My good people here, I stumble on this three. A closed friend need urgent advise. He did is masters online and graduated last year August, the school has invited him and his family for graduation ceremony this May. He has paid the visa fees and filled the online form. Waiting for his interview feb 20. But something came up. Sometimes in 2003 his late uncle brought a lady from u.s and they did court registry. Along the line the visa wasn’t issued and no biometric then. He has actually forget that incident existed and couldn’t even remember what really transpired then. He has travelled to 7 schegen countries, and others. All he could recall was, the passport name then was okaka Alexander. But he has since been using another biometric passport which is okaka Alex Omo and the date of birth change too. He has already filled his form that he has never apply before and he has no body in u.s. nothing he can really recall in that 15years ago incident. He is doing well in Nigeria now. Please advise

@op. It's always a problem when you are black in schengen and other European territory, many of us might pretend over it but that's the truth. I was pulled by police in Switzerland while walking with my white friends despite living there with the right document, they still told my friends to beware of me cos am a black man. 2011 in Poland, police pulled me from multitude at the airport cos that day I was the only black person, they check everything about me though I confronted them which they later apologise. So many other times in Amsterdam, Paris, even in Milan . Then the worst was in Moscow Russia, those police are very mean. There was a time i told police in Frankfurt if is a crime to be black cos what they did to me was un- unforgettable. So my brother, always know that you are in a land where they will always question and Check your document most especially cos u are black. Remain safe.

This reminds me of an ugly encounter with an Edo girl in Milan Central 2009. Those girls don't have joy at all.

I have travelled to Italy 2times. Germany and Nederland plus turkey with multiple entry shenanigan visas obtained from Italy embassy. However I overstayed on the last trip for 4months. What is the possibility of securing another visa when I want.

Schengen countries don't really have specific reasons for refusing visa. I know this cos I have was been to schengen country 15 times getting my visas in 12 different countries. The honest truth is if they don't wanna give you they won't give you if you like present all the best document in this world it won't change anything.

Where will I even start from? I am still in shock cos the founder is not just someone I know but a personal friend. How could Edward do such a thing? Church without offering and tithe?Too good to be True. I will call him cos something is not right here.

This is why we can never progress. 70 days fasting for who? Let them covert that fasting to 70 days research. Fasting my foot. Mtchewwww

I really don't know to place this but I hope you'll get my point.

I and a friend had this lenghty discussion recently on the paths of our careers. Many ideas kept coming up in the course of our discussion.

I noticed all my friend was throwing at me was govt job and govt job. He talked on how secured and less busy govt workers at work cause he has a sister and his Dad who currently works and got retired in the same parastatal. Also talked about the benefits that follows after retirement and the ample time you have to control your private business (which i disagree on). He threw many juicy benefits about govt job and I began to give it a thought.

Now to me; I am a very business savvy guy. Nothing thrills me more than seeing a successful business man/woman or hearing a great business idea. I see youths and individuals into business doing exploits and they have all the time to their selves, call the shots and are not mentally lazy.

I picked a point from him where he said govt employees can control their business and still be in the govt system with other benefits.

I am seeking advise on this so that i know which is best

You can never compare private business and Government work. private business is far better but there is a catch. Like most people will say everybody is a business man but in actual sense everybody is not a business person.
You must have passion for the biz u wanna set up and makesure u don't let profit to be your top priority at the initial stage. As you move on u will be reaping the rewards. Like myself, when I resign from oil company then most people told me is home problem cos that were people dream to work. Within me I knew I will achieve more as a private person and I was very passionate about the biz I was about to do. Today after 14 years the rest is now history. I have achieved far more than even my friends who still work there till now. But private biz require hard work.

The recent event as regards to the president in the past weeks is not what we Nigerians bargained for. We have a president , he is sick and in London for treatment and no news about his health OK fine but turning the sick man to a tourist attraction for our so called leaders, called for serious attention.
First it was Acting president that visited him and came to explain how jovial and in good spirit the man was. Good, we accept his version of his visit. Not up two weeks another tourist from APC went there and claim they had breakfast or lunch with the president, coming back again to claim president is very fine doing well and even take propaganda photos with him. Not satisfied, another group of selected tourist went there few days ago just to go take picture with our new tourist attraction president.

Ok, my questions are, if our acting and the so called Governors claimed about the president is true why did he not make at least 30 seconds video thanking Nigerians for their prayers and support? Why did the first tourist Governs came back with conflicting reports that the president will come this week, next week and so on. What was the need for the second tourist Governors to visit? Is there something none of them is telling us? Time will tell. I think the line of tourist to visit next will be senators, Rep members and ministers. Let them keep deceiving themselves.

I am a strong supporter of APC and President Buhari but i must say i am 'highly' disappointed that they are playing 'hide and seek' with the 'true' state of Mr presidents health.

Yes this country is bad now but don't forget we are talking about people living social media fake lifes. Anyway u don't have to give on on this country easily. I believe there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Washing plate in Europe is not a better option trust me.

Actually those pictures will make u work harder and serve as source of inspiration but it depends on how you look those things. I experience things like this way back when Instagram wasn't even there. What I did was to take it as source of motivation and the rest is history. A friend who post pictures of him in exotic locations and claiming good life in Frankfort Germany suddenly turned cold when he got a call from me and I was in Frankfort to take care of some business. Only for me to know my guy dey wash plate for one local restaurants. Social media and lies.

Well that's the problem with some eastern europe countries. I have handful experience from there but two that really struck me was, I was waiting for my flight to Switzerland from Poland after spending two days there. I notice I was the only black at the the airport yes u heard right only black person. Some military airport men came to me and start asking stupid questions which I gave then stupid answers too. I ask them, so among these multitude of people sitting u singled me out cos am black? Later their superior apologise and move on. Polish people are not really racist but just a few of them.

The second one is, I was in a tram in Russia charting with a friend when some white dude said, look are these people they are big monkeys from africa. Lol..... Not funny that day though.. Yes they were saying it in Russian so the whole place erupted into laughter I was shocked what must have happened that every body is laughing until my friend who unknowingly to them speak Russian told me why they are laughing at us. I stood up to the guys and And started reigning insults upon insults on them. I think some understand English a little I even threatened to bust his head but you trust these racist people, police were patiently waiting at the next stop. To cut the story short, I gave them tough time and sensing am an experienced traveller , the police ask the guys to tender apology which they did and we left. Other incidents I can't even explain.

Bird of the same feather. These judges should be ashamed of themselves for abusing their offices. What can one tell of judges that cross to Benin republic, Nigel just to collect bribe? What can we tell of them when they all living above their means? Dollars, pounds and different amount of hard currency stock in their house? Even the NJC full of corrupt people all they can do is to at most send these judges to retirement and indirectly telling them go and enjoy your loot without prosecution.

We must commend the DSS for the courage they exhibit in making sure nobody is above the law while acting withing their power. For those who are ranting that DSS did this or that, let me tell you that DSS action was in accordance with what they were set up for by making sure anything that will cause sincurity threat to the nation is thwarted. All these judges fall in that security threat category because they suppose to be the voice to the voiceless, hope to the hopeless but they let corruption to take over them. How many conviction have we gotten since all these corruption trials? None .Once they collect money they will keep adjourning then withdraw from the case altogether. DSS thank you for the good work, Nigerians solidly behind you.
