the next day,we got our tank filled by the mobile diesel truck, got to the mustering point and we were informed we are not allowed to work in the farm again because our driver had some unnecessary arguments with the supervisors the previous day, o boy I no fit happy o, na so we bath carry my cloth jump enter the truck na Benin we see Sooooo

In 2015,man was so broke I was looking for money to get a good phone,did a whole lot of meager hustles but the little money was not forthcoming, no be say I no sabi thief o but I no like am, so I no fit thief and one of these days a guy who is into driving of trucks called me for a farm jab in the outskirt of EDO state,as I no get choice na so i follow am, on a very chilly Monday morning,4 am,my guy ranged my phone and we had a few blunts and set off for the journey, was about two hours journey,we got there, met the yeye contractor, i was amazed by the size of the farm as I've never seen nothing of such nature, owned and managed by white,there's a chapel for Christians,a school for the workers children and wards, for those that attends school outside the farm there's a bus that takes them to and fro everyday, a whole lot of restaurants, stores for beverages ,a Gas Station, a mobile Gas Station too in case there's shortage of diesel of vehicles in the farm, good road network,infact the farm is far more organised and more suitable for living than in Nigeria itself,the mustering point is as busy as oshodi bus stop in the morning, we started working about an hour after our arrival, tho the pay was enticing, like you can work as much 20k a day but to do the work no be mouth, I gave up on the work just after 10 mins into it, o boy.we only managed to go for two trips into the farm because the work has to do with loading of trucks with stuffs and offloading them at another location in the farm, we were to work and stay in the farm from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays we go home to our various places and back on Sunday or Monday morning but after working for just one day my God I was already thinking of the route I will take home the next day, hard work dey this life o, on our last journey of the day which was the second journey ,we just finished offloading our truck and another truck came to offload,because it was raining season the roads were very slippery, drivers takes extra care when driving mostly when the trucks are loaded, because if truck wen carry load sink na big wahala be that, but unfortunately for the driver of the other truck his truck got sunk and needed a shovel to pack the wet sand and replace with dry ones, he came to beg us for shovel me and my guy wanted to give the driver the shovel and even help him but the driver of the truck we are with said "lai lai " he said he's not giving out his shovel because he's in haste to leave inside the farm and go to the mustering point,the closing time is 5 pm but it was already 5:30 pm and we were still deep into the farm, not that there's any punishment or sort for late closing but we needed to rest because the work be like war.me and my guy told our driver we should help the driver of the other truck but he said he would leave us and go as we no get choice we obey am, we locked the opening of the bucket of our truck and as we were about zooming off the other driver and his three boys managed to get their truck off the slippery part and they were good to go also but had to offload first,just about 40 seconds after starting our truck it went off, guess what, our diesel got finished,jesu!!! any truck that enters the farm is entitled to 30 litres of diesel everyday but our contractor didn't tell our driving so we were not aware we are entitled to 30 litres of diesel, time was about 6 pm, the farm have closed and it's not possible for the mobile gas truck to come supply us diesel in the heart of the farm,we called the contractor and he said he will send a bike guy to get us the diesel but after about 10 mins he called again and told us bikes are not allowed to enter the farm at that time, we have exhausted all our options meanwhile we are not even suppose to think about those options in the first place because the best and easiest thing we ought to do was to get diesel from the other driver because the next morning he will get a tank fill for free, 30 litres so there was no point for him not to have given us but because we Don already sh*t for church we no fit ask the driver, our driver knew all options has been exhausted he summoned courage and carried his big head to meet the other driver and begged him for diesel but the driver refused. if na you nko?, trecking from that place to the mustering point would take us about 3 hours and it was already 6 pm, we had no option but to sleep inside the bush that night,since that day whatever little opportunity I have to help anybody I always make sure I don't fail in doing that....

I'm from EDO state, to say the truth most of those pics are from just ring road which is the city center, like somebody said EDO needs an industrial layout, if rain fall na problem, everybody dey para for street, even sellers for market go cut chain for you If you no price their wares with sense,like my friend would say "EDO state na street" ,yes o, if you grew up in Benin and not wise it means your foolishness na original follow-come,hardworking people,the three major tribes are known separately for different stuffs like the binis which is the major tribe are known for travelling outside Nigeria, but the rest of the state Don learn am from them sef, the esans,the EDO central where I'm from are known for wizardry, o boy some kind men dey fear when dem hear say you be Esan guy o haha, why the other is EDO north,they are dominantly Muslims,which is the etsakos, this is the second largest ethnic group after bini EDO south, Esan EDO central is third.im from EDO central, was born there but grew up in Benin which is EDO south and had my tertiary education in EDO north.
I enjoy and love travelling and seeing different places but haven't had to chance to do much of that as I would love to, but I have been to at least two states each in every regions of Nigeria, I'm currently writing from a North Central state, I've been around the country and have come to the conclusion that "all states in Nigeria are all the same " there is no difference between portharcourt and Benin or ogun and Lagos or nasarawa and delta infact there's no much difference between almighty Abuja and akwa Ibom sef, the only difference is the tribes and way of life, na just the doings different.i have been robbed in porthhacourt as I've been robbed in Lagos, light no dey Benin and I don still dey inside hotel for Abuja, kubwa,nepa take light and generator no gree work o, person wen we gather dey sweat for yansh taya, transportation system for Lagos nawa, person go just dey run follow motor like say na film and I slept in a bush in ekiti state because the rickety bus we enter for night dey go banga farm for the outskirt of the state break down, last week I went to buy a laptop in Abuja, GSM village, bross see dirty for road for a whole capital city, shame just catch me, so it makes me wonder where all this people bashing EDO are from, no be from this same jungle of a country, where the life expectancy na 63 years for the whole country?, no be from the same Nigeria where the whole civil servants still dey earn 18k as minimum wage? no be from this same naija where na one president like so dey rule us all? all states in Nigeria have road issues, security issues, transportation problem,abi e get any of una wen get assurance say light go dey for the next minute? Abegi as far as you are from this Nigeria you no even get the right to bash another state because "na we we" we are all in same sh*t together, all our politicians dey use our head play like barber we go dey online dey talk nonsense,of all the places I've been to in Nigeria I think the most serene and best place to live is in some northern states and you don't see dem online ridiculing another state sef, see dat one from portharcourt,porthacourt that can't even be used as a potato farm in Egypt is still talking trash here sef. make e no be like say I dey vex, I don go.
