your opponent at home isn't news, going away to beat them shows your mental strength as a champion. If you want to be, the best, you beat the best even at their backyard. That's the context rodri was talking about.

Talking about mentality, are you aware Arsenal beat City at the Emirate and drew them at home? This is one of Arsenal’s best seasons. Rodri talks too much!

It's true, they lack that mentality. The season Chelsea last won the league, having lost to city at Stamford Bridge, Conte said we are going to etihad to beat them, and he did it

If you're topping thr epl table, go hard on your title challengers demystifying any ambition left in them

How many points did Man City win the league with?

I don't know why we all have this mentality.

If you have truly loved the child and taken good care of the child, Who will the child take as the Father?

I never felt any fake connection for any of my babies when they were born. Only in taking care of them daily, that's what created that connection.

The fact that it's not your sperm or not your egg is just biology Bro.

Being a Father is much more than that. Don't let societal norms get you crazy.

This even kinda shows you love your child conditionally.

Let the child go.

The connection (if you have truly built it) will always bring the child back to you.

I personally see Fatherhood and Parenthood as a privilege, not a right.

Take your wife back.

We Men of today need wisdom from Heaven to be able to handle our wives maturely while still maintaining leadership.

It's really kinda difficult nowadays, May God help us all.

Your comment is totally wrong! If the wife had told him earlier it would have been better, not after 6 years! Argh, even when the child’s real dad came wanting to take back his child!
