Bella9550: Are you renting the whole house to him or just the room? LaaJiblik: UCL is in the middle of Central London, which means you can live anywhere around it. I don't know your budget but look for a place between zone 1 and 3 with (possibly) direct link to central London. Stratford is usually a go to area for most people but remember, the closer the better. Use http://www.spareroom.co.uk to filter by zones and also search on gumtree. |

So they don't have to pay inheritance tax. Create a charity/foundation and pump the money there, make your kids overseers and keep the money running in the family forever. That's tax avoidance 201. 1 Like |

Dongreat: What has status got to do with taxation? Are you really serious that citizens don't pay tax? Current personal allowance is £11,000 which by 52 weeks is £211.54. Anything you earn above that is getting taxed no matter what your status is. After the end of the tax year; Your total income is calculated Minus your personal allowance Tax is calculated based on the rest and they refund you if you paid too much Please use official HMRC tax calculator so you don't confuse yourself |

marauka: What exactly are you confused about? |
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by spikesC(m): 12:28pm On Oct 27, 2016 |
Dongreat: You're getting this wrong. Tax is deducted based on how much you earn not how many hours you worked. They remove your personal allowance first, then tax you on the remaining amount. Most students working just 20 hours at minimum wage would not cross the personal allowance mark which is why you think it is because of the hours. marauka: Your employer will tax you if there calculations prove so. Confirm with hmrc that your tax code is correct, then wait for the tax year to end before you claim a tax refund. You can only get a tax refund at the end of a tax year. To see your tax and NI data and possibly claim a refund without waiting for their usual P800 letter, you can register on HMRC platform as an individual. |

HardMirror: There's a lot of Nigerian developers who are more that good for the job. In Nigeria, here in the UK and even in the US. Put a team together of mobile developers, server and Web developers and you have your service running in a few months with ongoing support if the pay is great |

Front end development was so easy, the developers just had to create work for themselves. The JavaScript community is just a bunch of jokers who apparently has nothing else important to do. "We need an all in one JS library that does everything just right". After 3 months it becomes yet another JS library and another joker would be like, "We need an all in one JS library that does everything just right". I pity them so much. Facebook developers just keep churning out libraries to them while 98% of those libraries are not used at Facebook 2 Likes |

Nitta08: I have a friend who was supposed to use them. He got a loan of £10k from them but couldn't use it because of how the process works. Future Finance will need a confirmation of enrollment from your university before they will make the payment to your university. The university will need you to show the full amount, as expected, with a bank statement before they will issue you a CAS. Now, even if you got the CAS through another source of fund and applied for VISA. You have not enrolled. Enrollment is when you register fully on the course. This university in question requires £3k for CAS and then a further £3.5k to enroll/register and start your studies. Therefore, he needs to make a full payment, from his pocket, of £6.5k before future finance will release the loan. If future finance makes a payment of £10k to the university afterwards, the university will refund future finance the already paid sum and not to the student. Therefore, he could only borrow £3.5k from future finance, which wouldn't be of any benefit to him. This might seem off point to your actual question, but you have to consider it before going through months of processing with both parties and end up getting disappointed. You need to talk to your university to see if there's a way they can work around the future finance requirement. Finally, you'll need an OK credit rating and a guarantor (with a UK/EU passport) |
Business / Re: Remittance: CBN Raises BDC Exchange Rate To N385/$ by spikesC(m): 9:52pm On Oct 18, 2016 |
"...The aim is to increase the supply of dollar and stabilize the exchange rate.." Are you serious? Is this a joke or what? You're increasing the supply of foreign currencies by actually limiting remittance channels and regulating exchange rates (again). You've stopped free flow of remittance which was actually helping the economy, forced a static exchange rate (after floating the Naira a couple months ago) and you're here talking about increasing the supply of foreign currency. Where exactly did these people go to school self? 21 Likes 2 Shares |

FincoApps: This actually makes a lot of sense but some people might not have the time to work on a new project. Also, if you're voting for the most interesting project, it would be very bias as some projects might be complex but just not interesting to this audience. Consider difference in sectors too (web, desktop, embedded, server etc.) and of course the most important thing, working on proprietary apps/devices. I think you need to put in more thought into the professionals category. |

marcdeco: That's very bad. That's like 4 teaching weeks lost. I doubt any university would allow you in. They probably already contacted UKVI as it is required. You'll either get a refund or defer your admission to the next intake. Also, you might have to apply for another visa. You'll decide on applying in the next intake or use this same visa and just extend when the time comes |
