I know the first thing that comes to your mind is working for clients.

Writing sales copy, Facebook ad copy, web copy, funnel copy and so on.

You know I thought same way too, I thought that's how the big guys make a lot of money from copy by charging clients higher fees and adding more clients.

But here is how you can make BIG money as a copywriter even if you're not a big copywriter.

This is not Fiverr or Upwork stuff so are you ready to learn?

1. Copywriting Agency.
A copywriting agency is a copywriting business with more than one copywriter.

Copywriting agency charges higher fees up to $10,000 per project and an agency can just be a lean team of 5.

You must be good as a copywriter and your team must be good else you will deliver terrible results for your clients and lose your reputation.

Yeah, I know you like the idea of owning an agency because you'll get bigger clients easily once you've establish your reputation.

Then to the next.

2. Productize your knowledge.
Who is going buy it? Or how do I sell it?

That's your next question because right now the whole copywriting industry is filled with baby copywriters selling courses.

They tell you that the only way to make money with copywriting is selling courses.

But come to think of it. If the king of closing Dan Lok offers you a copywriting course for $300 why will you buy it?

The answer is simple. You'll buy it because he has the proof, knowledge, experience and expertize.

Take note of this.

Your course shouldn't be another "HOW TO"  course in the market but should be a combination of your

Knowledge
Experience
Expertize
And proof.

Let me show you how to make big money from this.

If you package everything I talked about above your course is likely more different than the rest products out there that teaches "how to" and never 'here is my secret strategy"......

A good copywriting course is nothing less than 5k.

If 100 people get your course a month that's half a million naira.

200 people that's 1 million.

And 1000 people gets it that's 5 million in a month.

3. Consultation.

This method can work for any skill you just need to think and align this idea to fit what you do.

Keep on sending those who have a product such message.

If you can reach 10 persons 1 will reply.

100 persons, 10 reply and 1 new client.

Do you know why most copy fail?

People are very skeptical now more than ever and that's why if they see a copy they can recognize it almost instantly.

So how do you write a copy that does not look like one.


1. You write with the sole purpose of helping.

Yeah, don't get me wrong your copy is meant to sell but not to SELL directly.

How then do you achieve this?

Glad you ask but you will notice that content provides value and people love to go where they will benefit from.

Even if you are fully aware that I have a product to sell, you will still read my content if you find value in there.

Lets take George Ten for example he is the copythinker on Twitter.

He gives out high valued threads on copywriting for free but do you know why?

He is building trust.

He is helping others too.

Now he his trying to tell you "I am not just any kind of copywriter but the copythinking copywriter".

I read one of his thread on "THE ART OF COPYTHINKING ''

what I learnt from it was 🔥🔥

At the end he sold his cohort session and even Bruno Nwogu bought that cohort session.

Now why am I telling you these.

If you study carefully you will find out that he was giving out value to build trust and not only that.

He gave more value just to SHOW you he didn't want your money but he is here to help.

Then the second step is.

2. Avoid writing like robots.

I don't know but many won't agree with me.

Writing with templates might be okay for beginners but I don't think the real Gees of copywriting uses template.

Why?

Because of your market.

Now you can use AIDA formula to write copy and it will convert but then it might not work for every market.

You might need a different approach.

Sure you will need to get attention with your headline and hook your prospect but then you might need a different approach like:

Testimonials
Facts..
Story.
Disagreement with a certain subject
or even pure education.


In all I think the gees of copywriting write the whole stuff and fit it into a formula and not the other way round.



3. Don't use click bait headlines.

No, don't do it.
Read Boron letters by Gary Halbert and you will see it there too.

Click bait headlines are red flags to your prospects that you are trying to take their money.

Because they can sense it from the hook that your headline does not match your message.


4. Differentiate from the crowd.

You've heard "model what works".

But as you keep on writing more and more new ideas and methods will come to you naturally use them and double down on what works.



5. Answer objections majestically.

No guesswork be honest.

Don't be deceptive it will only give you short term gain.

An example....

".......No, it will take you up to XYZ time to get the results you desire but that's if you don't put much effort......."



6. Back up your weak points with a reason

Don't hide your weak points project it and back it up.

e.g NO MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

"Yes there is no money back guarantee on this course because I want only serious persons to get it.

It is too bad most people buy a course and they think they will just get results like that without working after some time they ask for a refund

And they call the course creator a scam.

That's not going to be the case here , if you are ready to change your financial status I guarantee you this course will do it for you if you follow the steps in it."

This does not only notify your readers that you aren't after making a sale but after making people get results.



7. Think like your prospects will.

Don't forget you are writing to a target audience and they will start looking for every possible means to discard your copy.

Don't write to amaze, write to get them take action.

Don't hide the big deal far let it surface and make them curious to know more.

If you think like you prospects you will be able to know what's the next step they will likely take.

Is it to believe you and take action?

Or

To ignore you because you sound like the other guys out there.



7. Don't deceive your prospect that it's free whereas it's not.

You already know what I mean.

It's normal to feel like hiding the premium part of the copy but if you observe closely the premium part comes first.

In most copy written by badass copywriters the premium comes first with a powerful hook to make you curious.

Let me tell what this does.

By telling your readers that this is not free but premium you will filter low quality readers.

Those interested will read to see how it can help them achieve what they desire.

If you've read this far it means you are ready to write badass copy that doesn't look like copy but you might be thinking well I have something to sell you.

But NO that's not true.

But even if that's the case won't you buy from me.

Yes, you will because I am now in the position of helping you get pass the trap of writing copy that fails.

1. Get rich quick syndrome.

2. Writing instead of observing.

If you are completely new don't focus your energy on writing because copywriting is 80% research and 20% writing.

If you have everything you need in place then the writing comes easily.

Observe and study other proven copy and ask yourself questions like "why did the writer use this term", "why writing in this format".

By the time you ask yourself questions like this you will discover how powerful your brain is to answer it.


3. Practicing.

This is where many fails they will learn and learn and keep on learning till they are confused.

The reason is because if you don't practice what you learn you will start complicating yourself with excess information that have tested by you which will leads to confusion.

In the process of practicing you will discover what works and what doesn't.

Double down on what works and let go of what doesn't.



4. No mentorship.
Having a mentor is very important, a mentor is like a father that guides you and saves you with his experience and knowledge.

Look around and you will find out that all the great copywriters today have a mentor.

Akin Alabi was one of the guys that mentored Andy Mukolo.

1. Invest in yourself.
The first thing you need to know is you must be willing to invest in yourself. 4. Have a mentor and role model.

You ready to learn fine success doesn't just come in one day you need to be consistent everyday you need to be ready to build what you desire is on the other side of fear of what will people say, what if I fear, what if I fail,  all this thing's you need to put them aside and be really ready for your goal you know where you belong you want to be the person that is rich so don't let fear stop you start taking action jump on every opportunity.

Have a mentor or role model when I say  a mentor or role model I mean someone you can look up to someone that is above you someone you wish to become study them if it takes you to follow them on their social media pages follow them see the idea these people have take the opportunity this people are giving learn about their 'behind the scene' because this is where matter how they came to that level that is what you need to know we only see the results but we don't know the hard work it is the hard work that you need to focus on although they are fast vehicles that you can apply from this mentor or role model that will get you to where they are in a very short time all you need to do is to follow them and look at their background look at where they started from take note of what they did what I call the process the went through the process of manifestation is what I call it.
