Google to find out what happens to shares when companies 'change structure'. It could help you figure out if your money is redeemable or... gone!
I have done that but nothing I found indicates a specific case for Bank PHB. I am not in Nigeria to pursue my case physically, which is a disadvantage for me.
InvestmentBank PHB Shares by spectroscopic(op): 11:05pm On Dec 12, 2017
Hello

Does anyone know what has happened to shareholder's of Bank PHB? I have contacted both the company's registrars (First Registrars) and the succeeding bank to Bank PHB (KeyStone Bank). None of these institutions have any answers to what I can do with my share certificate. Or is my investment in Bank PHB gone to the winds? I invested in Bank PHB in 2008 and I did not receive a single dividend until the bank went under. Now I have a certificate of shareholding that appears worthless.

I need help with information, please.

Thank you very much Sir. I as an Abia citizen feels the pain also. The road in question is well known to me as it links Williams memorial college oloko. Be rest assured that I shall do whatever I can within my power to get the attention of the Honourable commissioner of works and the governor. Every Abian is aware that Dr Ikpeazu started almost at square one in this state.
For your information: The Nchara road is not the Oloko one that links Williams Memorial College. This one is in Nchara, linking to Umumkpeyi via Amachi Nsulu. Just send the commissioner the article he will know the location or ask questions. Would you like to follow up with me on this road matter?

For instance, an Igbo man has capital with which to invest. No land or seaport in Igboland to make access to goods easier. A Yoruba might not have capital to begin with .
What do you mean no land to invest in in Igboland? Are you kidding me or you are serious?
Even at that, the land he gets in SW, is it for free?

Does every Igbo business man really, I mean really, need a seaport to sell his goods? Can he not open a depot in Lagos/Ibadan/Kano/Kano while his factory is in Igboland? Is that not what Dangote has done? Is that not what Glo has done (HQ in Lagos and small phone offices in Igboland)?
PoliticsRe: See What This Igbo-American Top Shot Is Attracting To Nigeria by spectroscopic: 9:35pm On Feb 19, 2016
bokohalal:
Yes , they do. It is repatriated profits from other parts of Nigeria and beyond that is building up Igboland.
Before you make profit, you must have paid taxes, royalties, fees and levies to the authorities. And we know that Lagos State Govt is huge in collecting taxes from businesses located in its domain.

Before you make profit you must have paid your workers. Would it be out of place to say that most workers in Igbo-owned companies in Lagos would be Yorubas?

If an Igbo investor does all of these, what claims do you have the right to make regarding repatriating the left over? Keep in mind that the initial seed money used in investing in the business was not free money from a Yoruba govt. Its either a loan from a Bank with interests, or money from inheritance, etc

Besides, some of the examples that have been given on this thread are Igbos who do not run their businesses in Lagos. I am not sure Emeka Offor or Rochas has any business in Lagos/Ibadan, yet they dole out charities to those places. Do you care to explain these to me? Thanks

Factors of production. Capital, Land, proximity etc. They all have to be present.
I do not understand these claims. Do Igbos in Yorubaland get free capital from Yorubas to start their business?
Do they get free land to invest on?
Proximity to what? What raw materials are present/proximal in Yorubaland and used by Igbos in their production?

I would like to be enlightened on these. Thanks

The way the languages you mentioned allowed your people to flourish in their place unhindered, I dont think your people have created or given them that enabling environment or hospitality which commensurates what they have towards your people and their businesses. They're only giving or have given to society that made them.

The last line in your post says it all- you are just the perfect example of igbo man(save for rochas and ofor) .

The worst thing is, you people think Jesus is one of you; but you are just too bad as a people and Christians
.
All these claims and counter claims sef. How on earth does living in Yorubaland make an Igbo man rich? If living in Yorubaland is a ticket to being rich, I wonder why all Yorubas are not rich.

PoliticsGovernor Okezie Ikpeazu and Abia State by spectroscopic(op):
I wish to use this medium to congratulate Gov Okezie Ikpeazu on his victory at the Supreme Court.

One thing I have observed is that while Igbos are asking for equity in the governance of Nigeria, they have not set the exact example in their states. For example, Ngwa people have been marginalized in the governance of Abia since its creation in 1992 and up until now. For this reason alone, Gov Ikpeazu must be left alone by APC and APGA to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy and to have the peace of mind to represent the Ngwa people of Abia State in the governance of our state.

Aba needs serious infrastructural upgrade, as is the entire Abia State. There is increasing evidence that Ikpeazu is going to be a successful governor. And when that is the case, he must get a second term by popular state-wide acclaim. There is no time for unnecessary distractions from Otti and others; they must wait their turn.

Kudos to Gov Ikpeazu

All Abians must join hands in congratulating him and demanding that he delivers good governance as expected.

I am from Umuahia (non-Ngwa) and I approve this message.

You are an enemy indeed. No true biafran will post those silly questions here because the questions can only induce more mockery of Biafra agitators. Hypocrit.
Some would rather be mocked than be led by the nose to certain death. Let me ask you one question. Can you direct me to a blog where only Biafrans can participate in and ask these important questions without enemy interference? You are agitating for a country in this 21st century and you do not even have a dedicated presence on cyberspace? You are here on a Yoruba-owned forum hoping not to be mocked by them? How thick is your skin? If you cannot take mockery from an enemy, how can you take bullet from him? Dude, how old are you?
PoliticsRe: 10 Questions That Needs To Be Answered Before A Biafra Country by spectroscopic(op): 4:14pm On Nov 23, 2015
macfarland:
Well the agitation for Biafra is right and not against the law of any land. Biafra has protested in 102 countries so far plus Abuja Nigeria. It's simple a step in affirmation of right for self determination as enshrined in the United Nation charter. The new resolve for Biafra is total escalated by Buhari style of divide and rule system. GEJ in his wisdom ignore Nnamdi Kanu and went ahead to try to balance the heterogeneous country like Nigeria by holding a sovereign national conference which was successful. But Buhari in his military mentality and with the support of some Yorubas threw this report and implementation to the dust bin. Buhari appointment awakened the consciousness of most southerners that this is not one Nigeria. The feeling and resolved to get out of a country u are not considered in d the scheme of things became unquenchable for many in the south. It is no longer about oil. A lot people 'will say take the oil and give me Biafra' because Biafra now stands for freedom.... A sense of belonging. If a person want something u want to tell him to come to Abuja or Lagos something that can be gotten at his own backyard. Some government strategic jobs and portfolio are reserved for a particular section of country. Call a security meeting of the Nigerian nation today and u will see how the southeast are totally excluded from the army, Navy, airforce, SSS, police, common civil defense, etc. In the helm of affairs of the National oil for where? Where do u see Ibo people. This was d order of things in during the military rule. With the way things are right a Nigerian of Igbo extraction can never win an election in Nigeria nation meaning that an Igbo can never become President. What a way to isolate a people using a powerful orchestrated techniques of voters figure. Now in democracy GEJ tried to balance some of these injustice during his administration but Buhari government just turned a sleeping dog upside down in a democracy not considering the complexities of d Nigerian state. The quest for Biafra is seen as the only way out by its people both small and might... The youth and old. Those close to government circle like governors and ezes or the Ohanezes will never support Biafra in the public but d truth truth be told they are Biafra at heart and secretly. The Hausa Fulani will fight to kill... The Yorubas will hate and aid the Northerners.... Army will kill.... Police will maim.... Nnamdi Kanu may be killed.... Many may as well die... But d soul of Biafra will never die again. There is no going back. The fight for freedom will take a lot of struggle but not long for Biafra to come. It will happen like a dream to even the Biafrans. All hail Biafra!
Agreed. These points you raised are not in doubt; they are very germane. But can we now come down from our high heavens and discuss among Igbos how to actually get Biafra? Or do you believe these demonstrations will give you Biafra, something that war did not give you? Is it necessary at this point to ask for a referendum among Igbos (in Igboland, in Nigeria outside Igboland, and abroad) concerning this Biafra matter?

You can type whatever you like as your questions but the real biafrans will never divulge their secretes to you. Wait untill Biafra is restored, then you can laugh if the future of biafrans becomes worse than their past.
Interesting. You mean some Biafrans are keeping Biafran secrets from other Biafrans? This is a strange way of carrying everyone along in this fight. Many of those questions are actually open questions that need no secret. For example question 6. You can never achieve it without openly working with Nigerians to get your investments back.
PoliticsRe: 10 Questions That Needs To Be Answered Before A Biafra Country by spectroscopic(op): 3:38pm On Nov 23, 2015
Yes, the Biafra ''nonsense'' should stop, until:

1. The agitators tell who will be the President of Biafra and how the cabinet would be elected
2. The agitators tell how they plan to sustain Biafra at least in the first few years. What is the economy of the region as of today?
3. The agitators tell how much food reserves they have stored in silos located in Biafra land, and with which they will start feeding the millions that would be immediately displaced from Nigeria
4. The agitators tell how many emergency hospitals/clinics they have erected to cater for the health needs of the returnees
5. The agitators tell how they plan to create jobs for the millions of Biafrans who will certainly be chased out of Nigeria by Nigerians
6. The agitators tell what they would do to recover the billion dollar(s)-worth properties and investments of Igbos in non-Igbo parts of Nigeria when they are chased out of Nigeria by Nigerians
7. The agitators tell how they plan to defend their territory should the Nigerian government not yield to a peaceful concession to a Biafran country
8. The agitators tell what they would do to prevent Biafra from being a stagnant country, a sleeping giant, like the present Nigeria
9. The agitators tell how they plan to deal with all corrupt past and present Igbo leaders, and why they have not dealt with them up till now.
10. The agitators tell that they are not hoping to forcefully incorporate those who are not willing to be in Biafra (example non Igbos in the Eastern axis Nigeria)

If the agitators cannot answer these simple 10 questions, how then do they hope to run a Biafran country, with such high expectations from everyone?
This is not time for showcasing how brawny you are; instead, it is time to show how brainy and strategic you are. What lessons were learned from the first Biafran outing?

To an extent because of lack of unity/cohesion among the masses. The politicians understand this and are specifically exploiting it thereby making the need for a revolution essential.

Ever wondered why only Igbos went to war ?

Why only Yoruba went on the street 4 June 12 ?
Do you know as we speak fuel prices will always be higher in the North so when you protest increase in the south they see no reason to ?

Do northerners want Job health education etc

Do the southerners want quota sharia etc ?

How many state will stone their senator/ex governor without sentiment or ethnicity coming to play ?

Until these wants are bridged from the West North and East the masses can not win a revolution that would save this country.
The issues are indeed too multifold to touch. I wish Nigerians of different ethnicities, religion and ideologies were not grouped together in one country in the first place. But now that we are here, 50 years and counting, what do we do? Is separation the best option?

there is something you fail to understand, even a family of blood siblings they are fighting and quarreling but do you know what? After fighting and quarreling they sit down and reconcil an igbo adage says that *iwe nwanne anaghi elu na okpukpu* that means that the quarrels of siblings don't go to the extent of keeping malice forever.... I better live forever and fight sometimes with a person who have the same religion, similar culture and the same food and attire and maybe different language... Than to live with someone with strange religion, strange culture, strange foods, attire and language... We can never be one, we can only pretend to be, but definitely we can never relate in trust... #DIVIDEnigeria
OK oh! I know one brother can fight another. But please kindly show me which other country people (communities, not individuals) that speak the same Language fight each other every now and then. There was a recent (in late 2000s) internecine war in Ebonyi State among the Ezzas and another Igbo-Ebonyi subgroup. These are not good signs, no?
