In 1993, Abiola from SW won all the LG in Kano including Tofa LG (the presidential opponent lost his local government to Abiola). That same Abiola lost in all the South East states except one to Tofa (a northerner) the first person that led protest against that election was Nzeribe (another Southerner) but you never saw any Yoruba crying of betrayal.
