i dont understand this at all. I mean its one country, why cant you visit whereever you like within the country? People who get a US visa tavel to other states, should people be confined to one state because thats what they stated in their application? I am so confused! I am genuinely asking, please enlighten me.

Ruskov:

Of course . But Edmonton has their own international airport, why do you want to spend that sort of money? Plus if you do not have a perfect explanation for those(the stop overs) , it's very likely to raise eyebrows. Not sure of what you'd tell the immigration officers at the airport.

Okay, Thank you.

Emmafe:
They will only go that deep during secondary interrogation. Have a good reason for going to Toronto, accommodation n pof in your account.

I am sure they dont ask invitation letter, i just assumed where you go would be in their system.
Emmafe:
I’ve not seen anyone asked to produce invitation letter. Just make sure you’ve a good reason to be in Toronto, accommodation reservations and pof in your account.

Yeah it’s a problem, a big red flag.

Guys, so me and my family are arriving in toronto in july but the invitation letter i submitted from my friend is from Calgary. Do you think that would be a problem at the POE? Please let me known if you have a similar experience or if you know people who had the same experience.

My son has the visa, they just returned mine without it. We sent it together and we got it together. I signed all the forms and i submitted in person so they checked everything. I submitted on Thursday and they returned it today. I am so angry!

josephb:
Hi,

Sorry to hear about the return of your passports back to you without visas.
I would like to know whether you included all the requirements whilst sending to the VAC?
Also were your passports returned like some days after sending to VAC?

It could just be some documents missing out.

Regards,

The most unbelievable thing happened today, I sent my passport together with my sons passport to the vac and they returned my passport without a visa. What kind of work is the IRCC doing ? I am just in shock! Now i have to engage with them all over again, i am so tireeeeeeed of them!

Dear all

I submitted a group trv application with my son ( 1.5 years old) in September 2022 they sent me a bvl on the 2nd of may and visa number was updated yesterday for me. However, nothing has changed on my son's application. There is also a 2021trv application for him that i submitted on his own, but there is no movement on that either. I thought when u applied in a group you get results together. Does anyone have any experience on this?

Is there any update for those people that saw an update on April 19 ? Mine says
biometric and Eligibility Review complete but I haven't received a bvl or any other update.

P.S my eligibility started in early March.

Who are u to tell me to relax, this is a public forum and I am allowed to voice my opinion. I have an application since 2021, I have been patiently waiting for almost two years. Don't say anything on other people's comment with so much judgement when u don't know their stories.

Alexino360:

Relax, it's batch by batch they're currently giving BVL to those that applied in late 2021, once majority of these late 2021 applicant gets their PPR then they'll come down to early 2022.

If you've noticed the processing time got updated yesterday April 18 2023 to 643 days meaning they're currently approving late 2021 applicant.

Those that applied in 2019 and early 2021 got their PPR on Tuesday 12 April 2023 (last week).

So just chill.

Yes

Hola55:

Did you applied on the New Portal?
Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by srke2022(f): 7:16pm On Apr 12, 2023
He is a minor, I didn't know there was such a rule. I was concerned when his file remained the same.

Hola55:
]Me and my son submitted an application together as a group. My application changed into eligibility review on March 10 but his application didn't change into eligibility review. Does that mean they haven't opened his application even though we applied together?

It won't change if he is minor

You should reapply on the new portal. I have also been waiting since November 2021. I think we have a better chance of getting a decision that way.

Thank you so much for your time.

It depends on your travel plans. If your travel plan is to travel soon later in the year, then you can’t apply for a new visa since you already have one still running. You can exercise some patience towards December/January and plan towards a travel date post expiry date of your visa. You can plan towards applying when the visa is almost expired for a renewal with that of your son.

Alternatively, apply for that of your son now but you never can tell when decision would be made and yours might be too close to expiry at that time.

I did renew my passport, and i am using it in my application. i am just worried that they would say u already have a valid visa and refuse me because of that. The reason i want to apply early is to apply with my son so that he can get the visa as well ( his appication is in the system with no movement for a year). And since I have an active US visa and TRV, i am hoping to get a decision soon. Have there been people who renewed with a few months vality, please share your experiences.

P.S I got a 5 year visa last time.

olasubomy:

It is better you apply for a renewal of your passport before applying for your visa since the expiry is around 4 months away just for your peace of mind. Then apply with the new passport. Which should cover a reasonable length just in case the officer wants to grant 6months duration or more..

My visa expires in January 2023, I wanted to apply this month. Would that create any problems ? Are there ppl who were in similar circumstances and succesfully renewed their visa without isssue? please share your experiences.
