Presently in d labour ward.having unbearable stomach ache since yestaday afternoon.very very painful.Dr just checked baby's heartbeat,its beating so loudly on d device.bp normal.running an MP test now.I'm suspecting allergy to d overripe avocado of yestaday i brought from d fridge.Dr didnt say anytin about it though.I've vomited severally, noting more to vomit now.

My BS:-

On 12th September, i was 40 wks 5days pregnant, i have been feeling pains but the kind of back pain i had around 9pm was different so i told DH i would go to the hospital the following day(Sunday) though my next ANC was Monday. Around 3am, Sunday morning, i heard this cork sound while on the bed and immediately i concluded my water had broken, about 5 minutes later, i went to pee and on returning to the bed, water gushed out, i woke DH and advised we head to the hospital (FTM things and as per what i don dey hear about the danger of first poop by the baby coming out immediately .....).

We got to the hospital with my things around 4:15am but i was being tossed up and down before i got a bed space as the only thing i told the nurses when asked why i came to the hospital was that my water broke. I was told to go look for a doctor to minute on my file that i should be admitted in the ANC ward and seeing a doctor at that time was difficult but God granted me favor and after about an hour i found a doctor,when he tested me,i was 5 cm gone but no serious contractions. I got a bed space and during the morning ward round( around 10am),the doctor on duty complained that the doctor who attended to me should have augmented my labor because when he also checked me,i was still 5cm, oxytocin was administered and the process began, by 2pm, i was contracting and the pleasure no be here, i just kept saying, God help me, Blood of Jesus( you know how e dey be when e reach d peak).

By 4 pm i was 7cm gone and taken to the delivery room but warned not to push or sit or poo poo that it wasn't yet time. From that time on, it was heaven on earth ,around 5:30pm the nurse came ,checked me and said i had catput( pronounced that way but not sure of the spelling) that i might have to deliver via CS. I started praying in my mind and my DH where he was ,he was told to get blood sample etc which he got but he kept destroying " last minute battle organized at the gate of my safe delivery".

There and then , a doctor kept coming 30-45 mins interval and kept checking me, at a point ,he said he was mild catput,that i can deliver myself. I felt like vomiting and pooing at the same time, around 8pm,i was 10cm and taken to the second stage labor room. The nurse told me to hold legs and forcefully push, God helped me,after about 6 pushes ,my joy came forth at 8 :05pm weighing 3.5.

It can only be God.

This undescribable yet amazing experience helped me appreciate my mother more.

Na waa oo, this is really scary, pls Wo knows d meaning of d catput n its effect. Anyway, thank God it ended in praise.

Pple are running away from induction and you want to request for it even when you ve not reached 40weeks. I guess your doctor gave you 5th Oct based on your LMP. Most late preggy scan do push edd forward, I think you should stick to the edd your doc gave you and relax your mind as long as there is no medical condition. It will surely end with praise

i was like since induction pain n normal delivery pain re dsame, i rather go 4 induction 2 mk it faster. Dats wot i tot shaa, bt i tink i ll ve 2 wait afterall.. Pls wot of my oda qsts

august cm nd pass my lo didnt show...1st sept cm too, d young man no wan show face, fast forward to 7th sept (40wks 6days)..was wakd by smtn at abt 3am in d morning, I tot is normal urine dat always wake me up,I entad toilet nd wee,buh d same tn hit me again in my lower abdomen like menstrual cramp,wantd to lie down,I cant,I was lik hmm,is dis d contraction I always hrd of(d pain no b here)....3.30am.

hapy salah 2 al mamas in d house. My felow team sept mates, hw d pushin dy go? Pls i hv sm questions dat needs atention here, 1) d last scan gave me 27,bt dr gave me 5th oct as my edd. I intend goin 2 d hosp by nxt week 2 ask 4 induction, i ll b 39 wks by nxt wk sunday. dnt no if am doin d rit tin. 2) pls does squatin 2 poo hv any effect on d lo? 3) i do turn frn left 2 right up 2 20 times wen slipin due 2 d uncomfotability of d bed am slipin on causes me. pls dear allow nature to take its course,its a diff experience for diff ppl,my stomach didnt even fall let alone the baby engaging untill labor started,infact at my ANC dat same day,gynae said we r looking at nxt wk but labor started dat night,no vaginal cramp,no elephant walk etc.

Then ur cervical OS is supposed to be closed till u r ready for delivery. It's d place the baby comes out from I.e the communication between the uterus and cervix down to d vagina. Hope u gerrit?

Skimmed milk is usually written on the pack. E.g Dano, it's has both full cream and skimmed milk( Dano slim) versions.
So look out for the skimmed milk version of any brand.

I drank milk like it is going out of fashion since i got here.

I read somewhere that if u dont drink enough calcium in preg the baby will collect your own calcium storage from your bones and the effect will show up as osteoporosis in the future. A gallon of milk is $3 in the store. Cheap price for so much value. Got to protect my bones o!

Also, a dailymail article actually corroborates the taller kids thing.

Naijasecondhand:
Caustic soda...........1 cup
Soda ash.................1 cup
Oil (PKO)..................3 cups

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Dilute the caustic soda with three cups of water

2.Dilute the soda ash with three cups of water also
You'll only be needing one cup each from the diluted caustic soda and soda ash. You can keep the remaining solution for another experiment or another batch of the experiment if you wish.

Or if you are not going for another batch, to avoid waste of your raw materials, simply use this formula:

-1/3cup of caustic soda diluted with one cup of water

-1/3 soda ash diluted with one cup of water

PROCEDURE

1. Put the oil in a dry pan or pot and apply heat enough to warm up the oil (do not fry please)
You may also just stir vigorously if you don't want to use heat at all in order to get your oil warmed up. But please, if the oil is in a solid state, make sure you apply heat to melt.

2. Add one cup of the diluted caustic soda (lye) and stir properly

3. Add 1 cup of the dissolved soda ash and stir properly also. Continue to stir till trace is reached.

Then pour the 'pap look like' solution into your prepared moulds. Allow to stand for 24 hours, remove from mould and allow to cure for 3-6 weeks.

What you'll have at the end of this experiment is a white colour soap.

ABOUT MOULD

You can use soap dishes (the plastic type) as your mould.
Or simply construct a wooden mould. You can ask for samples if you have no idea of what your wooden mould should look like.

Conclusion: you'll notice we didn't use up to 500 naira for this practical. And you still have enough chemicals left.
So, go ahead and produce your first bar soap. It'll encourage me to do more
