Mama I heard that to avoid ur lo frm experiencin colic, u shud gv him/her coconut water imidately after birth, even b4 bm. It goes to open d intestine 4 easy passage of milk. My neibor testified to that. But ensure your baby is not on any medication b4 aplyin.
Wish I had known ds info cos I dnt wish any mama or baby to experience d pains of colic.
Its realy terible n exhaustin.

Pls mamas, my lo has refused to suck from my right breast, even Wen I force him, he cries n resist it. Bt if I place him on my left breast, he grabs it n sucks til he s ful. Pls wot is wrong wt my right breast, n wot do I do 4 him 2 start suckin it?

Stadora, I have two big kids, PCV & Rota i never heard of then, so there was no way of choosing to or not,..They are doing very very very ok.... I only took this time cos of paranoia, i believe i heard about it not too long ago myself,t i still dey grudge the money, it is more than minimum wage....

Don't give it a second thought, take care of your baby & be prayerful, na God dey watch over pikin, we are just mere caregivers...

According to the hospital rotavirus is for diarrhoea and vomiting while pneumococcal is for pneumonia and otitis media.
According to senior modath, its not compulsory but if u can afford it for ur baby just do it.
Personally after spending 19.5k @ 6wks i did not wnt 2 spend again @ 10wks but i finally did n i willvjust do @ 14wks to fulfil all righteousness.

@stadora, did this crying episode start with immunization or has baby been like that for some time now. Is ur baby a boy? Does he wriggle before crying? I'm asking because some babies are very colicky. My 2 were. Some give nospamin, infacol, gripewater, colipan etc but none of these work for me. Ensure to burp baby properly after each feeds and i lay mine on their tummy. If it's colic they outgrow it by 4months. If it's as a result of the immunization, give pcm. Hope there's no fever. Tk care

Yes d cryin started ystday after imunization, dou he s bn colic since birth.hv bn givin him pcm, d fever has come down 2day. Hoping he gets wel soon

Coconut oil is fantastic on baby's skin. That's what I use and no discolouration and he's not dark or darker.

Pls is there anywr I can get original coconut oil in Enugu, or Wo can put me tru on DIY of coconut oil?

Personally i took all for my baby.my hospital gv at 6wks, 10wks n 14wks wc cost 19.5k each tym except for 14wks wc does not hv rotavirus.
@ mama dat says its free in government hospital, pls not in all state oooo.am so sure of lagos n abj dat rotavirus n pneumococcal are not free

Yea, Likewise in my state, Enugu, rota n pcv are #6000 n #8500 respectively, makin a total of #14500, But penta and opv are free.
I had to give my lo only d free ones as I can't aford d others.
Pls how compulsory is rota and pcv, and what do They prevent in children?

Is your baby formula fed. If yes, try switching to Isomil - a lactose free formula. He may be lactose overload, pls google to read more on it. It helped my baby a lot.

My dear, how can I 4gt my 2nd family. Jst dat d kind colic wey dy wory my lo no dy gree me c road, he cries all day, dat I have to carry him all day. Even Wen he manage slip, n I try 2 place him on his bed, he wakes up n resume d cryin. I ve tried all recomended medications, yet none seems 2 wok. Am usin gripe water now, Wich has only coolin effect n alows him 2 slip for some time.
I heard, it wil last til abt 3 months.

That could be right, but if I were an HR and I find a Network Engineer also in possession of a RHCSE, I'd question the genuineness of it. People can dump anything, regardless of whether or not it is a multiple choice exam. System Administration is a role on itself just as Network Administration. If you talk to Network Engineers that have worked over the years maybe with HR or Recruitment agencies, they'll tell you it's hard for you to ene come up with a technician with indepth knowledge at their certification level just in networking not to talk of one that has a CCNA and RHCSA at the same time. I am not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying RHCSA/RHCE is going to far when you may not even use it at your job position. Major companies wouldn't hire a Network Engineer to carry out System Administration duties.

Pls I need u guys advice and contributions, I ve gone tru ccna minor trainin durin my University days in afrihub, bt Not yet certified as am yet 2 make up d money 4 the exam. Meanwhile I also have passion 4 programming, though stil a novice but stil hopin to get to the top someday. My confusion now is on which path to folow interms of skill n certifications so as to achieve my dream of a network engineer and also a web developer/designer. Hope I ll b able to achieve all this, is it posible?

tnx dear. I bought breast pump, it helped but breastmilk doesn't satisfy him. He has started sucking directly from breast but I still give him NAN minutes after each breastfeeding. I'll just continue breastmilk plus NAN.

The vaseline is too prevent diaper irritation in case there is any sore part in the dik, no matter how little.....
