Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has spoken concerning the war of words between Kemi Olunloyo and Linda Ikeji over the latter’s pregnancy.

Kemi Olunloyo had on her Instagram accused Linda of wearing a prosthetic bump after she made a lengthy emotional post, chronicling her journey and her excitement when she found out she was pregnant.

She said Ikeji was neither engaged nor pregnant.

London based human rights organisation, Amnesty International (AI), says Nigerian soldiers and Civilian JTF members take turns to rape girls and women in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in exchange for food.

Millions of Nigerians in war ravaged north east States of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe have been fleeing the Boko Haram insurgency which began in 2009.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, is likely to declare his intention to contest the 2019 presidency in June.

Atiku had in December formally returned to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from the All Progressives Congress.

A close associate of the PDP chieftain told Vanguard that the formal declaration slated in the third week of June, will hold in Abuja.

While noting that Atiku has been impressed with the outcome of his ongoing nationwide consultation, he added that a formal declaration would officially kickstart his campaign.

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has vowed to die or not to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he claimed to be one of its founders in the state.

He said when he took the mainstream of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to join the merger that gave birth to APC, he was not under any pressure to do so, adding that he even made the move at the risk of his second tenure as governor.

Governor Okorocha, who said this in a press statement he issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, added that he became the propeller of APC in the state and the whole of South East by mobilising people for the party in Imo, Ebony, Abia, Enugu, and Anambra states.

A gunman has accidentally shot himself as he tried to climb over a fence after shooting his his ex-girlfriend’s new lover.

A lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, University of Calabar (Unical), Dr. Eyo Mensah has been suspended by the management of the Institution.

Registrar of the University, Mr Moses Abang disclosed this in a letter titled ‘Indefinite suspension from the services of the University of Calabar’, dated 15th May 2018, signed by him.

He said that the Vice Chancellor, Prof Zana Akpagu had ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of the lecturer.

President Muhammadu Buhari has dared the national assembly to confront him publicly on capital projects.

A police inspector attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command, Ikorodu office, allegedly collected N5,000 from a lady after threatening to shoot her.

The Nigerian Army on Wednesday said it killed 15 Boko Haram terrorists and rescued 49 persons in separate encounters between Boko Haram and troops in the Southern Lake Chad Basin.
