To make money in games requires strategy considering nigerians are way to crafty and money conscious. make a game every nigerian will like with plenty of renewable upgrades each with a small fee say 50bucks. Now thats the secret! most nigerians overlook these small amount calling it chicken feed, thats why mtn founders are millionaires. if your lil game is a hit with good graphics trust me u will make cash. Then also make a website for the game. the site will generate some income too. also add a donate button in your game menu and site. Making a lot of interesting upgrades, collectibles, weapons, artifact, outifit and themes is the key. you have to brainstorm some cool features that can hook the players attention. eg a magic card in whot game that can change any opponents card to whatever card u want. i like game dev. i have a lot of frame to frame blueprint for my games. its just the implementation thats the problem. am learning javafx for 2d and jmonkeyengine for 3d. once i grasp these 2 am good to go.

i was a game freak before, i have already mapped out all my games, the upgrades, overview, collectibles etc i had the uml all planned out. but then, i needed to make the game ui design, so i just switched over to learn graphic design. i have photoshop on my sleeves and next is corel draw for my vector based game ui. i should be tru in a month and begin game dev proper.

I heard about this very weird language brainfuck, mehn it bleeped my brain when i tried to learn it. so i dont still get what its used for. they say its esoteric blah blah blah and have only 8 syntax used. which crazy coder even made that language?

i created one or two anim with pivot and think its really cool for understanding the basic concepts in animation like walking, jogging, trotting, running, gestures etc.
except for facial animating and some other lapse.
But i like the software and it has a large community.

Damn, so many ideas on here!...wish I was better enlightened while choosing a course career...I study Accountancy, but have a knack for programming...most of my friends would say "I bet you'll make it in life with programming and not your course".
Learnt vb6, C++ , C Lang, and Java as far back as 2013-14...but sadly today, I only make use of vb.net which I graduated into myself...university studies is really eating up my time and I seriously wish I had more time to practise.

Not to praise myself, but I've always been better at programming than my colleagues supposedly undergraduates in Computer Sciences while learning, that I was even called back to come tutor a class on programming and web dev.
Just at a crossroad on whether to advance in Accountancy or dive fully into the programming world.

My question now is where and how do i place my IMAGE(.jif) file so that my java file can use it and display it. Why i asked is that i put the image on thesame package with my java file yet when it was run, i got only text as an output without the image being there. Please help me out cos i am depressed right now.

locate your .java file folder and paste the pic there. then use Image.getclass().getResourceAsStream('yourpicname.png);
