From last week another Nigerian man was killed in ongoing confra war. JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA: A former number 1 man of Vikings (DNKI) cult group, named Hillary, alias Ayaya, was k**led last night in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, South Africa. Ayaya was not just a former Vikings number 1 man, he was also the current second-in-command of all Pilots in the DNKI cult group in South Africa (Present CP 2 AMP).

SOUTH AFRICA: A former NBM (Aye) Zonal Head named Bamiyi, alias Troye, was k**led today by the DNKI (Vikings) cult group in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng Province, east of Johannesburg, South Africa. Bamiyi, who was reportedly from Abia State, was not just a former NBM Zonal Head, he was also a former Committee Member Adviser of Coordinators in Ekurhuleni Zone when it was East Rand Sub-Zone under South Africa Zone. Sources reported that Bamiyi was around his car, close to a shop, before he was sh0t and k**led. DNKI cultists claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was retaliation for the k**ling of their members. (Pictures on TG) The area was reportedly peaceful until NBM cultists k**led a man named Ugochukwu in Boksburg on May 23. Naija Confra did not mention Ugochukwu’s group at that time to avoid escalation, but Ugochukwu was a DNKI cultist. There was no retaliation from DNKI, until last Saturday after a former DNKI number 1 man named Ayaya was k**led in Hillbrow by unknown gvnmen. NBM cultists claimed responsibility for that attack. DNKI has now entered a full-blown cult clash with NBM, and they have k**led a former NBM Zonal Head. The DNKI hit squad is still rolling and looking for more NBM cultists to k**l, while the NBM Ekurhuleni Zone has now declared war on DNKI following the k**ling of a former Zonal Head. The situation is very tense, and everyone is advised to stay safe. Reject Cultism. https://x.com/naijaconfra/status/2067001434831258050

EKURHULENI, SOUTH AFRICA: A few days ago, NBM (Aye) deaxed (expelled) the young boy named Okechukwu Nnamani, alias One Pipe (Strong Name: Lord Thabo Mbeki), as well as one of his fellow £vildoers, Chinaza Agu (Strong Name: Lord Dawda Jawara). Okechukwu Nnamani was expelled from the group because of the crimes associated with him, and members have been instructed not to regard them as NBM members again. Okechukwu Nnamani, alias One Pipe, has been linked to several k**lings, robberies, and other violent criminal incidents in Ekurhuleni, South Africa, damaging the reputation of Nigerians and NBM members living abroad. The most recent incident linked to him was the k**ling of a rival cultist named Ugochukwu in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni. In our last report on Okechukwu, we mentioned that the Nigerian Union Taskforce invited him, but he refused to appear. He has now threatened to k**l the chairman of the taskforce. Due to the multiple threats he has made, he has become a target of both Vikings and 22/BB members in South Africa. After our last report on Okechukwu, he reached out to Naija Confra, pleading and begging, but we saw his message late due to the large number of DMs we receive. When we eventually wanted to reply to him, we noticed that he had already started threatening to k**l Naija Confra. He apparently believed we had seen his messages and ignored them. He was so impatient for our response that he revealed his true character. Naija Confra has a policy of NEVER revealing viewers’ chats or information, even if they are against us. Every viewer is kept anonymous and secure, and for that reason, we will not display Okechukwu’s messages. Okechukwu is a young boy, and a former NBM criminal who is quick to threaten, rob, and harm others, and if he does not change his ways in time, his de@th is very near. ultraviolet27:Cult clash in Cape Town caught on video CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA: Earlier today, Naija Confra reported an internal cult clash within the Maphite (GCAI) cult group in Parklands, Cape Town, South Africa, where members almost k**led themselves yesterday. A GCAI cultist named Osazuwa (picture on TG) was nearly k**led. In the Maphite cult, Cape Town is called “Kaapstad Family.” The issue started after the overall leader of Maphite (Supreme Don) named Nester, reportedly interfered and imposed a number 1 man (Don) who is loyal to him in Cape Town, which some Maphite cultists rejected. Maphite members in Cape Town informed Naija Confra that it is the duty of the COP (Council of Profs) to carry out the process, but the national leader interfered, causing division within the group. The COP rejected the Supreme Don’s choice and vowed to cause unrest within the cult group. Yesterday, a serious fight broke out between the COP faction and the faction loyal to the Supreme Don. A man named Osazuwa, who is in the Supreme Don’s faction, was nearly k**led. Gvnshots were fir£d, and other we@pons were used during the clash. In January, Naija Confra also reported an internal clash within the Maphite cult group in Johannesburg which was also over leadership issues where the Supreme Don was also mentioned. Maphite is also divided nationally, with one faction identifying as GCAI (Green Circuit Association International) and another as GMI (Great Minds Initiative). Non-cultists, this is the same “Intellectual Maphite” they want you to join - you will only end up d¥ing intellectually if you join them. Reject Cultism — Naija Confra (@naijaconfra) April 4, 2026 |
EKURHULENI, SOUTH AFRICA: The boy in this picture is Okechukwu Nnamani, alias Okey One Pipe or One Pipe. He is a notorious NBM (Aye) cultist whose violent activities have made many members of his own group reject and distance themselves from him. For years now, his name has been linked to fear, bl00dshed, and endless wars in Ekurhuleni, South Africa, bringing more heat and destruction upon Nigerians living abroad.Source Naija Confra has now obtained the video of the cultist named Ugochukwu, who was k**led by NBM (Aye) cultists yesterday in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng Province, east of Johannesburg, South Africa. We will not mention his cult group for now. We will sit back and watch how the situation plays out before proceeding further. (Clear video on TG). However, NBM cultists in the area should watch their backs, as some of their reckless cultists have started violence that may end up claiming the lives of innocent NBM members. After a careful investigation into this case, and after reviewing evidence presented by both NBM members and the rival cult group, two NBM cultists have been mentioned in the attack - Okechukwu Nnamani, alias Okey One Pipe, and another NBM cultist named Hilux. We urge the rival cult group involved to use the CCTV footage from the location and pursue the matter legally with the South African authorities to avoid further bloodshed. These are the Nigerians and of Africa (NBM) cultists who are terr0rizing South Africa, damaging the name of Nigeria, and causing innocent and peaceful Nigerians living in South Africa to suffer the consequences of their £vil actions. The CDHR called for the immediate restoration of the detainees’ rights and urged both the African Union and the United Nations to intervene. The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) has raised the alarm over what it described as the “heinous and unlawful” detention of 62 Nigerians in Uganda, accusing authorities in the East African country of violating international laws and diplomatic norms. In a statement issued on Monday, the group said the detained Nigerians were allegedly being held without access to legal representation, communication, or due process, conditions it said amount to a “grave breach” of fundamental human rights. The statement, signed by CDHR National President, Yinka Folarin, condemned the development as barbaric and unacceptable, warning that it undermines long-standing diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Uganda. According to the organisation, the alleged actions of Ugandan authorities violate key provisions of international legal frameworks, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. “These instruments expressly prohibit arbitrary detention and guarantee the rights to fair hearing, legal representation, and consular access,” the group said, adding that Uganda’s alleged actions represent a “flagrant violation” of its international obligations. The CDHR called for the immediate restoration of the detainees’ rights and urged both the African Union and the United Nations to intervene. It also urged Nigerians to intensify demands for accountability and systemic reforms. “The dignity of Nigerians, whether at home or in the diaspora, must never be negotiable,” the group declared. Ugandan authorities had thrown 62 Nigerian nationals into prison and denied them access to legal representation despite mounting concerns over their welfare. The Nigerians, said to be part of a Christian missionary group identified as Life Mission, were arrested by Ugandan immigration officials over allegations of engaging in unauthorised religious activities within the country. Last week, the Ugandan Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control disclosed that the arrests were carried out following intelligence reports indicating that the group was operating without valid work permits in Adjumani district. According to the agency, the suspects were found running a church and engaging in other undisclosed activities deemed unlawful under the country’s immigration framework. The Directorate said the arrests were carried out during coordinated operations on April 27, 2026, in Adjumani and areas within Kampala, including Bukoto and Ntinda. However, leaders of the missionary group have rejected the allegations, insisting that their members were lawfully present in Uganda and involved in humanitarian outreach programmes. The Executive Director of the organisation, Michael ChristisKing, stated that the missionaries had complied with all legal requirements prior to their arrival. ChristisKing added that the group obtained necessary clearances from relevant Ugandan authorities, including the Office of the Prime Minister, the Commissioner for Refugees, and the Born Again Fellowship of Uganda. https://saharareporters.com/2026/05/04/62-nigerians-unlawfully-detained-uganda-cdhr-demands-tinubus-urgent-action-condemns |
By Chidinma ONWUCHEKWA. On May 6, 2026 https://thewhistler.ng/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Untitled-design-29.jpg Suspected members of the drug trafficking and document fraud network pictured after their arrest. (Uganda Ministry of Internal Affairs via X) The Uganda Ministry of Internal Affairs has arrested two Nigerians in connection with an international drug trafficking and document fraud syndicate uncovered in Kampala, dealing another blow to the image of Nigerians living on the continent. The suspects, identified as Ikemefuna Testimony Udo and Ikemefuna Annointing, were nabbed during an intelligence-led operation that also netted a Ugandan kingpin, Mugisha Keith King, a resident of Kira Municipality in Wakiso District, who investigators say runs Keith King Group of Companies, described as largely shell firms used to front criminal operations. Searches carried out at Mugisha’s residence and business premises turned up firearms, live ammunition, multiple passports and identity cards, military gear, communication equipment and forged official documents, painting a picture of a well-organised criminal network with tentacles across multiple countries. Mugisha’s spouse is also being hunted by authorities. She is said to have fled to Brazil after allegedly fraudulently acquiring Ugandan identification documents. Ugandan security agencies say they are working with international partners to apprehend other suspects still on the run, while the immigration status of all foreign nationals linked to the network is being reviewed. Uganda’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reaffirmed the country’s zero-tolerance policy on drug trafficking and urged members of the public to report suspicious activities to law enforcement authorities. This is not the first time Nigerian nationals have come under the scrutiny of Ugandan authorities. In April, several Nigerians were arrested in separate operations over allegations bordering on illegal migration, suspected cybercrime and unauthorised religious activities. https://thewhistler.ng/two-nigerians-arrested-in-uganda-over-drug-trafficking-document-fraud/ |
Leaders of an anti-illegal immigration protest march held in Durban on Wednesday claimed “victory” after allegedly “nabbing five drug dealers” in a block of flats in the notorious Point area on Durban’s South Beach. The march was led by radio personality and activist Ngizwe Mchunu, influencer and social activist Nkosikhona Ndabandaba, radio presenter and event organiser Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma of the March and March Movement, Xolani Khumalo of Sizokuthola fame, and the Labour and Civic Organisation (LACO). It started at King Dinuzulu Park (formerly Botha Park), moved through the Durban city centre via Anton Lembede Street (West Street), and then proceeded along Mahatma Gandhi Road (Point Road) to the South Beach. Ndabandaba later instructed marchers to gather outside the Point Parkade on Mahatma Gandhi Road, saying they had received information that the flats had allegedly been overrun by drug dealers, believed to be from Nigeria. “We won’t go inside — only the police, Ngizwe, Xolani and other leaders will enter to look for drugs. We will not leave until the drugs are found,” Ndabandaba told protesters, urging them to maintain maximum discipline. After nearly an hour of searching the building, Khumalo and police emerged with a man they claimed to be a Nigerian national. He was allegedly found with drugs in his flat and reportedly indicated that more could be found at the Rond Vista block of flats across the road. He was taken there to point out the location, and after about an hour, was brought back to the original flat. The raid lasted nearly two hours, with protesters guarding the building outside. The claim that the building is a drug den was supported by Ngobese-Zuma, who said they had received information from residents that it was one of several such sites, prompting them to remain until police conducted a raid. “Indeed, we have been proven right, as you have seen that one suspect has been nabbed and police are looking for others. What is sad is that this is not the only building used for such activities. These buildings are also used for human trafficking and prostitution, and we have been informed that some police officers are in their pockets, which is why they are not acting,” she alleged. After the raid, protesters marched in an orderly manner to Gugu Dlamini Park near the Workshop Mall, where they were addressed by Mchunu, Khumalo and Ndabandaba. It was there that Mchunu claimed they had nabbed five drug dealers. “We even found drugs on the table and other illegal substances in one flat; that’s how bad the situation was in the complex,” Mchunu told protesters, also taking a swipe at Julius Malema and the EFF, alleging they protect illegal immigrants in the country. Khumalo said the battle ahead would be long and would require bravery, adding that he expected a larger turnout at future marches. Ndabandaba said this marked the beginning of a prolonged campaign to fight drug dealers and illegal immigrants in the country. https://insidepolitic.co.za/anti-illegal-immigration-protesters-claim-victory-after-nabbing-five-drug-dealers-in-durban/ |

Nigeria maintains largest African economy for fifth year in a row as Egypt catches up Nigeria remains the largest African economy with a nominal GDP of $477.4 billion. The top three economies accounted for 49.5% of the African continent’s economy. Angola recorded the fastest growth, while Zimbabwe contracted the most. Egypt is catching up with Nigeria with a GDP of $476.7 billion. Nigeria maintained the position of the largest economy on the African continent for the fifth consecutive year in 2022, with a nominal GDP of $477.4 billion. The giant of Africa, as it is mostly referred to, accounted for 17.4% of the African economy in the review year ($2.7 trillion). This is according to data released by the World Bank. Nigeria has topped this list since 2018 when it overtook South Africa as the largest African economy. According to the World Bank, Nigeria’s economy grew by 8.3% year over year in 2022 from $440.8 billion recorded in the previous year. Egypt followed with a GDP estimate of $476.7 billion, having recorded a 12.3% growth in its GDP from $424.7 billion in 2021. In third position was South Africa with an estimate of $405.9 billion. It is worth noting that the top three economies on the continent account for almost half of the continent’s economy (49.5%). Other countries that made the list of the top 10 largest economies in Africa include Algeria ($191.9 billion), Ethiopia ($126.8 billion), Kenya ($113.4 billion), Angola ($106.7 billion), Tanzania ($75.7 billion), Ghana ($72.8 billion), and Cote d’Ivoire ($70 billion). Egypt is however catching up with Nigeria on the list of largest economies on the African continent after the northeastern country expanded by 12.3% to $476.7 billion, almost levelling with Nigeria. Egypt surpassed South Africa in 2020 as the second-largest African economy and has remained in that position to date. Fastest growing economies On the list of fastest-growing economies on the African continent, Angola topped the list with a growth rate of 62.5%. Specifically, the GDP of the central African country increased from $65.7 billion recorded in 2021 to $106.7 billion in 2022. According to the African Development Bank (AfDB), the growth was spurred by sustained high oil prices, which averaged $100.65/barrel in 2022. Sudan followed with a growth rate of 50.9% as GDP grew from $34.2 billion to $51.7 billion in the review year. Zambia recorded a growth rate of 34.5% to stand in third position, while Guinea was the fourth fastest growing with a nominal growth rate of 31.9%. Seychelles grew by 23.4% to $1.59 billion in 2022. On the flip side, Zimbabwe recorded the highest contraction of 27.1% as its nominal GDP dropped from $28.4 billion to $20.7 billion. Ghana followed with an 8% contraction, while the GDP of Sierra Leone dipped by 6.6% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the continent’s economy expanded by 3.8% to $2.7 trillion from $2.5 trillion recorded in the previous year, despite different headwinds, which impact most economies on the continent, ranging from high inflationary pressure, fiscal deficit, and high debt amongst others. What they are saying The African Development Bank has said that Africa is poised to become the second-fastest growing region globally in 2023, following Asia, underscoring the resilience of its economy in the face of numerous global shocks. However, the attainment of this projected growth hinges on both global circumstances and Africa’s capacity to enhance its economic resilience, as indicated by the 2023 African Economic Outlook report by the African Development Bank. The report, unveiled by the regional bank, predicts that Africa will strengthen its recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to a 4.3% increase in GDP growth in 2024, up from 3.8% in 2022. It further highlights that 22 countries are expected to achieve growth rates exceeding 5%. It, however, recommended robust policy actions, including incentivizing green industries, and providing guarantees at scale to de-risk private sector investments in managing natural capital across the continent. https://nairametrics.com/2023/07/21/nigeria-maintains-largest-african-economy-for-fifth-year-in-a-row-as-egypt-catches-up/ |
