EducationRe: I Have Been Withdrawn From Medical School. I Can't Tell My Parents by Speed123: 12:45am On Jun 04, 2020
Let me also share a similar but worse case than yours.
I got admission to study medicine in Unical in year 2000. I did my 100level by 200level ASUU went on very long national strike that lasted upto 3months or more.
When the strike was called off, the medical college immediately fixed the 2nd MBBS exams of my senior colleagues. They protested that they needed time to prepare for the exam since they hardly read at home during the strike. The college refused and that led to a serious altercation between the students and the medical college.
In order for the college to get back at the students they decided to rescreen everyone and the yardstick to pass the screening was for your name to be in the merit list, anything short of that you are out of Unical.
The truth is 80% of medicine & surgery students then came in via 2nd list and runs....I for myself paid about 35k then to work my admission into medical school.
I was screen out, all the exams I wrote in 200level I never saw the results. Some of my friends stayed back and wrote another JAMB. But I took the BOLD STEP to inform my Dad of the bad news, it was heartbreaking but we all got through it.
I didn't apply for medicine again, today I am a graduate of Economics and I will soon complete my masters.
After that incident I came to discover that I didn't have the calling to be a medical doctor because I can't stand the sight of blood or an open wound. God saved me from making that mistake.
My advice for you, go home bro. Pray and be bold enough to tell your parents, tell them the whole truth, don't hide anything. They would be the ones who would be comforting you.
Trust me nothing will happen to your father, give him hope, show him that you are ready to take the next step that your spirit and determination is still high.
Another advice, forget medicine, take up courses on ICT, computer software, programming, all that.
You can also go for Geophysics, it's a hotcake for oil companies that do drilling and exploration.
Pray about it and God will give you direction on what course to study but the clue is to follow your passion.

Help! My Sister Is Seeing Her Period The Second Time This Month

Please Doctors in the house, my younger sister is seeing her period for the second time just this May.

She confided in me so I promised to ask questions.

She's 21 years of age.

She saw her period on the 4th of this May and today being 20th, she's seeing it again.

Although before she saw her first period, she was recovering from Malaria and that means she was on drugs.

Please this is a serious issue and it's giving me concern.

She has been staying with me in my house since the lockdown started and I can verge for her.

Please your kind advice is needed.

She may have taken too much of sugar after her last period. Most ladies like my cosin in the house usually experience such, anytime she takes or eats very sugary things, it triggers her period even if she's expecting it in 2weeks, it will just come immediately.
So don't be alarmed, she's ok.
FamilyRe: My Brother On Hard Drugs: 18 Years Of Pains And Sorrow. I Need Help! by Speed123: 2:38am On May 20, 2020

God is not mocked. What a man/ woman sow, that they will reap. Ask ur mum and dad what they did wrong. There must be something evil they had done that is affecting ur 42 yr brother. The bible said, train up a child in d way that he should grow and when he is old he will not depart from it. They where sparing the rod on him and now spoilt
Which God are you refering to?
So when something bad happens to a child you assume God is punishing the child because of the parents sins.
How can a God who has long forgiven your sins by dying on the cross go to punish an innocent person?
My advice they should loose or give up hope on him, keep believing and praying for him, take him back for treatment and rehabilitation.
And remember that most times God shows up when we have exhausted our options, I see God restoring your brother back to normal.
RomanceRe: I Have A Serious Problem Concerning My Relationship With Women. by Speed123: 3:12am On May 16, 2020
The truth is this, Nobody can help you, no psychologist, no doctor not even you can help change who you are now.
Only one person can, He is Jesus. He has already forgiven you all you ever did, all you need to do is Believe that He died, was buried and resurrected for your justification.
If you believe this and confess Him as Lord over your life, you are born again and God will give you a brand new life. His Spirit will be at work in You and will help you live the God kind of life.
Trust me I was worst than you but Jesus made the difference and I am a living testimony.
Lemme know if you need more insight, God bless you.
