Now you are getting the point. Already Anambra is building an airport, Ebonyi has finalised arrangement to start the construction of its airport next year. Let every state develop any infrastructure they deem fit.

nnamdijonathan:
Every state in the east should have its own international airport and provide employment for its residents through the airports. The air traffic will be evenly divided across the states and it will be left for the state governments to make their states more viable to attract more traffic.

It is not being emotional, it is about saying it the way it is. Every state should develop the infrastructure that is suitable for it and its people. You guys should stop this useless regional arrangements. We are now operating as federating units, so every state knows what is good for it's development and advancement.

Develpeast:
Stop being overtly emotional about this. I will stop now because they said you are chino.
Politics › Re: . by SpaceTour: 2:38pm On Oct 23, 2018
What you are saying is absolutely rubbish. Anambra needs not just an airport but an international airport. Anambra has carve a niche for itself as the economic hub of the SE without seaport nor airport. Now the economy of Anambra is moving from commerce to industrialisation. Now there is a new development in ATK that will be linked to the airport when completed.

With the Onitsha Port and Anambra International airport, then the entire east is good to go. Aviation development is very critical economic development of any state, and Obiano saw this need to take the economy of the state to yet another level, which is very good. All the states in the SE will benefit from the Anambra International airport, there is no need for any airport in Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi etc. All of them should key into Anambra airport when completed. I think that is the right thing to do.

Develpeast:
The problem is not what imo state is doing with their airport. The problem is what igbos are not doing with imo airports. We should stop this attitude that imo state airport is for imo state people alone. With the right agreements, the whole of igboland should benefit from the cargo airport built in the state.
Moreover, it is not the fault of imo that anambra did not look into the building of airport all these years. With rising economic needs, the airport in anambra should as a matter of urgency stalled and money diverted into more fruitful pursuits that will earn us more than what we are earning at the moment.
Anambra has failed to look into its comparative advantage and expand on it. Alibaba, Amazon and the Walmart are all concepts of basic buying and selling that the western world has modernized and making billions of dollars from. China currently has the biggest mall in the world and it generates billions of dollars yearly. Onitsha is strategically located and can stand firmly as a very good substitute to lock-jammed lagos due to ease of business but we have stopped tapping on the 70million-plus market that skip onitsha and still run to lagos.
I am not saying the people are not trying but we can do better and key into this modernization. We can provide 500,000 jobs without even trying if we can plan the economy well.

jboi81:
Really sad that we have people like you in igbo land, the same problem with our country Nigeria, because we see ourselves differently and the interest of each tribes and regions comes first;which made the practice of true federalism fail, fine the results are all there waving us all, let's deal with it, because of people like you, there will never be unity amongst the igbos, but then the good thing is that many anambrarians don't reason like you, I wish you well.

I don't need to read your nonsense gibberish. What I am saying is that your Imo state is cursed with bad leaders and bad state. There is nothing to point at in the state. Stop mentioning that state anywhere because it is a cursed state. Nothing is working in your cursed state so stop mentioning it in the public. You are not from Ihiala, please focus on your cursed state and leave us alone. It is not by force.

[s]
dudebuck:
That is how they fail English test, you cannot read and comprehend what you just read, please read that post again. I said I left Imo state in 2006 and that the pipe borne water in Owerri eas built 40 years ago by Mbakwe! as at the time I left the place the pipe borne water was working well, I lived in Imo state, it doesn't make you more Anambra than I am, I also Lived in River State, no I went back to Ihiala to collect my voter card, went to Aba and Lagos to but goods befor jetting out to Libreville, Gabon where I currently live. Living in Libreville dosent make me a Gabonese. I am still a Biafran. I will go to Ihiala two weeks before the election to see things for myself and enjoy ofensala,I just can't wait for that day.

Stop the nonsense. Anambra comes first to Anambrans before any Igbo interest. We should care for our state first before caring for the general Igbos. Charity begins at home. All we are asking is for you outsiders to stay away from our election.

[s]
jboi81:
This guy you're just a baby, anambra man just answered you now, and you turned the whole thing to voters card showing, lol, igbo is igbo just 1 igbo,my anambra people be careful how you run down other igbos from other state, igbo interest comes first before the interest of any igbo state, that is why you will see an anambra man supporting the call for the election boycott, many anambrarians keep calling, IMO abia ebonyi people all source of names, yet they are igbos like you, it's evil and sad, heartbreaking, biafra or no biafra Nnamdi kanu as created a good atmosphere to voice out against the evil perpetrated by our leaders in this country, he is human and can't get every of his moves right, ruggedized1 please apply wisdom to this matter, if you don't have it, genuinely pray for it.

Imagine this hopeless Imo state clown. Where and how can you compare the two states? cheesy

Has your useless governor paid ordinary salary? Has he done any project worthy of emulation like in the case of Anambra? What is the situation of education in Imo state? Zero

What is the situation of infrastructure? Zero

Workers in Imo state are owed over 10months salary arrears.

Imo state is rated alongside Taraba and Zamfara state. We are not mates OK

Imo state is cursed right from Mbakwe to the present governor. There is no development in your cursed state. This is a statement of fact.

[s]
dudebuck:
Chai celebrating mediocrity. When I left Imo state back in 2006, Owerri had pipe borne water, where in Anambra can we find such? I am from Ihiala BTW. My Mom is from Osumenyi. I am not at all impressed by the type of governors we have had in Anambra. The only person that really trued in Mbadinuju but was very maltreated by obasanmma abi njo, so he was prevented from doing anything, it lead to crysis up on crysis, even to the great strike of 2001 or 2002, of teachers, when many Anambra kids that could afford it left for other states to continue their education. We got Adaobi and he brought this Abomination that calls himself Obiano, if Obiano and Adaobi could do even half of what Mbakwe did in Imo state back in the 80s Anambra will be like Georgia, USA Honestly. I don't celebrate mediocrity no matter who is behind it.

Now see the same i.diot claiming that his mom is from Osumenyi. I took those pictures from Osumenyi because that is my 2nd home. This is the same reason I said that these miscreants calling for boycott of election in Anambra are not even from Anambra. Bunch of frustrated hopeless people.

[s]
dudebuck:
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, you downloaded pics from google images to show me, these pics have been there since a long time. In fact I saw these pics when GEJ was president, we argued with some Afonjas about Osumenyi, when I posted a picture of some shops in the town, where they were sell DSTv decoders and other electronics, then the Afonjas called me a liar, another brother then posted these same pics you played here before those guys Shut up. Amaihie is the place. Amaihie in Osumenyi.

You are bastard, go and look for your father somewhere in Imo state. Obiano's projects are worldclass. Go and face your useless and hopeless governor in Imo state that has littered his useless state with useless substandard projects.

[s]
dudebuck:
Yes Obiano's ass has been drilled, fake and substandard and useless projects everywhere. Look at Sam Mbakwe, the projects he carried out in Imo state since close to 40 years now are still there and are working, why? because he Identified the NEEDS of the people not his personal wants, and he made sure that these things were built with quality and integrity, not personal pet projects like this useless bridge. Why no invest in Electricity so that the WHOLE Anambra can have constant electric power supply, this will help move a lot of SME move to Anambra and create lots Of jobs for people. In the US SME create 75% of the jobs. Yeah, that is true.

You haven't answered my question, where in Anambra are you from? I have said where I am from ans where my mom is from. I am from Ihiala, my mom is from Amaihie in Osumenyi. Where are you from?

You are not making any point. The truck failed break and hit the pillar. If the entire structure was not strong it would have collapsed completely. Tell us what could have caused the overhead to shift from it's position. Looking at the bridge you could notice a mis-alignment. From the picture the pillars are in order. What happened was that the impact moved the overhead bridge because there are expansion gaps which is very common in bridge development. It helps bridges to withstand shocks in the case of something like this happens.

[s]
adanny01:
A failing foundation can cause that.

Secondly, it doesnot look like a truck hit. From my analysis, if we were driving on the right, then a hit can be said to be a likely cause. The geometry of the shift doesnot corresponding to the direction a truck driving on the left drivers side orientation would cause. What am talking about is the lane. Its either the right side of the bridge shifted backwards or the left side shift farwards. This is against the corresponding traffic on both lanes so i can rule a truck hit out of the likely causes. Unless the truck hit by going wrong lane.
