iamJ:If you are a graduate, then Buhari has a PhD. Bloody illiterate punk. It is crystal clear that you cannot for the live of you understand the concept described in the original post. |
iamJ:Your English language skill shows how poor you are. You must be an elementary school teacher and one with a "zombeic" mind living in abject penury. Live with it: this is the ERA of one-term presidents. BUHARI must go and so would ATIKU in 2023 if he toes Buhari's incompetent ways. |
milemimi93:Atiku is no more corrupt than Buhari. They are both thieves of different shades. How many delegates did APC have and how many voted "delegates" did they declare in the recent primary? Hypocrites. At least Atiku is a bit digital while PMB is completely analogue and outdated. |
I share this sentiment. Our politicians need to be put on their toes. It is shamefull it has to be either Buhari or Atiku, two corrupt and intellectually challenged (mis)leaders. |
"Nigeria should not be moving from step one (Buhari) to step two (Atiku). It needs leapfrogging from step one to step ten; a huge leap that neither Buhari nor Atiku have the capacity to muster, unfortunately. However, because for now it is either APC or PDP, I will support Atiku to be president of Nigeria in 2019 for ONLY one reason: the fact that country is UNWITTINGLY consolidating on ONE-TERM presidency: Jonathan one term, Buhari one-term (hopefully), Atiku one-term. Now they know they will be kicked out for failure after 4 years, they have no choice but to work hard to earn a second term. If DESPOT Buhari can be kicked out in 2019, kicking Atiku out in 2023 will be chicken change. Support Atiku to help evolve and consolidate Nigeria into an accountable, citizens-driven democracy where politicians have the possibility of ONE-TERM at the back of their minds." Raydos:It's better than Nigeria means what? Means you wanna still escape to the US illegally? Meanwhile, stop with the ignorant claims. US population is not 700 million. It is not even 350 million.

If Oklahoma schools look like these, what would West Virginia, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, and even Louisiana schools look like? |
Hope the teachers succeed

Think America is one great country with no rotten underbelly? Think again. But as a Nigerian, do not take solace in that realization. Please watch a video of state-wide schools in Oklahoma (OK). https://www.facebook.com/NowThisNews/videos/1890848987671883/ See the dirt, grime, filth, and overall state of decay in school facilities that are similar to what you see in Nigerian schools. The big difference though is that these are in elementary and high schools, while the rottenness in Nigerian schools extends to institutions of higher education (specifically public universities and polytechnics). Keep in Mind that OK ranks 48 out of 50 U.S. national school systems. So the 49th and 50th states would be worse than what you see in the video. Lesson learned: America is also bleeding, and do not always want to rush off to America for the now lost greener pasture. Mind44, Lalasticlala, please font page. Thanks |
Alariiwo:Your hatred and bile is consuming you. You can easily be seen through. |
VolvoS60:Thanks for understanding my drift. The world (in our case Nigeria) is such a big receptacle that would contain everyone. We only need to agree to live peacefully, harness our different energies and synchronize them to build and sustain our receptacle (society). For now, many individual Nigerians are making it, but the society is not. |
oooduancalmdown:Read the first post through the link. |
oooduancalmdown:You are indeed very funny. There was a racist white man who was a full blooded white supremacist. He did his DNA test and found out he was 16% black. He was said to have committed suicide thereafter. Be careful what you wish yourself for you may be in for a shocker. |
oooduancalmdown:Based on the name (ooduancalmdown) I am assuming you are Yoruba; please pardon me if you are not. So if you conduct your DNA test today and find out you have 25% Igbo DNA in you (assuming your parents are both Yoruba), how would you react? I am curious to know how that would affect your Yoruba nationalism. |
oooduancalmdown:But the Germans and Scots in Europe have historically never been in the same country; so no need to start doing so now. In contrast, Germans and Scots in the USA are in one country and live peaceably, to the glory of their country and race. Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa are in one country historically, but do not seem to be able to live peaceably. Hence, we have been stunted in growth and development for 50 years and counting. Why is that so? |
OlujobaSamuel:Lol. No be small thing. But there is enough reason for Nigerians to abandon-ethnicity induced struggles and treat people as individuals. Vote for good people regardless of where they are from and abandon bad leaders regardless of where they are from. White America consists mainly of English, German, Irish/Scottish, French, Italians, Dutch, Nordic, and Eastern European peoples. In their native European homelands these are different countries/peoples with different languages. But once in the Americas they all adopted English and closed their ranks, working together to dominate native Americans and enslave black people. If White America was divided along ethnic lines, it would not have gone this far. |
Sprumbabafather:If you discover what your fore-parents did in the past with other men or women, you will know you may have Yoruba DNA, even if you claim today to be Igbo or whatever. |
Imagine if Buhari does his ancestral DNA test and finds out that he has 30% Igbo genes? What would Igbos do? ![]() |
This American scientist pictured below, Dr. Rick Kittles (RK), has both Hausa and Igbo DNA in him. http://www.ebony.com/life/dr-rick-kittles-breaks-down-dna#axzz54vwchTeG If you have not done your ancestral DNA test you maybe in for a shocker when you do and discover that as an Igbo man (or Hausa or Yoruba) you have nearly 50% of the gene from the other ethnic group inside of you. You may be black or brown, and claim to be Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa, but do you really know who you are genetically? If we all do our DNAs we might find out that the ethnic fights we are all too interested in fighting is actually unneeded. The Fulani may be an exception, but there might be a lot in common with Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba, Ijaw, Ibibio, etc, than we see from the surface. On a different note, it would be interesting to know where the ancestral DNAs of fair-skinned Igbos (and there are many of them) emanated from. Could they be from white colonial masters sleeping with Igbo women back in the day?

MIKOLOWISKA:Are they not? Can a Nigerian living in the US vote? Can they be presidents and governors? |
MIKOLOWISKA:Not sure what you are arguing. What is a country without its people? |
MIKOLOWISKA:These degree holders are Nigerians in America, not Nigerians in Nigeria. Nigerians in Nigeria should fix their country for they live there and enjoy there. They can start with their votes at the local, state and federal elections. It is not the responsibility of Nigerians in America (who already send back billions to Nigeria) to fix Nigeria. Is that clear to you? |
As reproduced from a friend's Facebook page Are you a ''shitholer'' in America? I am 100% not. America is the greatest, most unique, and most opportunity-laden country in the world. How do I know that? I know because I have lived in Africa and Europe, and I have travelled to Canada, Asia and South America repeatedly. I am glad to be part of the American story and I am grateful for that. At the same time, I believe without a doubt that I have paid my dues in America since arriving the country nearly 10 years ago. I do not know about you, but I am originally an immigrant from Nigeria, a country with the following (below) statistics in the USA: Please visit the links and read the entire articles, for as they say in Nigeria, ignorance is a disease. ''Nigerian immigrants have the highest levels of education in America, surpassing whites and Asians, according to Census data bolstered by an analysis of 13 annual Houston-area surveys conducted by Rice University.'' ''Although they make up a tiny portion of the U.S. population, a whopping 17 percent of all Nigerians in this country held master's degrees while 4 percent had a doctorate, according to the 2006 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. In addition, 37 percent had bachelor's degrees.'' Details http://www.chron.com/…/Data-show-Nigerians-the-most-educate… ''According to 2006 census data, 37 percent of Nigerians in the U.S. had bachelor's degrees, 17 percent held master's degrees and 4 percent had doctorates. In contrast, the same census data showed only 19 percent of white Americans had bachelor’s degrees, 8 percent held master’s degrees and only 1 percent held doctorates, the paper reports.'' Details https://www.bet.com/…/survey-nigerians-most-educated-in-the… ''......Perhaps most surprising is that, by many measures, the most-educated immigrant group in the U.S. isn't East Asians. It’s Africans.'' ''According to Census data, more than 43 percent of African immigrants hold a bachelor’s degree or higher -- slightly more than immigrants from East Asia. Nigerian immigrants are especially educated, with almost two-thirds holding college degrees -- a significantly higher percentage even than Chinese or South Korean immigrants. African immigrants are also very likely to hold advanced degrees, many of which are earned at U.S. universities. By many measures, African immigrants are as far ahead of American whites in the educational achievement as whites are ahead of African-Americans.'' ''That education translates into higher household income. Nigerian-Americans, for instance, have a median household income well above the American average, and above the average of many white and Asian groups, such as those of Dutch or Korean descent.'' https://www.bloomberg.com/…/it-isn-t-just-asian-immigrants-… 'There are some black and Hispanic groups in America that far outperform some white and Asian groups. Immigrants from many West Indian and African countries, such as Jamaica, Ghana, and Haiti, are climbing America’s higher education ladder, but perhaps the most prominent are Nigerians. Nigerians make up less than 1 percent of the black population in the United States, yet in 2013 nearly one-quarter of the black students at Harvard Business School were of Nigerian ancestry; over a fourth of Nigerian-Americans have a graduate or professional degree, as compared with only about 11 percent of whites.' https://www.nytimes.com/…/o…/sunday/what-drives-success.html And wait for this, it's not just Nigeria but many other African countries as well; it's also not just collage/graduate-level contribution. Nigerians, %wise, also represent well at the high school level. See below. ''Of the African-born population in the US age 25 and older, 87.9% reported having a high school degree or higher,[27] compared with 78.8% of Asian-born immigrants and 76.8% of European-born immigrants, respectively.[28] Africans from Kenya (90.8 percent), Nigeria (89.1 percent), Ghana (85.9 percent), Botswana (84.7 percent), and Malawi (83 percent) were the most likely to report having a high school degree or higher.'' https://en.wikipedia.org/…/African_immigration_to_the_Unite… |
OmoEziokwu:Do the moderators even understand what is front page worthy material? |
RCGG most populous church on earth? Buhahaha BTW, Nigerian brand of Christianity and Nigerian pastors are mostly cash and carry (CC)-based. RCCG and Winners are on top of that CC pile. Fake pastors everywhere. |
6. Igbos are not patriotic:- Thanks to the obvious quota system dis- franchise, they're not a major owner in the state. And these are people blessed with technological knowhow ready to drive the country to the next level if incorporated. Can you explain this a bit more? Who is actually unpatriotic to the Nigerian state? Those who suppress fellow citizens or those who are suppressed? |
