Why are we here(earth). To what purpose is life. If we are from God(heaven) and if to God we shall all return, then what is the point of coming to dis world in the first place when eventually according to some religious doctrine..some will end up in some places that is not heaven (hell, purgatory etc). What is the meaning and purpose of life.

There is so much pain and sorrow on earth,..some many life is cut short,..war, religious strife, brothers killing brothers, nations rising against each other, innocent lives are being lost every moment, when u listen to d news all u hear are tales of woe, bloodshed and death...

Tecno Nigeria is set to release their best phone yet in the next couple of days. They have been posting on Facebook for some days now with the caption “I am coming, are you ready?” depicting the arrival of the Tecno Phantom AIII in a couple of days.

Captioned “I’m coming, are you ready”? The Tecno Phantom A3 is expected in the market for the December – Christmas festive season as that is one key period people get to buy new phones, gadgets, etc to show-off.

BlackBerry wrote an open letter to its users stating why they should stick with them some hours ago. Part of that letter also made mention of BBM for Android and iPhone and that commitment is still high in that area.

To further buttress this, BlackBerry's CMO, Frank Boulben spoke with Reuters and said that as a matter of fact, BlackBerry Messenger will be coming to Android and iPhone for real this time in matters of days.

Its not clear how many days we are talking about here especially considering that the first launch which happened 3 weeks ago was a mess.

However, Frank Boulben says that he's confident that BlackBerry was able to address the issue that plagued the initial launch.

What does this suggest? Well, it just means that very soon, BBM on Android and iPhone will be reality for everyone soon enough.

It has been months now since we first heard the news that the BlackBerry Messenger service was coming to the Android and iOS platforms, and after some false starts we are still no clearer when it will arrive. Now there are claims that the BBM for Android release could be at least a month away.

This year has been a bit of a rocky road for BlackBerry with sales of its new operating system and the hardware running it failing to take off as hoped, but the company has come under a lot of criticism for the late arrival of the BBM app for Android and iOS.

Yesterday we heard that the Android version had now entered the beta testing stage again, but one of our readers who is claiming to be one of these testers is stating that the apps release on Android could be at least a month away.

Now there is no way for us to confirm that these claims are accurate so they will have to be taken with the usual pinch of salt for the time being, but you would have thought that BlackBerry will be working hard not to repeat the problems that happened with the last release.

A leaked older version of the Android app was the cause of the release for both versions of the app being stopped, and maybe the company has the iOS version ready to go but doesn't want to cause a similar situation that has been seen over at RockStar Games with the iFruit app.

You would have thought though that BlackBerry would keep all of its testing in house to have more control over such leaks, as an employee of the company would be more worried about losing their job if they got caught leaking info.

I task everyone to believe in Nigeria irrespective of the current situations; ASUU, corruption, power crisis, unemployment amongst many others.

Irrespective of our many short coming as a nation, we should all celebrate at less for been a united, indivisible and sovereign country, staying together for all this years despite our religious and ethnic differences and been known for being the most optimistic country.

Lets us not abandon ship no matter how bad things may seem, we as a country shall arise and take our place.

No matter what, Nigeria is our own. I don't have another country to call mine, just like many of us. I'm so optimistic that Nigeria will be better Someday.

SOFTWARE HOUSE Microsoft will offer a reward of $100,000 (15,000,000 naira) for the first security researcher to crack Windows 8.1 as part of a bug bounty programme.
Launching on 26 June, the Redmond firm's "Mitigation Bypass Bounty" will pay anyone $100,000 that provides Microsoft with "truly novel exploitation techniques" against protections built into the latest version of its operating system, Windows 8.1 Preview.
"Learning about new exploitation techniques earlier helps Microsoft improve security by leaps, instead of capturing one vulnerability at a time as a traditional bug bounty alone would," Microsoft said in a post on its Security Response Centre.

Microsoft will also hand over a "Bluehat Bonus", an additional $50,000 incentive for hackers that provide it with "defensive ideas" along with their successful Mitigation Bypass submission.
"Doing so highlights our continued support of defensive technologies and provides a way for the research community to help protect more than a billion computer systems worldwide," Microsoft explained.

The firm will also pay up to $11,000 to penetration testers that detect bugs in its previews of Internet Explorer 11, with the entry period for this programme set for the first 30 days of the beta period from 26 June to 26 July.

"Our new bounty programs add fresh depth and flexibility to our existing community outreach programs," Microsoft said. "Having these bounty programs provides a way to harness the collective intelligence and capabilities of security researchers to help further protect customers."
Qualys' director of vulnerability labs Amol Sarwate thinks this is an "intelligent move" by Microsoft to tap talent from all over the world, "especially in the security space where it's hard to find that talent," he said.

"It also encourages good research to land into the hands of vendors rather than being sold on the black market," Sarwate added.
