Shukuakukobambi: Almost thou persuadest me that you're not a chest beating igbo. By their empty boasts and chest beating, you shall know them
And they couldn't lift their people out of poverty enough to beat Osun? What's the use of billionaires among hordes of poor wretched souls? Do you know how many billionaires are in Kano? Lagos or Ogun?
Do you know the number of industries in Ogun, Lagos and Oyo? Oga, I know these two States very well. You can't compare Osun state to Anambra There are no such 'wretched souls' in Anambra. Everybody hustles. See, you live in Lagos, right? Look around even your own neighborhood you live and tell me how many 'wretched' Anambra (or Igbo) souls you have around. |
Politics › Re: Keep Ranting About The South-east. by Splashme: 7:56am On Jun 13, 2019 |
Shukuakukobambi: Ok thanks for the correction. I obviously omitted Anambra. You can now help me tell the fake stats poster that only 2 SE states made the first 10 while all SW made it with Osun coming first Even at that, Osun doesn't come close to the number of billionaires, companies and mansions in Anambra, The stats is more about income spread of a people living above poverty line and not about their prosperity |
Politics › Re: Keep Ranting About The South-east. by Splashme: 7:36am On Jun 13, 2019 |
Shukuakukobambi: Actually Anambra isn't even in the first 10 of least poverty while all SW states are. Only Enugu is there and it's doing better than Anambra according to the Nigerian bureau of statistics and the United Nations Development Program. You posted a link and yet lying shamelessly on it I'm not from Anambra (not even Igbo) but your link from Punch puts Osun and Anambra as first and second respectively Read the highlighted paragraph

Shikini: OP, you have a point.
I hardly hear of 'Bursaries' in South West.
But it's so common among SS and SE states that even LGA chairmen are compelled to abide.Failure to do so .... (you can guess the political implications)
Godfatherism is a very strong factor in South West politics now (Lagos in particular - not all SW states) . This is not entirely so in SS & SE. One of the bad sides of Godfatherism is that leaders tend to be answerable to their godfather (not the people). In SS & SE, you can be popular with your people and get elected based on individual merit. But in Lagos, the godfather must know you before you can even be given a party ticket. You have to oil the godfather's palms every now and then to get a reelection ticket. What am I saying? A politicians priorities are different in SS/SE vs SW. While a typical Lagos politician wants to warm his way to a godfather, a politician in SS/SE will want to warm his way to the people ... and you see, payment of BURSARY is one of the ways. |

SillyMods: I have learnt not to take all these international/world agencies serious. Most of their predictions always fail to hit their target.
IMF wanted Nigeria to take loan with a lot of conditions (e.g, increase tax, removing subsidy, privatizing of some national assets, etc), Nigeria rejected their offer and they predicted we were going to have problems. Less than two years of their offer and prediction of bad outlook for our economy, we bounced back and have actually done far better than anyone expected.
On the other hand, Greece and Argentina listened to IMF/World Bank and both countries keep sinking since then.
So, pay little or attention to these agents of doom. Oga, when did IMF beg Nigeria to come for loan. You see, you ZOMBIES know how to lie and lie and lie. You tell lies so easily. Same thing your president is good at |
