Why the emphasis on the point that Mr Dangoteis reluctant to sell shares??
If the share value is inflated and NNPC as usual handles their board position with levity as expected, it might actually not be in Nigeria's interest sef...
BTW, wasn't CBN instrumental in providing funding for the construction?? |

Slay queens in Nigeria benefits from this stolen money most because they dates senators,Chiefs,Ministers,Honourables, Alhajis,DPO etc, they spends half of stolen money lavishly to buy cars, houses etc for side chicks, slays queens,Nollywood actresses etc,and the laters whos comes from poor families will flunt expenses jewelries, cars, houses on internet, they will caption it with "Hard work paid off,see what God has just done for me",yet they have no sources of income but they depends on stolen money from politicians. Very correct. I always tell my friends that at least 5% of the yearly Nigerian budget indirectly goes to extracurricular YANSH |

Nigerians are too emotional.
They keep pushing Osinbajo like he is a better alternative. He is the same as Buhari and all the other people governing our affairs.
We need radical thinking leaders.
Ironically, Akeredolu is the closest thing to such even though he isn't much to write home about either |

What is the essence of having Generals and service chiefs that can't protect the people?
Nigerians are bring killed like fowls across board from Benue to Oyo state ..what has these so called Generals and service chiefs done to improve our security architecture?
Bandits and Fulani herdsmen everywhere
Unprofessionalism and corruption in all the branches of our security forces..
Killing, harassment and maiming of innocent Nigerians.....

Aufbauh: What I heard him say is actually worth giving a thought. Will you discard someone who has been patience in the service to go through the ranks and qualify to be appointed for someone else who is not up to that rank just to balance up? What are you saying? Even in the military where rank/seniority is everything, he has been discarding seniors to appoint juniors. Not to even talk of other govt agencies where such is also rife. |

Politics › Re: Legalise Cultivation Of Cannabis, Akeredolu Urges FG by Spidermon: 8:11am On Jun 09, 2021 |
Jakumo: Generally speaking, all those who currently grow and sell cannabis in Nigeria will OPPOSE its legalization, because one of the first immediate benefits of cannabis decriminalization will be that the price of the product will drop steeply and sharply since every user can very easily grow more than enough high-quality marijuana to meet their requirements year in year out, at virtually NO cost. Obviously too, the NDLEA and police derive enormous profit from arresting and extorting weed smokers, so those law enforcement agencies would also prefer that weed remain illegal until hell freezes over.
Weed is called by that name for good reason. It is EXTREMELY easy to grow, such that the instant cultivation for personal use is legalized, 99% of those currently buying cannabis will simply grow their own, both to save money, but more importantly to escape the poisonous and lethal chemicals now being added to virtually all cannabis sold in Nigeria, for reasons best known to the criminal dealers.
Governor Akeredolu's initiative will surgically remove ALL criminal gangs from the business of growing and poisoning cannabis for the rest of all time, and that is why the loudest voices opposing legalization will be those who are currently profiting hugely by selling low quality, chemically contaminated weed to users who buy that crap ONLY because they are too scared of the law to grow their own supply. |

Well, I don't really see it as a big loss because if these so called Generals have something to offer intellectually, the security situation won't be this bad.
Same goes for all the other Nigerian security agencies. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: As A Christian Can You Work For A Muslim As... by Spidermon: 10:58pm On Jun 02, 2021 |
ekestic1976: The best experience I have ever had in life. I was recommended to a Muslim professor from my Department in the university in the mid-1980s. They were three brothers each having his own Business. My Master was the eldest. I don't want to mention his name, because it's a popular Muslim family in Yorubaland. A few days after I started work (I was living in the premises like a member of the family) the haemorrhoids (piles) I had been nursing from my university days got burst. Instead of sending me away as a new worker, this great man had me admitted in LUTH and I was operated on. He cautioned that I shouldn't tell any of my people, not even my twin brother. He saw me through the illness. He wouldn't allow me to go back to work until I was totally healed. At the end of about four years, he got me fixed up in another job, which has remained my profession since 1989. Earlier, he had sent me on a training. When I was about to do my wedding in 1994, this great man bought clothes for me and my fiancee from London(he had a personal home in London). Lest I forget. He came to my new workplace(I had left him then) in 1990 and told me that he would be going to London. I told him that I needed a VHS video player. He bought it for me for £250 pounds. I still have the receipt. It was an Hitachi Front Loader. Earlier in 1987, whilst I was still with him, he would be going to Switzerland. He bought for me a colour television, called SABA, 99 channels. It's remarkable that all of us working for these brothers were Christians. Never was anyone discriminated against! I don't want to mention his name. He died in February 2001 at 83 years. He's from Egbaland while I'm from Ekiti. I wept my eyes out at his death. If you do not believe this story, it shows how far down Nigeria has gone. It's a true life story and God knows that I do not have anything to gain by lying at my time of life. I'll be 64 years old in November, by His grace. Interestingly, I wasn't the only one this great man did a good turn for. I've heard many stories told about his generosity. May God preserve the soul of Professor S. O. B. That Muslim is not a bad man, just as that Christian too is a good man. Most of our mutual suspicions were engendered by the politicians. I'm a born again Christian and Professor S. O. B. did not at any time put me to scorn. I still enjoy the fact of my affiliation with him to this day and I'm still in touch with members of the family. What I said about him was just a little of the love he showed me. I wish I could tell you more, but I'm preparing my Biography, to be published by my personal publishing firm later. The man introduced me to publishing. I WILL never forget that great man. My prayers is that whoever are named with him this side of Eternity shall never beg to eat, IJN. Biob*ku |
