Hi All on this thread,

stop paying agents. Changing anything on international passport can be done through the portal.

google nigerian immigration portal, go to the site, apply for a change of whatever , fill the form, pay the fee of about 15 or 17k online, get an appointment date immediately and go for the interview.

Make sure you go with the necessary documents for the interview and you would be fine.

you do not need to spend more than 17k to get all these done the right way.

i am applying for a name change and it is all i did. my interview is next week. and No you dont have to go to abuja, i am doing this in port harcourt.

Mine was same name but different DOB totally different day/month/year(dont know what my school was thinking about) . I was lucky It wasn't a problem....

I finally changed the date of birth in my passport. It was not as hard as i thought, infact I got my passport changed within 1 week without paying for express, It was God's favour all through and perfect timing.

I have done it bro.
The day, Month and Year of birth (4years difference)was all incorrect but I was able to correct it.

You cannot have two passports. You biometric data with them will show you have an existing passport.
However, you can change the information on your old passport. The existing passport will be cancelled without prejudice.

Although, someone I know has two e passports, but uses only one. But I'm cynical about trying to do that, so I came here to ask.

You should be fine. Carry both passports.

Can one have two passports? Having almost same name let's say Passport A has John Doe G born 1st June 1960 but wants to have another passport with these details... John G Doe, 1st June 1962?

Its not instant...you have to write a letter to waec after which they will consider your application. it takes weeks

About #20,000...i think its 10000 for each..not to talk of the stress of going to your school to get a letter and all of that.

I am not sure waec does DOB correction anymore (since january 2017). Best thing is for you to check any waec office nearest to you for the correct infor.

Hello bro, I will suggest you get a court affidavit, quoting the real date of birth. That should save you from any mess in future.
