Also add that it generates relatively more heat when used to power inductive loads like motors, fridges, ACs.. Etc Besides generating more heat any other downside using modified sine wave to power fridge. |

200watts poly cost 30k each. For the fact that an inverter is modified sine wave does not mean it can't power heavy loads, it only means the quality of its output power or wave quality is not purely sinusoidal. This can only be detected by some highly sensitive loads like computers etc. I have used a modified wave inverter to power Air Conditioner.
Many thanks sir Wow so it can work well powering a fridge, without the fridge developing faults later? Throw little more insight on it biko |

NiyiOmoIyunade: My Oga.
The CC is capped at ~100amps battery output. I have a 48v battery system with max charge voltage set to 52.5volts ergo I can only process about 5,250watts of power through the CC per time despite having a 7.7kw array attached.
Benefit is that I see 80-90amps through the CC before 11am.
To the second part of your question, you have/plan 8,900w mounted for a conventional 48v battery system charging between 56v to 59v, you can only process about 6000w through the CC - at peak power you have to consider that you have ~3kw of panels just sitting outside and cooking in the sun, they are contributing nothing to the house loads. To put it technically correct, such a huge PV array would never operate at the maximum efficiency possible.
Hence, it may make sense to buy a second smaller CC and move some of the array to it. 6kw PV on the MPPT 250v/100A and 3kw PV on say an MPPT 150v/45A seems like a sweet spot. You get max solar juice at all times and the CCs work less.
I sometimes struggle to justify a use case for the Victron MPPT 250v/100A because of the very high price The only reason I have one is that I bought and sold some surplus inventory that came at a 30% discount and then kept a few units for myself
I still have the MorningStar CC for sale at 220K please - brand new MPPT 60A in factory packaging
Please Sir at the Bolded can you connect two different solar panel and CC to a single battery bank, or you need to have a separate battery bank. In laymans terms please |

At higher volts..smaller current flows tru the cable...and vice versa....so sending at higher volts enables you use thinner wire..
Same principle why nepa transmits at high tension/voltage, we have 33,000volts, and higher for the national grid.this way immense amount of power is transmitted at negligible losses at extremely high voltages, which is now gradually stepped down at or close to consumption areas. Those giant pylons carry 132,000volts if not higher
Morning star 60amps pwm cc cost 198 dollars, same morning star 60amps mppt cost 600usd. The Pwm operates at about 60v max. The Mppt operates at 150v max. The extra 400usd in cost is basically cos of this flexibilty in max input viltage
For solar calculations, using 3% loss and lower is a preffered optimal design factor than 5% I appreciate thanks |

For 12V system (panels in parallel), the 10mm is the required cable
For 24V system (panels in series), even a 4mm cable can serve. But use 6mm
Both cases are at 5% loss
Cheers Thanks a lot. I have a question Parallel (More Amps) Series (More Volts) What is the advantages of having lesser Amp with more Volts (Panel Series) connection And what is also the advantages of having more Amps with lets Volts (Panel Parallel) connection Or they are actually no different if i am using MPPT charge controller Throw some insight on it please CC essegis ClickSis |

Using this size of wire for stated installation is a gross overkill.
You have to provide your system details like nomimal voltage (12V vs 24V), distance of panels from CC, type of CC (PWM vs MPPT) to get a reliable response.
Cheers! Makeskyblue MPPT 40A or 60A Distance 16 yards or 15 meters it can be less but not more 12v or 24v it can be either |

Timtim8989: Let me say this clearly, it is very difficult to get a job without an agent now because of covid 19 issues.
I didnt get mine through one but i had spent over 300k naira on transport, cv printing and other related charges before the lockdown.
I was almost settling for an agent before a way opened. Please and please, prepare very well, do all necessary things. A guy saw a security job recently with benhindi group, they requested for attested certificate plus 11k aed. He had to send his certificates back to Nigeria.
A lot of things will be opened to you here when you come no matter what we tell you here. Jobs are so inconsistent, salaries are owed etc Our history here is getting scary, Filipinos are most sought with high preference. I was almost discouraged before i came here too, i had ielts band 7, m.sc , 8yrs field experience but no one will look at it because i was from Nigeria. Stylishly, i found a way out. Our brothers here too are not helping matters always find a way to extort freshers.
Few tips: Stay in Dubai Go to companies and request to see HR if the company has an agent who supplies them. If yes, meet with such recruiting firm. Most do thorough interview while some will just ask few questions and demand for commission.
Download MOURJAN app and put your profile as a fresher willing to do any job. Owners of company will call themselves and discuss salary with you.
It is not a smooth journey anyways. What else?, Pray and commit everything to God.
N:B This agent thing in the UAE is not peculiar to job recruitment, projects, labor supply, contracts etc also tow this path. Many a times, there is always an intermediary involved who demands some token for services rendered.
Have a nice day. Oya na as he be like this so the best job for dubai now na agent work ohhh, since nearly everything need agent to run So the search now should be how to be a genuine agent in dubai 1 Like |

Hi Ojeysky,
To an extent, yes.... But there are wide differences. I used to have a Table-Top (student) fridge rated 75W. Every single time the fridge is starting, it pulls around 800/900W...not kidding. Even my 1.5KVA/24V Mopower Inverter beeps. I've run it for over 10hrs,yet it kicks in at over 500W...
My present Inverter fridge cruises from around 20W and gradually reaches the 78W max. It starts coming down after like 5-12hrs. Stabilizes at around 30W after 14hrs.
For the bolded, that's the whole point. Why would it lose power, if you're looking at inverter fridge? With inverter fridge, it's best to run it 24/7. The only periods I cut off power is when there's rain and it comes with Lightning and thunder. I usually do a total isolation of my inverter system, since the house I'm staying doesn't have either a Lightning/thunder arrestor or even grounding for me to use a SPD. Even if the power loss lasts for about 3hrs, after powering the fridge back, it doesn't go above 55W and within 1hr, it stabilizes back to around 30W...
Ahhhh this is what i need ohhhh. |

You're right earthrealm... Same observation with mine. After recently upgrading my system, I left my inverter fridge (rated 55W) permanently ON, through a socket-plug energy meter...
Initially consumes around 78W.... After like 12hrs, it drops to 55W... After 14hrs,it drops to 32W.... And further drops to 30W after 15hrs.
Even when it knocks off, when it comes back On, it stays at 30W. And that's where it has been since.. Just hovering around 30W. Sometimes 28W.
There were very few times though, I've noticed the fridge would be On, due to the compressor sound, but the meter is reading less than 10W...
But before the upgrade, I run it from 8am to around 6pm.... Always runs around 78W-62W.
So,yeah... Inverter fridges are best left permanently ON
Please which fridge is this Model number and the brand 1 Like |
