It depends on the shares of the company you bought. Most people before 2009 bought overvalued banking shares. A lot of the banks are dead or have her acquired by other banks at ridiculous prices.

First bank is one of the biggest and most capitalized banks in Nigeria till today. They did a public offer in 2007 at about N30 per share. As at the close of trading on Friday, First bank share was sold at around N16. If first bank has lost over half of her share price since 2007, imagine how the portfolio of someone that invested in BankPHB, Diamond bank, First Atlantic, Skye bank, Oceanic etc would be right now.

This is exactly what newspaper tabloids with influence from corrupt politicians did during the pre-internet or social media era...control the flow of information and determine what others read,watch and listen!
I urge any sane person to read the letter!
It was an assurance letter from Ghana to David about their commitment to protect him!

He has achieved exactly what he wanted, public assurances that he wouldn't be handed over to Nigeria.

It's really sad that most people don't read to understand but rather to respond.

Para 15. which is the last paragraph explicitly reminds and warns him to obey the law of Ghana and be careful in his future public broadcast.

Nigerians should ask the government the following questions:

1. What happened to all the dollars that come into the country via crude oil sales? How does CBN handle it for the government?

2. When the formost economist Mr Boyo was alive, he spoke about how activities in the parallel market gets very active during FAAC allocation. These spike in the parallel market activities were usually driven by wholesale demand for dollar by politicians. The question is, what do politicians do with the dollars if not to store in Septic tanks or send it to offshore account.There should be a complete ban on BDC operations.

Nigerians should be asking these lines of questions.
