1.5hp of an inverter AC will comsume less than 1.1kw. Other loads should be around 0.7kw, making the total loads on the Gen to be roughly 1.8W... Take 1.8KW from 2.8Kw, you still have about 1KW unused.

So definitely the Gen will not be overworked.

I used spg4000e2 for my 1hp LG dual inverter AC, small hisense 100l fridge, TV and some other appliances and it ended it tears. the seller did not do well they should have advised you to get a bigger Gen cos you'll end up getting another Gen soon or if you want it to last don't use AC.

inverter does not makes it less powerful the difference is that it does not use the high starting power and frequent ON/OFF from the compressor. 2.8kva is maximum capacity not rated and when it comes to generators 1 + 1 does not cut it the power of the Gen should be way higher than the load it wants to carry.

I did all the usual check to ensure it is original. I just hope it does not give me any issue

goodluck but a 2.5kva gen is not advisable for a 1 5hp AC.

In your estimation, is it advisable to service/change the piston and ring or just buy a new generator.
My elepaq 1.8kva is consuming oil and soot covers the engine block as well as the exhaust. I was advised to work on the piston and rings.
The generator was serving me excellently from 2017-2019. The issues started because rain is beating it in the current location.


I've been considering a higher generator 3.3 - 4.5kva and elepaq and sumec have been high on the radar based on budget. It seems sumec is less noisy than elepaq.
I'm having doubt of the elepaq because the 4.5kva is about 100-120k while the 3.3kva sumec is 120k. Anyone with experience using elepaq SV6800, 7200,8500, 7800 E2 series?

you can change piston and rings once if it develops fault again you can go for half engine but make sure you don't stress the Generator and as for the elepaq there are some good reviews here from Akell and suco01 you can ask them for more info about the Gen

But generally, it's a good generator.

N.B: Maybe what you saw is Elepaq Senwei. Senwei isn't 100% copper. It'll given in under too much load. It's not recommended.

Hello

I have an ac Lg low voltage, though not inverter ac that I used for over 3years without stabilizer, before packing it.

Recently I remembered the ac and decided to install it in my room and when I called a technician to loose it and reinstall in my room, he said the compressor is short on gas, after he has finished installation.

I told him to refill gas, and he did, and came again to tell me, that the ac compressor is bad and need to change.

I asked him how much he said its almost 18k for 1.5hp which the ac is and a Belgium compressor is good.

I gave him money to put the Belgium compressor and the noise from the ac is too much, as if it's a generator when an using it.

Another thing now is that the ac is no longer cooling, and he said the compressor is bad again, that I need to change it, I was like it's not upto 4months I changed it, and he said it's current that is spoiling the compressor because am using it without stabilizer.

So my question is must all ac be used with stabilizer?

Because for like three years I bought this ac I didn't use any stabilizer and it worked perfectly.

I have never used a stab for my LG inverter Ac.

Finally I decided to buy a brand new panasonic AC 1.5HP.
sadly, I have made a mistake by trusting a seller in Lagos. I asked him repeatedly and he insisted that it's 410A gas. On receiving it in Awka today I realised its R22 rated, am so pissed now. I called him and he said it might be R22 rated but it's gas is 410A. Can you imagine such nonsense.

Please how Ok is it to use R22 because am thinking of sending it back to Lagos. So bitter now

there are generators below 200k that can conveniently power AC.
