Operatives attached to the Port Harcourt zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a suspected notorious FaceBook accounts hacker, Okohwan Kelvin.

Kelvin’s arrest according to the Commission’s Acting Head, Media and Publicity, Tony Orilade, followed discreet monitoring of his online activities, based on complaints from members of the public alleging that he hacked and took over their FaceBook accounts, after they clicked on a phisting link he sent to them.

“Preliminary investigations showed that Kelvin had hacked about one hundred FaceBook accounts using phishing links generated from an online hacking website. “It was also discovered that the suspect was selling hacked FaceBook accounts to other fraudsters who were using them for various nefarious online activities. In some cases, he used many of the accounts himself to defraud friends of his victims. He would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”, Kelvin said.

A Kenyan woman has shared the story a rather sad and unfortunate story of herself after surviving a ghastly accident which left her wheelchair-bound.

The 33-year-old woman identified as Georgina Wambui got married to herself in a simple ceremony in order to live a happy life.

According to Georgina Wambui, she was in a relationship before the accident but decided to end it because they had issues.

She explained that after the accident in 2014, she lost most of her friends and close relatives since she is now confined to a wheelchair.


She added that after revealing to her family about her decision to marry herself they found it absurd and decided to change her mind but it fell on deaf ears.

So on her 33rd birthday, she bought herself a ring, a beautiful gown, a cake with the inscription “Gee Weds Gee” with her bridesmaid and got married to herself in a colourful ceremony.

“After the accident, I lost my friends who were close to me. That changed me a lot, it gave me a lot of strength. It made me realise some people are there to stay and others are not. This is one reason why I choose very few people around myself.

I chose to marry myself according to the inner feeling in me, not because I don’t believe in love, I do believe in love, I believe in marriage but I chose I will go for what I want not what the society wants.

You may choose to wait but will you wait for the rest of your life. I really wanted to be married to a man but it has taken longer than what I expected, that is why I decided I will go ahead and marry myself. After my wedding, the next thing is getting a child, that is where I’m heading now,” Georgina stated.

How to Apply for AKSU Post UTME Form 2019
The University portal will be opened for registration from Monday, 2nd July 2018 to Friday, 20th July 2018. Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise following the procedure below:
Visit Aksu official portal/website on(http://portal.aksu.edu.ng) to generate Pre-Payment Analysis Slip.
Click on REGISTER NOW LINK in the Login Page
Select PUTME/DIRECT ENTRY in the Registration-Type Panel and click on PUTME link.
Enter your JAMB registration number and click VERIFY.
On the right-hand side of the page showing your details, select CLICK TO MAKE PAYMENT and print the prepayment slip so generated.
Proceed to the Bank with the pre-analysis slip and inform the Bank teller that you wish to make fee payment for Akwa Ibom State University Post-UTME screening using e-transact.
The Screening fee is N2,000
After payment, repeat steps 1 to 3 above. The payment status on the right side of the page should now show PAID.
Click the “>” symbol at the extreme right-hand side of the page to proceed with the registration process.
Complete the form and ensure you clearly scan and upload the following documents (with sizes not more than 100KB)
WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate/Result as may be applicable.

The Police Command in Kano State says it has arrested a 19-year-old Woman, Mariya Suleiman, of Badawa Quarters, Kano, for allegedly stabbing her 30-year-old brother, Sani Suleiman, to death.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna, the Police Public Relations’ Officer (PPRO) disclosed this in a statement in Kano on Sunday.

He said the incident occurred on July 6, at about 8 p.m. at Badawa Quarters Kano.

Haruna said that preliminary investigations revealed that Suleiman and the victim had a misunderstanding and in the process, she stabbed him to death.

“The misunderstanding occurred when the victim ordered that the music going on during the marriage ceremony of one of their sisters be stopped which Suleiman resisted in the process, she used a knife and stabbed him on his neck,” the PPRO said.

He said the victim was rushed to Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital Kano, where he was confirmed dead.

Pre NCE (Special Needs): SSC/NTC/NBC with at least three credits and two passes in not more than two sittings. The credits must include English Language and any two from History, Government, Biology, Chemistry or Agricultural Science or TCII with credits/merits in the said subjects.
Transition to NCE
At the end of the two semesters, students are to proceed to the respective NCE programmes provided they obtained a CGPA of 1.50 and scored the minimum Cut-Off Point at the JAMB UTME. They are however, exempted from Kaduna Poly Post UTME.

Acting
I really never had any interest in acting because I am a very shy person. However, I usually attended auditions back then with my friends just for fun because after my secondary school education, I was at home for some time waiting for admission into the university.

In 2006, I registered with the Actors Guild of Nigeria, and started going for auditions, and I was eventually picked. There was a particular movie where they were looking for someone that looked like Ini Edo to play a certain part. So, I got there and decided to try my luck. One of the production managers asked if I was an actress, and I said “no”. He asked me to show him what I could do and that was how I picked up the script.

The movies that brought me to the limelight were Bloody Tussle and Fatal Success. I think they are still on YouTube. Those were the first English movies that I acted in. However, the first time I was on set, it wasn’t easy because I was working with big stars; so, I had to pick my lines carefully. I just had to be mindful of everything coming out of me. It wasn’t funny, trust me. I have also produced some movies.

I don’t do boys but I do men because a boy is someone that cannot take responsibilities. A man is someone who can handle anything that comes out of the relationship. For instance, I can’t date a boy who I would have to use a condom with to prevent me from getting pregnant because he is not ready for a baby yet. NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE:
The application form fee for the 2019/2020 academic year is N7,000 (Seven Thousand Naira Only). Post-UTME Screening fee is N2,000 (Two thousand Naira only). Transaction charges apply – N600 (Six Hundred Naira Only) for bank / over the counter transaction. Payment can be made at these authorized banks – Access, Zenith, UBA, GTB, Stanbic, Keystone, CMFB etc. You are required to walk into the bank, provide applicant’s name, make payment and receive the PIN and RECEIPT NUMBER to be inputted on the form.
The application form can be saved with a view of completion at a later date. An application cannot be submitted if the application fee is not paid at the end of the form.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
A statement of purpose (not more than 500-word count) should be prepared and submitted online with the application. The personal statement should address your intellectual interests, academic and professional objectives, visions, and goals for life. Two official recommendations are required for your application to be completed. Covenant University requires the use of the online recommendation system, which utilizes a secure system that will:
Automatically email your recommendation providers with instructions for online submission of the recommendation.
