Use the non- customer contact form on the website of the bank. Remember to fill ur date of birth and date u sent the documents in this format 11.04.1940.

The new things is that you need to have a delivery package bag/envelope. There is a FedEx guy outside the embassy.
You will pay the courier guy and give him your house address, then he will fill it and give you the package bag. The VO will collect the bag before she start the interview with you.

My interview is hrs away and i forgot to get the self addressed envelope from a well known courier company. Is the fedex guy always outside the German Consulate in the morning

Put your Tax ID/PIN, Passport Number or Student in the space and see what will happen next.

Confirmed from a friend. The FIRS wont give u a tax number unless you are working.Seems like my two options now are

1. Write my passport number or
2. The number on my drivers license

So the only way to contact them is by filling an online contact form for Non customers which doesn't give one the option of asking a specific question ....

I believe obtaining an individual tax number from the FIRS will be stressful and cost money....let me inquire first.

it might be, after all they asked for a personal identification number. I don't even have a national id. Am guessing you could also use the number on the id card too.....so confused. Sent the bank another mail asking them certain questions applicable to the issue at hand. I'll update you as soon as i get an answer.

Got an email from Db bank again


Dear Sirs,

thank you for sending us your account opening documents.

We regret your account cannot be opened because the documents are not completly filled. You have made implausible statements to tax residency.
Your foreign registred address does not match with a German tax residency.

Please send us the documents again completely and plausible filled and signed in all spaces with the description "Signature of account holder" and "Acknowledgement of receipt by the depositor".

A confirmation from the German Embassy is not necessary.

i chose the 'I am resident for tax purposes in Germany only' option. It is now obvious that that is the wrong answer. The problem now is if i choose the 'I am resident for tax purposes in the following countries outside Germany' option,choose Nigeria as the country...what do i write as the tax ID number??

1. You can fill the form on PC or use your hand, either one you like.

2. You will attach one picture to one form and leave the second one without picture, take one(or two) picture along.
The VO will scan it & attached it to the visa application form herself.

3. Use stapler to attach it, place it above the head (only one pin is okay)

Go to the German embassy websites and check the required checklist of documents you are expected to bring because you will need 2 copies of questionnaire.

Have u been interviewed kilo4sure? My interview is in early February. I have some questions that might sound silly

1.According to the student checklist, we need two visa application forms (no copies). So that means I'll print two copies of the form and fill them with a pen individually?

2.According to the student checklist, only two passport photographs are needed one attached to application form and one loose. So does this mean that one of the forms will have a passport attached and the other left without one?

3. How do i attach the passport to the form? by stapling or by gluing?

Wow Deutsch bank just told me the form I sent was outdated and then gave me a link to their website where I can download the form, but the only difference I can find is about having tax residence in Germany or another country with available spaces to fill up the names of those countries, but aside that I find no other difference with the first form I filled. But the real issue is what do I fill in this tax residence stuff, pls has anyone had a similar situation? Your contributions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Dude, i got the same mail.Was told i used outdated forms bla blah bla, and a confirmation by the embassy wasn't needed when sending another form via courier.I filled the new form ([b][/b]ticked i am resident for tax purposes in Germany only), printed and signed. Included a copy of the email sent to me by Deutsche Bank and a letter explaining that this was the second time i was applying for a blocked account . That i have previously sent certified documents. Waiting for their reply. You should do the same.
