The General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, TB Joshua, has caught an elderly man, identified as Luke Emeka Okeke, from Enugu State, watching pornography right as he (Joshua) was preaching.



The incident happened during one of the pastor’s weekly church services in Lagos where the cleric was seen hitting the man’s manhood during deliverance.



Okeke subsequently confessed to be addicted to watching pornography, adding that his wife, who was present at the church, was not aware of his habit.

Troops from the 3 Division of the Nigerian army have embarked on a search and rescue operation of retired Major General Idris Alkali, who went missing on September 3.



Commander of the division and leader of the mission, Brigadier-General Umar Mohammed, told Channels Television on Thursday that the troops had been deployed to Dura Du in Jos South local government area of Plateau State.



According to him, following a preliminary investigation, the vehicle of the missing officer was seen close to a pond in the area.



He said, “Based on credible intelligence, we had to come here. We have been here for the past one week. We are trying to find an officer who is still declared missing that is Major General M. Alkali (retired)”.

Golden Eaglets’ assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade has promised that the technical crew will present an improved team for the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations tournament next year.

Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP governorship candidate in the Osun election on Saturday may not be qualified to run for the office and his attempt to make things up, has landed him in Police trouble.



The police asked him and four others to report today to their Special Investigation Panel at the Abuja headquarters for arraignment in court.



He and the other suspects will face a charge of examination malpractice, criminal conspiracy, personation.



The police named the other suspects as

MR Sikiru Adeleke, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau (Principal of Ojo-Aro Community High School, Egbedore LGA, Osun State), Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo (School Staff responsible for the registration of candidates for NECO), Mr Dare Olutope (School Teacher who facilitated the commission of the crime).

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday has asked citizens to ignore rumour being circulated that he had withdrawn from the 2019 governorship race to pave way for the emergence of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.



Sanwo-Olu, is believed to be the anointed candidate of the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is disturbed over its fate and that of its standard bearer, Senator Ademola Adeleke, should the court grant the prayers of his challengers today.

Adeleke, who currently represents Osun West senatorial district, was accused of parading a forged O’level result, shortly after emerging the candidate of the party.


Recall that Adeleke was earlier challenged by two members of the party, Rasheed Olabayo and Oluwaseun Idowu.

In the suit filed on July 24, they sought an interlocutory order to set aside the election of Adeleke as the candidate of the party and to stop him from parading himself as one, insisting that he did not satisfy the constitutional requirements to contest the governorship primary.

Budget and National Planning Minister Udoma Udoma has said the President Muhammadu Buhari government has moved 10 million Nigerians out of poverty.



Udoma made the claim in Abuja on yesterday while unveiling plans for the 24th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES#24).

The North West zone of National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) on Friday said 53 lives were lost to flood in both Katsina and Kaduna States, while 30 others were missing in the last four months.



Mr Ishaya Chonoko, North West Zonal, Coordinator of the agency, gave the figures in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna.



According to him, the agency recorded 51 deaths in Katsina State, two in Kaduna State, while 30 persons were confirmed missing in Jibiya, a border town in Katsina State.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, has declared that the ruling party was the largest in Africa with membership of about 15.6 million nationwide, the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports.

Martha Colt, the most depraved member of the Colt incest family whose five children resulted from incestuous relationships, was found living with her brother, a court has heard.

The incestuous clan began when brother and sister Tim and June left New Zealand for Australia in the 1970s and started a family.

Their daughter Martha was living with her brother Charlie Colt — who she had once slept openly with in a "marital bed" on the Colt incest family farm — when arrested in April.

Four of Martha Colt's children, aged between 11 and 20, are a result of sexual relationships with a sibling or parent.

A member of the People Democratic Party (PDP) was on Monday shot as protesters numbering over a thousand stormed the party’s secretariat in Cross River State.



An eyewitness, who gave his name as Nathaniel, said there was argument between some members of the party during the protest and one unidentified man brought out a locally made pistol and shot the victim.



The protest was led by aspirants and prominent members of the party, including the former state chairman of the party, Ntufam Ekpo Okon, immediate past Special Adviser to Ayade on Security Matters, Mr. Jude Ngaji and the immediate past commissioner for New Cities in Ayade’s government, Mr. George Ekpungu, among others.

The Police Command in Enugu State has arrested a school Headmaster, one Idoko Nathaniel, aged 50, of Mkpamteulo village, Enugu Ezike community, Igbo-Eze North Council for allegedly defiling four pupils put under his care.

Police spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement on Monday, said that the incident happened at Migrant Farmers Children School located at Aguibeji community in Enugu Ezike, Igboeze North local Government Area.

Amaraizu said that operatives of the Gender Unit of the state’s Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department investigated the suspect for weeks in relation to his alleged nefarious activities.

He noted that the suspect had allegedly in the afternoon of July 17 at a bush near the school sexually abused and defiled the four minors aged between five and six years.

There was pandemonium at the Kogi State Polytechnic on Monday following the invasion of over 50 suspected thugs allegedly loyal to the incumbent rector, Isah Mohammed.





Thevicknews reliably gathered that the suspected thugs disrupted the sitting of the Governing Council, which earlier planned to deliberate whether to support or reject the re-appointment of the present rector whose tenure is expected to expire this week.

A 19-year-old man, who was identified as Prince Chigozie, has reportedly committed suicide because he was denied some bananas by a relation of his.

The incident took place in Mmakwum village, Obosi in the Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered on Monday that Chigozie hanged himself in his room.

A source in the community who begged not to be named for fear of victimisation told newsmen that Chigozie was found hanging in his room by his father.

Donald Trump: thousands of workers losing their jobs

More than 133,000 Americans have been sacked since President Donald Trump took office 18 months ago, according to a study by an advocacy group, Good Jobs Nation.



In a new report, Broken Promises #2, the group said Trump administration has actually been encouraging companies to ship jobs abroad. And they are doing so in record numbers.



The study showed that Trump administration has awarded more than $50 billion in new federal contracts to companies that continue to shutter U.S. factories as they seek cheaper labour abroad.



As a result, top federal contractors – Carrier’s parent company United Technologies, General Motors, Honeywell and Siemens – are now offshoring jobs at the fastest rate since the Great Recession. In fact, annual offshoring by taxpayer-funded corporations under Trump is on track to be three times greater than under the Obama and Bush administrations, the report said.

The police in Anambra has arrested five men suspected to be members of a syndicate, who specialize in stealing children.





THEVICKNEWS.COM gathered that the suspects were arrested in various locations in the state, while five children kidnapped by the syndicate were rescued.



A press release by the police public relations officer of the Anambra State police command, SP Haruna Mohammed gave the names of the suspects as: Emeka Nnoruo; 44 years, Ekene Obodoako; 27 years, Maduabuchi Ekwema; 25 years, Chika Obi; 28 years and Eberechi Onyeghara;14 years.

At least three people have been killed and one expatriate kidnapped by unknown gunmen around Woji community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.



It was gathered that the victims of the attack include: two police personnel and a civilian driver in a convoy of an expatriate who was later abducted by the kidnappers.



A source, who claimed to have witnessed the incident, said the kidnappers ambushed the convoy within Acom road in Woji community in Obio-Akpor area and shot dead the two police officers and the driver of the convoy.

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has alerted the nation about some cancer-causing substances found in some school uniform materials made by two China-based companies.



The Special Assistant and Head of Public Relations to the Director General of SON, Bola Fashina, said in a statement on August 28, that importers of school uniform materials into Nigeria should be warned.



The cancer causing uniforms, he alleged are made by two China based companies, Sing Shun Fat School-Clothier Company and Zenith Uniform Company.



The statement signed by Fashina, disclosed that the azo dyes which were found in some school uniforms in Hong Kong contained up to 173 milligrams and 41 milligrams per kilogram of the tested samples respectively, which were well above the maximum allowed in the standard.

A new study shows that goats prefer a happy human face instead of an angry one, which suggests such socio-cognitive ability is more widespread in the animal kingdom than previously assumed.

The research, conducted by scientists from the British Royal Society to ascertain goats’ ability to understand human social cues, used 35 goats for the study, according a report published in the Open Science journal.


The researchers showed the goats a pair of photos of the same person, one of them looking happy, and the other angry.



The goats overall showed a strong preference for the positive face, wanting to interact with the happy face photo first and tending to spend more time with it, compared to the angry face photo.

Alhaji Sule Lamido, a former Governor of Jigawa and Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said he will not leave the party even if he loses primaries for the presidential race.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) believes the outcome of the general elections in 2019 will be determined by the votes from the electorate.
