There is no gainsaying the fact that Nigeria lacks leadership in all aspect of its national life.This singular deficiency has hampered its development.A country or an organisation may have all the necessary resources but without a good administrator or leader,the growth or say the development of such country or organisation will still be retarded and this is a situation Nigeria has found itself-a giant without a backbone.Before I continue,it is necessary to shade a little light on the meaning of leadership.Leadership is that part of human resources that galvanises every other aspect of organizational resources
for effective implementation of laid down policies towards achieving the organizational objectives .Leadership is always at the head working to achieve predetermined goals.Having made a sketchy meaning of leadership, it is glaring that Nigeria as an country,in other words an organisation has not had it well in getting the required leadership to achieve its laid down goals which is the wellbeing of its people through the constitution. From inception,leadership question has bedevilled the country.The colonial masters handed over the country to their surrogates thereby leaving the country to wallow in search of true leaders.leaders that will galvanise the resources'both human and material' for the benefits of the citizens.This wobbling in search of leadership precipitated into a deadly civil war yet the search has persisted.many republics have come and gone yet the search continues.Till when will the search remain?This question is what I will leave you my reader to answer.
