Yesterday in Jos, after weeks of procrastination and rehearsals, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress demonstrated another pattern of unfitness for the office he seeks to occupy. From his unsteady gaits to his incoherence and the unintended but welcome prayer for the PDP, all was a theatrical exhibition of a misplaced ambition.

The manifestation in Jos is a further consolidation of a pattern in the physical and psychological composition of Tinubu, who a few weeks ago shocked his host, Governor Nasir El-Rufai when he said Nigeria would go from rotten to bad. [b][/b]The Court of Appeal, Abuja division on Wednesday delivered a ruling granting the application of appeal filed by Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu against the judgement of the Federal High Court, Abeokuta, delivered on 27th September, 2022 which ordered a fresh governorship primary election.

It will be recalled that the appeal court at its sitting on Monday reserved ruling on this application till today after arguments for and against the application by the two counsels to Adebutu, Chief Chris Uche, SAN and Dr. Kemi Peinhero, SAN for Olabode & Co (Jimi LAWAL’s cohorts).

The arguments ensued after the court informed the sitting that Hon. ADEBUTU’S Appeal had been allocated with Appeal No. CA/IB/411A/2022 and with a motion to rely on the records earlier compiled and transmitted by the National body of PDP in Appeal No. CA/IB/411/2022 that was moved by Chief Uche seeking the court’s grant for the application.

Counsel to Olabode & co (Jimi Lawal) urged the court to dismiss the application on the grounds that the application was incompetent in his view.

Delivering the court ruling on the application, Justice Folashade Ojo said the decision to allow the application of Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu was a unanimous decision of the three panelists, Justice Moore Adumein, Hon. Justice Folashade Ojo and Justice Yargata Nimpa.

A member of Atiku's campaign team, Rivers State, came under attack while trying to post Atiku's campaign poster in Omuma LGA. Comr. Wisdom Enyi, the Coordinator of the Media wing of Atiku's Support Team, alleges that the said attack was ordered by Gov. Wike and carried out by Hon. Kelechi Nwogu.

The assailed supporter of Atiku is still hospitalized and struggling to survive from the cuts inflicted on him. This dastardly act, according to Wisdom, bespeaks the worst form of politics of bitterness orchestrated by a sitting governor.

The law enforcement agencies are, by this distress call, urged to swing into action to uncover and apprehend the culprits. Politics should never be played this way in the 21st century. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This is the situation on this currency change:

1. So many Nigerians have stacked Naira notes in their closets and are cut up with this policy of the CBN. There is a rush by ignorant Nigerians to convert their Naira to Dollars. Naira is at all time low against dollar and it's going to go even lower. For example a man converts #10m to 12,500 USD at the current exchange rate. It's easier to keep it with himself than to deposit in a Domiciliary account with a DMB because of the stringent policies around FX cash deposits. He hopes that by December when the new Nigeria is floated, he'd have his FX converted back to Naira from the Aboki guys he bought his USD from.

2. The Aboki man who sold FX to his customers at exorbitant rate excitedly goes to the DMB to deposit the millions of Naira he got the the FX swap he did. He knows he is getting richer in geometric proportion by this new policy by the CBN. He awaits the printing of the new Naira notes so as to reconvert the Naira he has in his account today USD and continue making more money.

3. All customers who deposited their Naira notes, those depositing and those who would be depositing are eagerly waiting for December 15. The DMBs are also waiting for the said date. Meanwhile there is a cashless policy waiting to hit all Nigerians by January 2023. On December 15th, customers would rush to the DMBs for new notes so as to withdraw as much as they can before January when the cashless policy would be effected 100%. The DMBS would rush to the central bank branches to withdraw new notes. The branches would go to the H/O for new notes. H/O would release just a little to branches based on cash management policies. CBN Branches would release in trinkets to DMB branches and tell them to go manage their customers. DMBs would revert back to their customers based on the low available new cash notes. There would be slight panicking as customers who deposited old naira notes cannot retrieve same notes from the DMBs anymore because of unavailability. Remember, digital money and paper money is still money and so customers would be advised to use electronic channels to make payments.

4. The Aboki guy who kept millions of Naira is also a victim of the shortage of new notes and so he cannot buy back FX from his customers who were hoping to return the ones the got earlier ones the new notes are in place. Aboki begins to panick as well. Those who have FX and need naira notes begin to sell their FX to people who have naira whether old or new just to cash in before January. In doing so, USD begins to crash as rapidly as it rose. Much of the FX becomes deposited in DMBs as carrying the raw cash isn't useful anymore. The CBN is happy because there is more FX in the banking system to give for Forms A, M and Q. Naira begins to gain rapidly against the dollar.

Overwhelmed by the conviviality of a civil atmosphere Kashim Shettima , the Grand commander of Bandits and the running mate of the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress ( APC), who has gathered enough funds from his field soldiers to be so intoxicated as to engage in a verbal gibberish that is only permissible in Sambisa Forest. He has been seen in a footage where he was exciting a rented crowd with whimsical pot shots at His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.

It was the same hallucination that made Shettima to have defined an illusory presidency where he would create an office for Boko Haram in the villa, with him in charge of the security of our precious Nigeria.

The emergence of the garrulous, intemperate and indecorous Shettima is another manifestation of the failure of APC, which after weeks of shilly-shally to fill the slot of a running mate ultimately settled for a rustic jejune whose concept of a suit is the sartorial equivalence of Babanriga.

Nigerians are again invited to critically assess the jesters in the political space whose understanding of political campaign is the acerbic deployment of an unsterilised mouth.

The joke rested squarely on Shettima, who in an attempt to desecrate the wholesomeness of Abubakar Atiku succeeded in promoting the Presidential campaign front runner as a productive, enterprising and job- creating office seeker who does not fit into the mould of rent seekers like Shettima and his Presidential campaign boss.

Furthermore, in attempting to cast aspersions at Atiku's high profile Shettima only succeeded to promote him as a global citizen who is well acceptable in Dubai, UAE and indeed America where he's currently engaging in deep political activities with Nigerians in diaspora, high profile American government officials and the American business community

Great Nigerian patriots are called upon to begin to separate the wheat from the chaff, because while Shettima, Tinubu and other APC laggards focus on personality rarher than programmes, Atiku and Okowa being urbane, decoruos , savvy and focused have continued to conduct themselves with decency and engaging with Nigerians on the great prospects of a prosperous, competitive and high ranking nation under the impending administration of PDP.

In a decent country Shettima ought to be in jail to pay for the blood of innocent citizens and the deprivation that lawful Nigerians have suffered from his private army. It is sad that we are in a country where the morally bankrupt, economically ruinous and intellectually incompetent administration of APC has held sway for 8 disastrous years. Nigerians must reject Shettima and his gang, because as Bob Marley sang no one can free us but ourselves.

The Special Assistant to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar downplayed the chances of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday, declaring that Nigerians will not elect a ghost president.

Mr. Phrank Shaibu, in a statement issued in Washington, DC, accused Tinubu of avoiding public scrutiny and using proxies to answer questions reserved exclusively for would-be presidents.

Kashim Shettima and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been charged for acting out in front of rival presidential candidates.

Eta Uso, Atiku Abubakar's communications advisor, made this accusation in a string of tweets on November 2nd.

Uso claimed that Tinubu and Shettima only speak to audiences that they financially support, which is why he claimed they turned down an invitation to a recent Lagos Chambers of Commerce event.

With alert and terror threat looming, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar on Friday held a crucial meeting with officials of the US States Department in Washington DC.

The meeting, which focused primarily on enhancing cooperation with the U.S. authorities on Nigeria’s security challenges, elections and democracy was led by Atiku and Assistant Secretary, States Department, Bureau of African Affairs, Molly Phee.

According to sources from the PDP presidential candidate's side, “the meeting last night with officials of the States Department could not have come at a better time with the terrorist threat alert by the U.S. UK and Canada and the withdrawal of its non essential staff by the U.S Embassy in Nigeria.”

A press statement signed by Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to Atiku, on Saturday, said that, “the focus of discussions were on the critical need to seek collaborative solutions to our local issues on democracy and governance, our deteriorating security and the economy.

“Most importantly, the meeting secured commitments to support for free and fair elections in Nigeria, an announcement of a sanction policy before the elections to deter anti-democratic forces, and commitments for continued partnership with Nigeria in areas of security and development.”

Ajah is being accused of complicity in the death of a 46-year-old man identified as Azubuike Inya. The deceased was allegedly killed by hoodlums who inflicted machete wounds on him that led to his death.

According to the police, both Mr. Ajah and the late Mr. Inya are from Amankwo village in Nkpoghoro community in the Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. Investigations revealed that the killing was occasioned by an intra-communal crisis involving the two factions of Amankwo village.

One of the factions is said to be led by Mr. Ajah while another faction is led by one Ifeanyi Obila. The two groups have constantly clashed in the community as they battled for supremacy and control of the community.

A senior US State Department official has resigned over President Donald Trump’s response to the protests against racial injustice and police brutality across the nation.



Mary Elizabeth Taylor, the assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs, submitted her resignation on Thursday, according to the Washington Post.



Her departure was directly related to the president’s response to racial injustice.



According to her resignation letter, which was quoted by the newspaper, Taylor wrote: “The President’s comments and actions surrounding racial injustice and Black Americans cut sharply against my core values and convictions”.



“I must follow the dictates of my conscience and resign,” she added in the letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the newspaper reported.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned the factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Adams Oshiomhole stop his obsession to change the leadership of the Senate, as such is completely out of his reach.

The party counsels Oshiomhole to stop his childish tantrums and get educated on the fact that the positions of the Senate President and
that of Deputy Senate President do not belong to political parties but to Nigerians, who elect persons into the seats through their elected representatives in the Senate.

Mr. Oshiomhole should also stop exposing his
ignorance in thinking that the Senate leadership can be changed by his inconsequential
orders as a factional chairman of a political party, when the law is settled that such power is vested only on the two-third votes, representing
73 of the 109 senators.

We know that Oshiomhole is under intense pressure from the Presidency to overheat the polity, distract the National Assembly members and make as much effort to cause a constitutional crisis in the country, having realized that they cannot win the 2019 general elections.

However, the PDP strongly cautions these desperate power grabbers to note that their actions have unlimited capacity to destroy our democracy.

The Kwara State House of Assembly has urged state government, to immediately revert to the last academic session’s tuition fee regime for all categories of students, of the State owned Polytechnic.
This call was part of the Resolutions of the House, after considering the report of the House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development, on the controversy surrounding tuition fee in the Institution.
It would be recalled that the Parliament through its Committee on Education, had last week waded into the imbroglio, by inviting all Stakeholders, in order to have first hand information and proffer amicable solution to the controversy.
