Following the recent American airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including the heavily fortified Fordow underground site in an effort to ensure that the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei did not obtained a nuclear weapons, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei acknowledged that recent US and Israeli strikes badly damaged the country's nuclear installations, condemning the attacks as a detrimental blow not just to infrastructure, but also to international law and diplomacy.


According to Iran International English, the Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi during an interview, insisted that Iran had not abandoned diplomacy, but sharply criticized Western Governments, especially the administration of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and its allies including the administration of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu and the country members of the European Union for contradictory" actions, casting doubt on whether the US and its allies were truly serious about negotiations.

In his words, Esmaeil Baghaei said "Our nuclear installations were badly damaged, that’s for sure, because they came under attack by Israeli and American aggressors. The strikes caused a detrimental blow to international law, ethics, and diplomacy. Tehran is focused for now on internal security and the public’s anger after the attacks. We have nothing to say about those contradictory remarks regarding diplomacy or negotiations. We have to make sure whether the other parties are really serious when they're talking about diplomacy — or whether it is, again, part of their tactics to make more problems for the region and for my country
Regarding the recent decision of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to suspend all cooperation with UN nuclear inspectors, the top Iranian diplomat, Esmaeil Baghaei argued that the decision was a justified reaction, signaling a potential escalation in nuclear opacity. He also reiterated that Iran retained its non-negotiable right to peaceful nuclear energy under international treaties.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has instructed police officers to cease wearing dark glasses while in uniform.

reports that this directive, effective immediately, was communicated through a wireless message dated Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and sent to all zonal and state commands within the police force.
