Me? Well, I haven't been banned in 4 years now, so perhaps that should amount to something? LOLOn a more serious note though, I would've nominated iice if she weren't a mod - but then again, I'll just nominate Stankayy, whose immense contributions on the Big Brother Africa thread made a force to reckon with. |
rokiatu:Hmmm, Let's see -- the director, actors, screenwriters, producers, executive producers, art directors, and even the mainstream audience, because 98 percent of the time, a movie's commercial performance is used as a barometer in determining whether or not it's worth seeing. Case in point? Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. ![]() |
Omo meeehn! I don see some real CALAMITIES for all my years wey I dey watch movies o! Kai, wetin be dis? But anyways, make I try list de ones wey I go fit remember: Transformers 2 (Featuring a giant robot with GIANT DANGLING BALLS) Batman and Robin (featuring Batman in a nippled batsuit best suited for Pamela Anderson) BloodRayne (It was after seeing this movie that I realized the best job suited for Uwe Boll was at the bushy backyard of a public toilet, doing manual labour) In The Name Of The King (It was after seeing this movie that I changed my mind, and decided the best job suited for Uwe Boll, instead, was at the streets of Oshodi, hawking bananas) Disaster Movie (Please people, for the sake of your health, try as much as you can to avoid this movie. Instead, I'd advise you to go stare at more appealing things, Like watery stool) Aeon Flux/Flush (Just as the name suggests, the best thing to do is flush this bloated sack of horseshit down the nearest prison toilet in your vicinity, for the safety of mankind) The Love Guru (Oh, and if you're wondering what that smell is, that's not fart, That's the smell of Mike Myer's reputation decomposing) |
In more ways than one, I'm so glad this movie failed, and it's purely on the producers' poor decision to give top billing to Jolie and not Depp, despite the fact that much of the plot revolved around the latter. And to be quite honest with you, even though I'm a huge fan of Mr. Scissorhands (Depp), I'm certainly not in the mood to blow my money watching a totally useless Angelina playing her usual one-dimensional alter-ego (the same rubbish alter ego we've seen her play in Mr & Mrs Smith, and Tomb Raider, and The Hackers, AND Wanted). Abegii! Good thing say this movie don finally bomb-scatter, make we hear word jor! |
@Mobinga -- Sorry. The link problem arose from a minor typographical error on my part. It's been rectified now. Try it again, please ![]() |
And just in case you're wondering, Michael Moore is the film director behind the influential documentary, "Farenheit 911" - a documentary movie heavily exposing and criticising the Bush administration for its numerous failures (including the poor tackling of the September 11 issue, as well as the false war on Iraq). |
Guys, check out Michael Moore's blog entry on why he helped bail Julian Assange. I'm currently using a phone browser, and unable to Copy-Paste the article (character limit issues) - but I'd like you to post the article on this thread, if chanced. Here's the link: m.dailykos.com/stories/2010/12/14/928855/-Why-Im-Posting-Bail-Money-for-Julian-Assange.html |
The man behind WikiLeaks has won the most votes in this year's Person of the Year poll. Readers voted a total of 1,249,425 times, and the favorite was clear. Julian Assange raked in 382,020 votes, giving him an easy first place. He was 148,383 votes over the silver medalist, Recep Tayyip Ergodan, Prime Minister of Turkey. But Assange wasn't the winner in all aspects -- Lady Gaga trounced him on Facebook, receiving 65,417 "likes" on Facebook to Assange's 45,643. 1. Julian Assange 2. Recep Tayyip Ergodan 3. Lady Gaga 4. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert 5. Glenn Beck 6. Barack Obama 7. Steve Jobs 8. The Chilean Miners 9. The Unemployed American 10. Mark Zuckerberg Will Assange be named Person of the Year? The editors of TIME will unveil their choice on the TODAY show, Wednesday morning on NBC. newsfeed.time.com/2010/12/13/julian-assange-readers-choice-for-times-person-of-the-year-2010 |
Well, I haven't seen many Nollywood movies of late, because they're trash anyways, but I do have a few movies I'd call my favorites - and they're actually from the era of Liz Benson, Regina Auskia and Joke Silva - cuz that was when movie-making was, well, movie-making. 1. Vuga -- Regina Auskia and Gentle Jack {It even features Jim Iyke as a slave rebel} 2. Blind Trust -- Ramsey Noah and Segun Arinze 3. Silent Night -- Segun Arinze, Ramsey Noah, Joke Silva, Alex Usifo and Emeka Ike 4. Shame -- Richard Mofe-Damijo, Liz Benson and Sola Fosudo 5. Full Moon -- Regina Auskia (Kai! Nostalgia wan kill me here) 6. Igodo -- Pete Edochie, Sam Dede, Charles Okafor 7. Sakobi -- Saint Obi, Susan Patrick and Tony Umez 8. Blood of The Orphan -- Ramsey Noah, Tony Umez 9. Scores To Settle -- Liz Benson, Richard Mofe-Damijo and Omotola Jalade 10. Danger Zone -- Saint Obi, Ramsey Noah, Victoria Iyama and Susan Patrick Dang! If there was a way I could get these movies in a DVD - or on the internet - I'd KILL to have them again!! |
My wonderful people! I know it was truly rude of me to suddenly disappear like I did. You won't believe this, but I was actually carried away with the euphoria that accompanied our well-deserved victory. But now wey my head don clear small, I'd like to come in and say my goodbyes to all the wonderful people who really made this possible in here. With our 'heroics,' I can safely conclude that the success of our country in the political zone actually lies in our hands - with the only obstacle resting on proper channeling. Una wan tell me say if we carry this kind muscle vote for next year's election, say we no go make am? Well, time will tell. Anyhoo, in the mean time, make I just send my special thanks to Stankayy, Tatiana, Dominique, Jejelolatutu, Gunnergal, v24m, Kaydee, Ambber, ScreenDiva, Rheinmetal, Montelik, SAGirl, LaVivi, 9ja4eva, as well as each and every soul who made this a worthwhile experience for all of us. I enjoyed reading the writeups, and it was such an honor interacting with all you beautiful people. This season marks the end of BB for me, as I feel the time has come to officially hang my boots as far as Reality Television is concerned. So, this is the end of all things 'Big Brother' for me. I wish you guys all the best, as I disappear into the shadow of the moonlight. Good luck and take care. |
Eh? Lawyerchap? Wetin be your FB name? I need to know the ID I'll be rooting for ![]() |

Oh my heart! God, please help me. |
Well, whatever happens tonight, atleast we can say we did our best. It's very rare for a country, after winning in the previous edition, to still back and perform as well as being called an 'almost,' hey? ![]() We've done our best. And whatever happens, we don try. Naija For Life |
Oh lord |
Abeg, make this final show come quick quick, so I go fit return this 'Tales-by-moonlight' ID to the rightful owner. Some of you Nairalanders sabi fabricate some hilarious Stories o! ![]() Mehn, I'm just looking into this profile for the first time. |
Well, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope their votes will actually make the much needed difference :* While you're checking out the pages, you could also check out the ones belonging to some of our Nollywood actors like Ramsey. De guy na UFC too ![]() |
@Dominique Well, you could entertain yourself by checking out the FB profiles of Uti supporters like Ricco (Ricco XiV Venancio). The stuff he had to say about his state with Munya is quite refreshing. I guess he truly did become away of his disloyalty. |
^Tell me about it. Such imbecillic writing is unbeatable! I only hope and pray the votes aren't tampered with. . . That's my only worry. |
These Munya guys are truly stup!d. Nonsense. http://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=142265952485777&id=124485927597113&fbb=r3d7f95de&refid=0 |
Yes oh. Special congratulations to everyone and all our efforts. We've done our best, and honestly, I doubt we even stressed this much during Kevin's time. The odds may still be stacked against Uti, but let's all just relax and accept whatever outcome ![]() |
Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. This is the moment where we make our final attack. This is the most decisive night in the game. From indications, our work on Dear Kenny hasn't been satisfactory. I'm hoping we could fire our all in there. Good luck! ![]() |
LOL Malam! ![]() |
Jesus Christ, Benfino! How many times have I told you to GET LOST ALREADY? We ain't buying! |
They want to prove us wrong, just like they did last week, when Munya topped Uti in the voting stats, even after dissing his president & country. If you compared that with this recent one, this is just mild. So, if you think he's sinking, U'RE DEAD WRONG! |
