We are drawing closer to the end of 2016. The curtains of 2016 will soon draw down to close the year and usher in a new year.

While 2016 wasn't easy for some smartphone brands just a few of them got the sweet portion of what the year could offer.

With the faces of phones I am seeing being prepared for next year, there will be a real and epic battle between brands who topples the league and who gets relegated.

I have this feeling that next year is going to be the year technology and innovations will take on a significant transformation into that future we’ve always dreamt about.

Note: Approach this list with caution, these smartphones are beasts and their specifications can eat you up and drive you crazy.

Few weeks back I posted about the Newest Version Of VLC media player coming with a Support for 360-degree videos.

The VLC 360° technical preview is now available and it lets you view both 360° videos and photos. That means from now on you will be able to play the spherical video formats in your Windows and Mac computers. Vlc states that it will soon make this feature available for other platforms like Android, iOS and Xbox One.

Meanwhile, the feature will not be available in the older version i.e. the app with the 2.x.x version numbers.

In this post I will be teaching you how to use the new VLC 360° video Media player to watch and enjoy 360- degree videos and photos.

Because 360- degree videos are still not rampant and you might be among the numerous people that still don’t have access to any of them, the VLC 360° technical preview page also contains a link to a 360-degree video you can download to check out the experience until you can get your hands on your desired 360-degree videos.

First of all, you need to download the 360-degree VLC player. You can do that by following the link below.

Select your platform Mac or Windows and download from There.

Ones downloaded Locate it and install the program like you would install any other app. The installer will ask you for an upgrade from your old version of VLC to this new one.

One thing you need to have in mind is that this is a technical preview version and more upgrades are soon to come. Once you upgrade your player, you will get VLC Media Player with the version number 3.0.0-git Vetinari

Simply open the video in the 360° VLC player Technical Preview and you will be able to pan around by clicking and dragging your mouse over the video. There are different display modes as well—Zoom, Little planet, and Reverse little planet.

Unlike 360-degree videos that are currently not easily available for everybody, the 360-degree photo are very much available. It takes only a reasonably good phone to capture a 360° photo. You can view the photos and videos easily on your mobile device or on YouTube but media players have not yet caught up with this new video format. VLC however is ahead of the pack.

Because VLC is the first mainstream media player to support 360-degree videos and photos out of the box that makes it simply the best media player you can ever have installed on your windows or Mac OS.

This interesting feature is to be merged with VLC 3.0 final release. But until then, this is just a technical preview version. Look forward to VLC 3.0 release.

With the coming of the new apple flagship iPhone 7 smartphone line, iPhone users gets an increased storage space which extends up to 256GB. You can either get the 16GB version, 32GB, 64GB variants on lower iPhone devices, but only the iPhone 7 comes with the tremendous 256GB with the 16GB variant scrapped.

So bad, the increase in storage space comes an increase in the price of an iPhone device. Meaning, the price you will get an iPhone device highly depends on the internal storage capacity.

Owning an iPhone that has a high storage space is not meant for the weak in pocket. So for those of us that are currently using an iPhone and could only afford the small storage versions, what are we going to do when our small 16GB or 32GB isn’t enough to contain our files.


Unlike iOS’s closest competitors, the Androids, where most of the smartphones running on that OS can contain an external storage space that is extendable up to 128GB, the iPhone only comes with its internal storage and that’s all.

If you’re running low on space and you can delete any more of your files because almost all of them are just so important to you and also you can’t afford to buy an iPhone with more storage space, there’s a quick way to free up some space instantly without uninstalling or deleting any of your important apps or files.

Head to iTunes and try to download an app that its size is very big. This app must have a size bigger than the remaining free space on your iPhone.
As you are downloading it, head straight to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Available. Here, you’ll see that your storage space will be going up and down, and eventually the size of each application should start reducing.


Allow the download to be complete then you go and delete it or uninstall it. Doing this alone will boost your free storage space to at least contain a few more important files, somebody went from 700MB available free storage space to 2.29GB free storage space.

This will work because, iOS apps maintain a cache which includes so many files. Individually, an average app’s cache isn’t big but if you have one too many apps with even a moderate cache, you will be losing storage space to it.

When downloading a large app and your iPhone is currently lacking on space to fit the new app into, iOS attempts to make room for it by deleting app caches. This is where the free space comes from. You can delete the app you’ve downloaded because, at first you never needed it and there’s no harm done. Even if you don’t need the space for more apps, clearing app caches will likely speed your phone up a bit.

Unlike Android devices in which you can manually clear apps caches. It’s so unfortunate that there’s no way for users to manually delete app caches in iPhone devices.

Cashflow –
This is simply defined as the income coming into your pocket. Its source can be through your salary, investment or whatever that can put money into your pocket and make it yours.

Expenses –
This refers to the money being spent. This is your money that is leaving your pocket into another person’s pocket. The money you spend in buying things, paying for things and services rendered to you. The output.

Asset –
An asset refers to anything that you purchased with your cash flow and putting that thing into good use the thing turned out yielding money for you. In order words, an asset is an expense turned cash flow. A house can be an asset to you if you bought or built it and then you rented it out. By so doing it is generating money for you on monthly basis.

Liability –
A liability tried to be almost like an asset but missed it way because instead of yielding money for you just like an asset will do, a liability makes you spend. Examples of a liability is a car, the house you bought to live in can be a liability to you if it is a mortgage and you have to pay your bank for it. your smartphone and so many other things that sucks up the cash inside your pocket without putting any back inside.

1. The poor
2. The Middle Class

Here is how these individuals got to find themselves in their various financial stratum. This is the reason why in a typical society populated by human beings, the poor will continue to remain poor no matter how hard they try, pray and wish to leave that stratum. The middle class will continue moving forward and backward without making any meaningful difference in his financial status while the rich will continue getting richer.

The poor:
When referring to the poor here, I am not referring to the destitute. I am referring to those individuals that live from paycheck to paycheck. So many of us can actually relate to this group.

On payday, the poor earn a specific amount of money which is small when compared to the other individuals hanging out from the other strata. They spend this little money they’ve earned buying stuff, stuff here is a financial term which refers to those things that you don’t actually need to survive. The poor spend their little cash flow on this stuff because they are cheap and less expensive. Before the salary alert beeps on a poor man’s payday, he has already planned out numerous stuff he is going to spend it on leaving little or nothing to live on or save.


Poor people fail to educate themselves on assets and liabilities. They go about buying stuff on the ground and justification that they are cheap and inexpensive.
But over the years, the stuff is the only thing they can show they ever had. Their cashflow really never produces any means for another cash flow.

The middle Class:
These set of individuals appear rich, they are the ones that people mistake to be rich but they are actually living by the moment. They remain in this stratum, moving forward and backward because of the things they buy, they cage themselves inside the things they buy because they buy liabilities.

Their cash flow is higher than the poor man’s cash flow and they don’t spend their money on petty stuff instead they lavish it on expensive things like, houses, cars and all other things you can think of that will only allow them to look rich but doesn’t in any way bring in cash back into their pockets.

You can find this type of people among the Doctors, lawyers and so on. They educate themselves so as to exchange their knowledge for people’s money. Their life is just running round an imaginary circle of work. They work for hours, earn a fat check by the end of the month and spend it on expensive things. They rarely see the time to rest or do some other things in life because any hour spent away from work is money been missed.

The Rich:
People often get the definition of a rich man wrong. People think a rich man is the one that drives the hottest cars, or lives in the biggest and head spinning mansions. But a rich man is actually the man that possess the knowledge to make his cashflow work for him. He is the one that sees business opportunities, he is the one that sees everything around him and tries to figure out how he can put his money around to make him more money.

How To Get Rich Quick Before The End of 2016

To become rich is not by luck, it is not a misery it is just a formula. One of the reasons people have remained in their poor state is that they’ve not educated themselves or they are not applying the formula for creating wealth.

If you want to become rich, acquire assets that produce cash flows for you, reinvent the wheel by using the money from the cash flow to acquire another asset to produce another means of cash flow.

A few examples of assets include Stocks, bonds, real estate and education.

The rich spend their money purchasing these cash generating assets. Especially those assets that generate passive income.

Warren Buffett is among the top 3 richest men in the whole world and his first business started when he bought a pin ball machine and placed it in a barber’s shop. This machine generated money for him even when he is not around, sleeping or away from the town.

The rich has the ability to discover business opportunities that they can invest their cash flows inside. To be able to discover this cash generating opportunities your head need to be clear and your ears open to hear them because they are everywhere.


Ones you find them, you must be able to choose the one that fits you best and take actions immediately. These opportunities are out there you just need to find them and then be opportunistic enough to take actions.

Finally, avoid the temptation of been a poor man who spends his cash flow by buying stuff or the middle-class man who buys liabilities to appear rich but in reality, he is just dangling to and fro the financial pendulum.

Instead, be the Rich man who spends his cash flows acquiring assets and re-inventing the wheel by acquiring more assets. To be able to do this, you have to make sure your cash flow produces another cash flow multiple times before you can spend the first cash on reasonable expenses. Spend wisely, don’t buy things you don’t need.

By doing this, you will get rich quickly even if not before the end of this year, but you will be on your path to wealth

The iPod is a line of portable media players produced and Marketed by Apple Inc.

The first version was released on October 23, 2001. That day was the 8th month and 15th day after iTunes (Macintosh version) was released.

Steve Jobs announced the first iPod as a Mac-compactible product with 5GB hard drive that put 1,000 songs in your pocket. But before the event, something happened behind closed doors between Steve Jobs and Apple’s Engineers who produced the iPod.

When engineers working on the very first iPod completed the prototype, they presented their work to Steve Jobs for his approval. Jobs played with the device, scrutinized it, weighed it in his hands, and promptly rejected it. It was too big.

The engineers explained that they had to reinvent inventing to create the iPod and that it was simply impossible to make it any smaller. Jobs was quiet for a moment. Finally, he stood, walked over to an aquarium, and dropped the iPod in the tank. After it touched bottom, bubbles floated to the top.

“Those are air bubbles,” he snapped. “That means there’s space in there. Make it smaller.”

Some Genius Brains Still Exist On Planet Earth.........

It all began with a 28-year-old man by namein Oakland, California, he is an avid web developer and i must say, a genius if he can be able to make the internet world reverberate as it did few days ago by disrupting web development around the world after deleting 11 lines of code.

The story of how 28-year-old Azer Koçulu briefly broke the internet shows how writing software for the web has become dependent on a patchwork of code that itself relies on the benevolence of fellow programmers. When that system breaks down, as it did last week, the consequences can be vast and unpredictable.
“I think I have the right of deleting all my stuff,” Koçulu wrote on March 20 in an email that was later made public.
Bam!!!! And then he did it.

Let Me Tell You The Story………

Koçulu had been publishing code he wrote to npm, a popular service that’s widely used to find and install open-source software written in JavaScript. It has become an essential tool in web development, invoked billions of times a month, thanks to npm’s ease of use and its enormous library of free code packages contributed by the open-source community.
“I’m a self-taught high school graduate who learn almost everything, thanks to open source community,” Koçulu, who was born in Turkey, wrote in an email to Quartz. “I owe everything I have to the people who never gave up with open source philosophy.”

and the problem began.

One of the open-source JavaScript packages Koçulu had written was kik, which helped programmers set up templates for their projects. It wasn’t widely known, but it shared a name with Kik, the messaging app based in Ontario, Canada.

On March 11, Koçulu received an email from Bob Stratton, a patent and trademark agent who does contract work for Kik [the messaging app company].

Stratton said Kik was preparing to release its own package and asked Koçulu if he could rename his. “Can we get you to rename your kik package?” Stratton wrote.
“Sorry, I’m building an open source project with that name,” Koçulu wrote back.
The conversation quickly escalated, with Stratton threatening legal action: “We don’t mean to be a dick about it, but it’s a registered trademark in most countries around the world and if you actually release an open source project called kik, our trademark lawyers are going to be banging on your door and taking down your accounts and stuff like that — and we’d have no choice but to do all that because you have to enforce trademarks or you lose them.”
“Hahah, you’re actually being a dick,” Koçulu replied. “So, Bleep you. Don’t email me back.”

Stratton offered to pay for the name, and Koçulu suggested $30,000 “for the hassle of giving up with my pet project for bunch of corporate dicks.” now It was clear the two men weren’t going to reach an agreement.

The company called npm is based, like Koçulu, in Oakland. Though a for-profit enterprise, npm runs its eponymous registry of open-source software for free and has a mission of fostering open-source JavaScript development. The company generates revenue from private services for code that isn’t open-sourced, it is just a business model similar to GitHub.
Stratton brought Kik’s request for the name to npm, again citing the company’s trademark and potential confusion. Isaac Schlueter, the chief executive of npm, agreed to turn the name over to the company.
“In this case, we believe that most users who would come across a kik package, would reasonably expect it to be related to kik.com,” Schlueter wrote to Stratton and Koçulu on March 18. “In this context, transferring ownership of these two package names achieves that goal.”
When Koçulu and Isaac Schlueter talked “I know you for years,” Koçulu said, “and would never imagine you siding with corporate patent lawyers threatening open source contributors.”

To Koçulu, npm’s decision to transfer ownership of the kik package to Kik ran counter to the values of the community it serves. In his reply, Koçulu said he wanted all of the packages he had registered on npm taken down. “I don’t wanna be a part of NPM anymore,” he wrote. “If you don’t do it, let me know, i know how do it quickly.”

Two days after Koçulu’s last email to npm, on March 22, JavaScript programmers around the world started receiving a strange error message when they tried to run their code. The issue was severe enough to keep some developers from updating apps and services that were already running on the web. The error spit out many lines, but one stood out:



It meant that the code they were trying to run required a package called left-pad, but the npm registry didn’t have it.
Most programmers had never heard of left-pad, but now, somehow, their code couldn’t run without it. To understand how this could happen, it’s important to understand that almost all software is built on top of another software, which also depends on another software.

Loading your own app might require a certain set of packages from npm, but those packages your app requires may require their own sets of packages, and so on. That’s one reason npm has become so popular, helping to manage those dependencies by maintaining all of the packages in one, reliable place.

By early evening, developers began congregating at the GitHub repository where left-pad was maintained. Most were confused because packages don’t usually disappear. This one was particularly perplexing because it was just 11 lines of straightforward code. Here is left-pad in its entirety:



That code can be used to add characters to the beginning of a string of text, perhaps a zero to the beginning of a zip code. It’s a single-purpose function, simple enough for most programmers to write themselves. But unfortunately Lots of npm packages, however, relied on left-pad to do it for them, which is how this tiny bit of code became so important.
Some of the largest, most widely used npm packages were suddenly broken. One of the affected packages, React, is used by major websites like Facebook, which created it, and a wide variety of smaller sites like Quartz’s own Atlas.

In the past month alone, more than a million people have downloaded React from npm. React didn’t require these 11 lines of code directly, of course. It depended on one set of packages, and each of those depended on another set, et cetera, and one of those branches eventually led to left-pad. And now, left-pad was gone. React stopped functioning properly.
