before buying a car, i am thinking to go register with very good mechanic, at least for 1 month, let me get to know all the components in a car

all this things when you just talk so, is like french to me.

someone suppose get basic idea for car.

what do you think bro, is it a good idea

Pearl1910:

Are you the only one that drives the car?
What happened to me was the car didn't even start, we trouble-shoot from battery to kick starter to ignition to fuse till I suggested he checks the gear switch cos it was like car is on gear and u r trying to start...it will not start. Then we discovered the safety/security switch on the gear is bad, rewire now bypassed that security before car could start.

What I am saying is that someone must have done that connection intentionally or mistakenly, before the car will be starting on gear...cos if the switch goes bad, d car will not start at all.

davit:
Aswear most drivers I have seen on ehailing lack driving skills. One nearly jammed me yesterday at Ikate. I had to park, block him and make him understand the rule of driving he broke. After a while, he came to his senses and started pleading.

Don’t be too full of yourself, u come meet people for this business, even those that have over 20 cars on the platform as at 2014-2016 and they all made use of 2010-2014 models of Toyota and other brands as at then, at least page 1-10 on this platform, they full their

so i don’t know how you are feeling like, whether i drive or i nor drive, it does not remove food from my table.

No one use derogatory terms on me especially when i didn’t come at you, i treat drivers nicely can you tell me what is your headache about that?

like what exactly is your problem

no let me get matter with you ohhh, abeg dey your dey

what exactly is your headache, if you don’t call you riders how is dat my fvcking business, are you the only driver on the platform

there are over 2.5 million drivers on Bolt, so Mr man you are inconsequential, don’t feel too highly of yourself.

i believe i have respected everyone here, abeg respect yourself, let me learn what i came here to learn in peace

We learn about the security challenges every day, that’s why as a rider i try to do things to make any driver riding me to be comfortable

Your Recommendation well received, as a rider we will keep doing better
deedee44:

You want to start driving soon, so I'm telling you from experience now.

Beware of riders that put roadside or popular landmarks as their PU

Most of them put similar locations as destination

Most of them are unusually nice and friendly

Most of them do transfer and because they are nice and friendly you too will want to pay back in kind if alert doesn't drop on time.

That's how most riders scam scam drivers with fake transfer. There are some that have good intentions like you, but the ones with bad intentions outnumber the good.

I have peace of mind to an extent if I pick you from a place I can trace you to if something goes wrong. I hope you get my point now

men you guys are trying ohhh

one thing i have observed from driver post is, it is recommended that even when you want to cancel, you should drive to the pick up point and wait some minutes before you cancel

if you have 10 cancellations per day, doesn’t that cut into more fuel expenses for the driver?

deedee44:

If rider cancels, they will reimburse the driver after 30 days. If driver cancels then it's byebye to commission except you drive down to pickup location and cancel with the option "rider did not show"

this are the types of training i came here to get,
Brain resetting
Ghost1994:

Sir I disagree with you on this…

One of the major car odor is Driver sleeping in the car turning the car to a room self contained.

I picked a rider around Abraham Adesanya to VI last week the man conversations sounds like this…

Man; good morning sir
Me: morning sir
Man: please sir am so sorry to ask this questions which I don’t normally do.::: hope you’re not among those drivers that sleep in the car?
Me: never hope no problem sir?
Man: no problem sir you can come now am opposite a supermarket.
Me: on 1.9 surge make I sharply carry him.

I picked the man and he was bitterly complaining that 2 bolt driver that came, their cars stinks like mortuary although he asked them and they confirmed they slept in the car which prompted him to leave and cancel the ride cos he was on white and going for a meeting.

How can a rider that’ll pay 7,300 for a single trip worth 2,200 will not enjoy their trip with quality car is wrong now.

I understand some of them might be living far but at least that car is their office how much is car wash and car perfume. Even dashboard cleaner is just 500-700naira.

Flood is not riders fault if you detect a flood area and you know your car can’t swim. Nobody force anybody that’s why there’s an option for cancellation.

But you see that above mentioning go to Osapa London this morning and find out

at the bolded Much Blessings Sir

YeyeGbami:
When are we going to talk about drivers showing up with vehicles that will stink and sound like grinding machine? If no be shocks na one thing or the other. Or drivers asking for cash trips etc

Why blame rider for bad roads? If you no like the road, note it down and never go there again.

While we’re all hustling to make the money , lets not become beasts. The nation is hard everyone know but we still need to show empathy while doing doing our jobs.

Meeting your driver halfway is what i usually do cos am ready before i request and once i see say him don enter my street i don dey waka go meet am. Some of us are wired like that, i no even like make rider con dey call me say ehn am outside.

Some riders will even call you to explain easier routes to get to them. Asking people out of your vehicle should be the last resort, it shouldn’t be an habit.

this thread shall, u dey fear d people wen u go tell make dem calm down?

Na wa ohhh

or u guys hate it wen u see a responsible rider, which is it

you complain of rider doing fake transfer, multiple stops at ATM, card trips when you actually need cash, then you see a rider making life easy for you, you are asking if i have issues with drivers

driver complain of multiple stop from riders without informing them before trip starts,

you see a rider informing you before u start his trip of all the stops he needs, before he gets to destination, still na wahala

in Mr Marcaroni voice are you Normal?

people who are called Joseph are known to be wise ohhh.

Please calm down. Do you have issues with drivers? We all have gotten your point.

yes oh poco illustration was on point, she drop it like is hot, no time, one thing i like about her is that, she is very smart

she is just like you Mr Baz, you joke a lot, but the wisdom you want to pass is hidden in your funny post, most time people miss it

BAZ001:

C’mon that illustration is not good for oven lighters drivers.
They easily get distracted.

I remembered scoping a busty girl , just to make her head swell and give me 5star .

She said “ with all your sweet mouth, I won’t mind you touching my breast small and tell me to leave the fare”

I shock, how will touching of breast equates 3,200 naira. Distraction everywhere.

Oga Spartacus did the illustration help ?

It just pilled the paint and it’s only the bumper. Three runs girls at the back and one guy in front who begged them to pls be quiet he wants to talk to his wife for 5mins.
Trust me the girls forget and giggled while the guy was talking to his wife. He had to mute and begged them again “ pls now”
I was busy laughing until dey hit my car, smile disappear sharp sharp.

I will rather go home or go see a movie than transfer aggression on rider.

I’ve told a rider before that I just had issue with the last rider and she should pardon me incase I’m not coordinated. She made sure she left me better

So sorry, hope the damage on the car is not too much, if it was some drivers now, they would have transferred aggression from hell on the rider

BAZ001:

Baba no need to scratch my car again , your agents don help you. 2 people hit my car one -once and second guy hit it twice. I didn’t bother to go out cos it was late in the night. Rider was asking me why I didn’t go down to check , I told him it’s too late and what will happen if I go seeing we ve been in traffic for more than 20mins.
I just pity my low mileage Camry but void never to go to abule egba again in the night.

my sister, dis people shock meeeeee,

I didn’t know that they are people who dislike good things, and also those that hate anyone who try to make things easy for them

no wonder life for Nigeria hard, bcus they appreciate people who make things difficult for them, and castigate those who try to make things easy for them.
pocohantas:

Sorry i don’t do card trips
i don’t do transfer
i don’t do take me to ATM to withdraw

i pay cash, i do cash

if i have different stop i need to make, i discuss all my stops with driver before i even enter into the vehicle, from my first stop to my final destination

if i don’t know the exact area of my destination, i discuss with driver, and only one driver has ask me to change distinction on the app bcus he knows the location very well

all riders are not evil

and yes i am using the app the right way. bcus i make my pickup very easy and smooth for any driver picking me up

Peace.

if someone like you book a ride today as a rider, i sorry for the driver when go pick u up that day

deedee44:

That function is for if you want to request for someone, the app is designed in such a way that you don't need to stress yourself pointing to where you are.
You said you can't set your house as a pickup point, may I ask why? Because as a driver I prefer to pick you from your house. I'm always at alert when someone requests and stays by the roadside, it's a red flag cuz that's what all those riders doing fake transfer do so you won't be able to trace them.
So I still think you're using the app wrongly sir cheesy grin

it was still this thread drivers where complaining that rider want them to be picking them up from their bedrooms, them see who dey go junction go wait for them, it becomes a problem too

what do bolt drivers really want from riders?

pocohantas:

Some of us have conscience. We know the road to our houses are terrible, so we rather come meet you at the good part of the road. You should appreciate us. lipsrsealed

Dis life do what works for you, your truth is not someone else truth

yes since i stop calling more than 15 months ago, drivers have been calling, yes my last 2 rides on bolt are with drivers who have completed over 7500 trips on the platform.

this is call records from drivers of my last two rides, is 20 secs call or 40 sec call that will make me taste medicine, and which medicine exactly?

Inside life

Felicity001:

Leave that guy I told him earlier that soon he'll have a taste of his own medicine but he doesn't seems to understand what I meant.

Sabi him dey prepare to become a bolt driver?

Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by spartacus11(m): 8:40pm On Sep 12, 2021
Do they refund the commission if you prove you didn’t embark on said trip?

and how do you prove that trip didn’t happen

deedee44:

When rider calls immediately and cancels immediately after the call they don't deduct commissions. But if driver calls commission will be deducted immediately. Speaking from my own experience
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by spartacus11(m): 1:05pm On Sep 12, 2021
that is somehow na, that a driver made a call does not mean the trip must happen, or it’s like the money they charge is not much?

davit:
Theor system detects that. So, once you make a call, you can the trip counts immediately.
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by spartacus11(m): 10:55am On Sep 12, 2021
image for reference purposes, didn’t want to display my location reasons for the unnamed road

what is this function on Bolt for?

Nor be every rider, driver dey wait for, but na every driver, rider dey wait for.

so i don’t see any reason why rider & driver can’t make way to pickup point, and arrive almost same time

Bolt calculate an estimated time driver will arrive, and you think i can’t get to pickup point before driver?

i can set my house as a pickup point, but i don’t rather i use business or church landmark in my junction as pickup point, that is me even helping the driver not to drive into street

u think say na me like trekking pass wen dey decide to trek go junction go wait for driver

No matter wat u do, Nigerians must always talk

deedee44:

When you request a ride you're supposed to stay there and wait for driver to come and pick you, you're not supposed to start walking towards any main road, so moving away from PU is even more reason you should call driver to inform him of your waka.
You're using the app wrongly grin

the moment driver calls, that is when i start checking the app to see his or her movement. the reason i don’t call are all over post above and previous page,

Driver calls- where are you

Me- i give a landmark of where i am standing, if i am a little far from the main road, i tell them the street i am walking out from, that i am walking towards the road.

deedee44:

You don't even bother to check on your app whether driver is on his/her way or not?
I don't call riders till I get to pickup location unless it's a trip close to my heart grin

oga No medicine to taste ohhh, you don’t call after a certain time i cancel, taxi plenty ohhh, driver for wait make i buy data subscription for he phone make he take accept my ride.

i am always on the road or walking towards the main road each time i book a ride, i don’t sit in my bedroom waiting for driver

Felicity001:

You go wait tire for me be that.

You request and don't call? I won't move an inch unless I'm less than 100m away, still won't call you.

No be you request ride? Why should I be the one to call you?

I be customer agent?

If you're late you'll call
If your appointment is serious to you you will call

You don't call means you're not ready to move so I simply arrive then wait 5min and if you still don't call I simply cancel... No time!

Don't worry, you'll taste a dose of your own medicine very soon.grin

How can a rider check his ratings, i want to check mine

BAZ001:

You sound like dem jazebel riders from
1 reporting drivers
2. No bad records with bolt but probably bad records with drivers. The day I told a lady dt I was almost not going on the trip cos of bad ratings she was shocked that drivers do rate too.

I’m interested in your ratings ?
Can you please tell us your ratings to support your bragging?

In our quest to hit 1M we avoid bad riders from their ratings
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by spartacus11(m): 10:44am On Sep 10, 2021
Me i don’t call drivers ohhh, i let them do the calling

i stop calling last year

but i give them a little bit of time to reach out, bcus some drivers may be on a trip they are almost ending.

after like 5-10 minutes if i don’t hear from the driver i cancel.

truthsayer009:

Since I am the one calling the driver, if i don't have airtime to use, will i be calling the driver? Why are they trying to save my airtime instead of proper communication.

A proper communication is always better. "Ah, OGA i no dey go that side, traffic too much" and tell me to cancel.

Also i don't have any bad record with Bolt as a rider, not a single one of them.
