After the court martial, they have an inhouse appellate court, after which the Supreme Court can arbitrate.
Infact the Supreme is the highest Arbiter in this matter. If judgment is passed and the suspect/respondent is not comfortable with it, he can appeal.

I understand the appeal process.

My point is simple, the military court can take as long as it would and doesn't need to inform anyone about it proceeding.
