"The unfortunate incident has caused widespread shock, grief, and concern. I commend Oyo State Government for working closely with the relevant authorities in investigating the cause of the incident and for providing support to those affected.

A gubernatorial aspirant under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 elections, Hon. Olayinka Oladimeji Segelu has reiterated his support for the call on the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to vie for the presidential seat in 2027.

Ten persons were confirmed dead by the police with eight others said to have sustained different degrees of injuries.

His statement reads: “It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that I received news of the tragic building collapse that occurred in the Jegede Olunloyo locality of Ona Ara Local Government Area (LGA). The loss of ten precious lives and the injuries sustained by many others is a heart-wrenching tragedy that has cast a shadow over our town.

“I commend the Oyo State Fire Service for their swift response, particularly Chief Fire Superintendent Jimoh and his team, who demonstrated remarkable courage in rescuing survivors from the rubble. Their efforts, along with those of local residents who acted heroically, exemplify the spirit of Ibadan in times of crisis.

A policeman has been accused of having carnal knowledge of a minor female suspect in police custody in Edo State.
An X user, Ob! Alus!, made the allegation on X, attaching a video of the moment the policeman was allegedly busted.

The video shows the policeman in a camouflage top with no trousers or underwear.

His male genitals are visible (censored) as he quickly grabbed his trousers while being challenged by a woman who, apparently, was the same person recording the scene.

The policeman makes unsuccessful attempts to knock the phone off the hand of the lady as he tries to quickly get dressed.

The underaged suspect is seen lying face down on a sofa in the room.

The X user who exposed the case also posted a picture of Uzuobor with a beautiful woman who is believed to be his wife.

He also attached other pictures of the policeman fully dressed up as an armed member of the Nigeria Police Force.

Netizens have tagged the police authorities who are yet to respond at the time of filing this report.
