I was a student in 2002 and at that time STB was the bank. she charges 105 niara for withdrawing out side ur branch. u are 2005

Thanks anyways.
PoliticsRe: Probe: Jonathan Holds Meeting With Ex-ministers by spiralwedge(m): 10:06am On Aug 31, 2015
GEJ should tread cautiously cos he may be charged with treasonable offences.

He should man up and face his corruption charges... it is no news that his admin was the most corrupt (Abacha secretly stole money) because of the brazen and 'korokoro' way he allowed people make money disappear.
BusinessRe: How Banking Looked Like A Decade And Half Ago by spiralwedge(m): 9:51am On Aug 31, 2015
Mee234:
Wrong. STB started it. because of that it was popular among students
you were a student, u might not know much then. I know what I am talking about. I had to close all my accounts w/ NBM, FBN, Union, National bank and put all in WEMA.. because that was the only bank that could offer the closest service I used to enjoy abroad. Other ones followed.
But whatever happened to WEMA afterwards, others overtook them.

Please get your facts right before posting that this is what banking looks like in 2004.
Perhaps maybe you are talking about community bank.
I make bold to say that NO commercial bank uses this booklet as at 2004 again.
Haba Nigerians with unsubstantiated postings.
the op is right. The changes started early 2005 with 2 or 3 banks and took some banks another 5 years. I am very very sure of this.

mykel4god, kindly revert topic to '2004' or 'about a decade ago'. thanks

laserjet:
This one na Wema Bank balance sheet grin
As a matter of fact, as at 2005 it was only in WEMA bank that you could withdraw cash from your account at ANY of their branches nationwide; which attracted N100 charge. NO OTHER BANK had this as at 2005.

Union bank was worse, from my experience - old aged staff struggling with the keyboard and asking a busy younger guy for help all the time, spending like 30 minutes on 1 customer and always running out of money and asking people to come back the next day.

Till today I don't have any cause to go to Union bank... I have my way of dodging to go there. I don't even think they still exist. OR DO THEY? I have never seen their ATM before grin grin grin
BusinessRe: How Banking Looked Like A Decade And Half Ago by spiralwedge(m): 10:37pm On Aug 30, 2015
as at 2004, Europe, UK especially was already tired of ATM, online banking and were considering inserting chips under people's skin..... But I was surprised to have arrived in this country with so much backwardness as at that time.
phones, SIM cards, call tarriffs were ridiculously high and people were thanking OBJ for bringing GSM to the country. gosh! every nook and cranny of Lagos was cramped with umbrellas with a starved teenager where phone calls were made.

lol what a country.

A graduate being paid 30k working in a church as a secretary? undecided

First of all I doubt if the experience you would gain there would be of any use to you career - wise, then add that to the fact the energy and time you ought to use looking for a real job would be spent doing church work.

I won't take that job for the life of me. angry
shoroniyen angry undecided

church work is the hardest. if you think you have inter-personal skill and customer care skill.... try church. Is it organisationaL/planning skill (admin)you think you have? Try there. What about stress management and handling pressure? Or is it minute and report writing? public speaking and some workplace politics? And many others.

You dont know shi.t. If I'm employing and i see that you have worked in ADMINISTRATIVE CAPACITY (not Ministerial) in the church at least for 2 years, I will consider you more than the rest.

Bros, take it but church work is different from secular ones o. it is more demanding and needs a lot patience exercising.
It is a lot of sacrifice and you have to remove your eyes on money. if you think u are just passing by, it will affect your performance.
I will advise to take n keep the job. it will help u.

how many jobs are even there in utako?
